Indigo lives up to the hype! The food was absolutely fantastic and the atmosphere was cozy with eclectic decorations / signage. Great community feel and staff is very friendly. Their Mango Lassi is dangerously good!

super delicious! obviously a bit expensive (especially if you're ordering the meat dishes) but so far the best indian food i've had in the city.the vegetarian options are two for $19, and all come with a side of rice, chhole, and spinach. the chhole is absolutely delicious. i ordered the mutter paneer and the baingan bharta. both were great but the baingan bharta was out of this world. the smokiness of the eggplant was especially pronounced compared to other baingan bhartas i've had, and i really enjoyed every bite. the portion size was also enormous; the leftovers lasted me two extra meals!the ambiance is also nice; the heaters keep it very toasty in the outside eating area. this place is near my new job and i will have to exercise a lot of self-control not to come back every week!

Indigo is such a vibe! I have been hearing about this place for awhile and was so excited to try with my girlfriends on a weeknight before Thanksgiving! The ambiance is adorable - decked out with Indian decor from Bollywood movie references to Indo-American inspired art. Specifically appreciated the 'Got Punjabi?' poster :)I went with the Chicken Kathi Roll - a delicious masala blend of chicken, onions, and coriander wrapped in a chapati. While it wasn't as spicy as I would have preferred, it was a delicious roll that paired perfectly with a Mango Rupee. The service was quick and very accommodating! Excited to come back to Indigo soon.

Indigo is a Michelin Plate holder and they earn it. All of their dishes make for great comfort food. I am a frequent customer, and it is a spot that I bring all my friends to when they visit town. There is no parking lot, but I can usually find a spot relatively close by on the street. There is a customer bathroom. The seating is entirely outside under a structure (not poden roof) and there are heaters in the winter that suffice just fine. Would highly recommend this local favorite.

Food is tasty and well made. Rice is fluffy! The chickpeas on the side isn't a lot, though. I chose the paradise platter with paneer makhani and baingan bharta. The baingan had a lot more tomatoes in it than I like, but their recipe is enjoyable. Service was quick. Ambiance was fine during the day, but I'm sure it's more lively at night. Only outside seating - no heaters from what I could tell. Good for larger parties, too! The only con is that Indigo has gotten more expensive for what it is, and used to give much larger portions! The $19 vegetarian platter is enough for one person (and leftovers).

I was attending a get-together of old friends and wanted to sit and talk without restrictions and distractions. So, we decided to order takeout at this restaurant. This was my first time trying it, and I'm always excited about trying new Indian cuisine. I am pleased to report that it exceeded my expectations. All the food was packed nicely in each container. We ordered a couple of family-style dishes. We ordered the following: Chicken Tikka Meal, Lamb Curry Meal, Spicy Saag, Channa Masala, Daal Tadka Vegan, Paalak Paneer, extra Rice, Plain Roti, Garlic Roti, Masala Parantha, Veggie Samosa, and washed it down with a Mango Lassi. Okay, this seems like a lot of food for just three people; 1 additional one came later, but it's always better to have more than not enough. The dishes were a perfect balance of spice, with just the right amount of heat where needed. Each dish was seasoned to perfection, leaving me full and satisfied after sampling a bit of everything. It's my understanding that they have a lively outdoor area where you can enjoy live music. I'll have to come back for that. The building also provides good outside shelter when it gets cold with heaters. Whether you're in the area or not (food delivery), please make your way down to this spot for some worthwhile cuisine. You'll thank me. You're welcome...

Fun spot with lots of outdoor seating and a pretty varied menu - I spent almost 30mins reading it! Bit more expensive than I was expecting so I limited myself to the chicken indiroll with a side of okra. The indiroll was very flavorful but not quite what I was expecting so I'd try something else next time. The okra was incredible and I'll definitely be back for that alone if nothing else. You can order by scanning the menu code on the table too which I appreciated since it gave me time to read over everything.

I am so fully obsessed with Indigo. It is my go-to for Indian food in the city, especially when I want to pick up takeout. Their butter chicken is unrivaled, but I really love their Vegetarian Paradise Platter, where you get to pick two veggie mains - I usually go for dal makhani and paneer. The portions are hearty, and I always have leftovers, which reheat so well the next day for lunch! The service is efficient, and they've greatly expanded their seating options at the restaurant itself. I crave their food all the time, and that's the best way to describe it at the end of the day--it's comfort food.

I like the food so much at Indigo that I never noticed the dining area is only outside--there's no "inside" possible.Recently, I was invited to a family celebration here, so, of course, jumped at it.But wait--when arriving--it finally registered with me that our merrymaking would be outside. And it's winter now. I said to myself: "this is gonna be uncomfortable".Well, fear not, Indigo is ready. They've got portable electric heaters placed strategically about the space and customer's orders are brought out hot and steaming.I actually enjoyed myself in the nippy winter weather we're having in the DMV as I stayed pleasantly warm. The heaters carried the evening. The lamb curry is still killer as is the chicken masala. These 2 enduring Indian dishes are consistently prepared the same, and reliable. I always get a big hunk of bread to go along with the combo meal, which is an extra charge. I favor any of the prantha selections however there are others. A large Taj Mahal beer is the perfect complement. The portions are generous, always have leftovers to take home.
