I always had been a supporter of little business especially people with different ethnic back ground because the come to usa with big dreams and we should help them. Two days ago, I wet to the Indus Food on New Hampshire Ave. Spent more than 100 bucks but there was something keep bothering me. I checked the receipt they charged me $5.99 for 5lb. Noga lowfat yougart....The same yougart I bought it today for $3.99 from Patel brother.....It's just one example .... Take a guess, how these people are ripping you off in other items. For an evidence I am attaching both receipts, plz take a look and think again before you go there.I will never go there and will not recommend anybody to go there.

The store has a great variety of products and the staff is always nice. This is the only store around that has Brinjal eggplant pickle, which I use in place of eggplant chutney because I can't find eggplant chutney anywhere.

I am so happy I found Indus Foods. Their prices on halal meat are better then at Sadaf in Rockville and their variety on other products (spices, sweets, pre-made frozen meals) are great, as well. I bought a 40 lb box of skinless chicken leg and thigh pieces for a BBQ and the total came to $49.99. Will come back for sure!

Good store. This store really has almost everything South Asian grocery wise. Inlcuding the awkward medicines. :) I loved it, and the best part...it didn't smell like a meat shop. Yes, it has halal meat in the back, but it doesn't have the nasty raw meat smell. I recommend coming here.

I stumbled in here while waiting for my take out at Sirin Thai around the corner to be ready and I'll definitely be back. They have a ton of stuff, their prices are great, and the customer service is exception. They were super nice and helpful!

High quality and fresh halal meatIt's the best you will get in the area short of going to a farm and picking what you slaughter, which I have done.
