I have no idea if this spot is open during the pandemic but I really hope that they are able to hang in there and stay open. It is run by a sweet Indian Auntie and her family. They also used to run a food truck called Chatpat which would make me happy to no end when they came to the state department during lunch on Virginia Avenue. How amazing was it to get crisp dosas during the workday and eat it at my desk??!! However she said that the food truck wasn't making ends meet and so they stopped running it sadly. But I'm glad to know that they are also nearby in in the food court. Pre-COVID, during the workday this is my go to fix for reasonably priced homemade Indian food. This Auntie and her family hand make all their food and feature different regional specialties and rotate their menu daily. I love that so you're never bored. I have also had intense cravings for dosas and love that I can get these south Indian Staples right here at the Farragut West metro! I love both the traditional masala dosa and also the vegetable dosa. I would love to try the spinach cheese one but have not yet. It will be a bummer to get dressed and go to an office regularly when the pandemic is over but I look to favorites like Indian Delight to get through the workdays!

Quick bite near metro. Mostly vegetarian. Not to special or unique. The prices were high of not market for the area. I would not say avoid but there are a lot of choices in the area.

The address on Yelp is wrong -- they're in the international square food court. (Roughly 19+K). Nice people and I hate to say anything bad about a family starting a business like this but the rice was just bad. Undercooked or stale or something. The dal was great though. Chickpeas were a bit mushy and no great flavor. The bread was fine but more like a soft pita than naan. The whole thing is vegetarian.

Got the daily special Thali a not after noon.Unfortunately the best thing about the meal was the papads for a buck a piece extra. The idli batter never fermented, leaving it dense and gummy without tartness. Could have been saved by the sambar that it was soaking in(coming out of the steamer was a long long time ago), but all you could taste was dal. No drumstick, no curry leaf. At least it wasn't salty.Lemon rice tasted flat. Turmeric provide color, but absent was the brightness of lemon juice, roasted chillies or curry leaf. Boiled peanuts added some texture that otherwise would have come from the fried urad dal - they were mushy and flavorless. The redeeming factor that it was not overly oily or salty (healthy?) was overshadowed by the high price. My experience is that much tastier, fresher and cheaper south Indian fare is available.I should have just stuck with a dosa

Authentic delight! For anyone who goes to the food court, your options are fairly limited to fast-food types. Indian delight is fresh ingredients, cooked by people who have honed an honest craft. Food is delicious. Recommend the special!

I come here often for lunch. They seem to have a loyal following. They only have vegetarian options and some of it can be spicy. They give good portions and I usually get the daily special which a fried spinach and bread. The soups are very good. The service is very nice and patient. They offer different options every day and I enjoy trying the different dishes. The prices are very reasonable.
