We were out in the suburbs and heard about this place. It's situated in an updated strip mall but really has a modern-chic vibe. The restaurant is on the smaller side (cafe-like) and we were seated at the last available table. If you're planning on arriving in a group this is probably not the place. Although, I did see they did there best to manage seating and accommodate larger parties The menu is diverse and has light yet filling offerings. There were definitely many items that wouldn't see at other Indian based restaurants. Also their preparation of many favorites are not run of the mill. I would say the portions are smaller than expected but definitely filling. I also enjoyed that it's not the vibe is not typical of your every day Indian restaurant. Although there is table seating and someone can take your order at the table, you can also order at the counter. Utensils, napkins, and water pitchers are all self serve. However none of it was plastic so it was a fun and convenient way. Feels like this establishment is more of a cafe, but don't let that discourage you from trying it. In fact it's a must try if you're in the area or seeking more of what the Indian diaspora has to offer.

I have gotten takeout from this place twice in the last week. IT'S THAT GOOD. If you're looking for authentic, mouth watering Indian cuisine, look no further than Indaroma. Easy website, nice restaurant (almost cafe like!), and appreciated the tote bag they gave with my to go order (probably marketing, not sure if they will still have them). I got the butter chicken and garlic naan both times, although I tried the spicy version of the butter chicken last night. It's soooo good. I love the spicy of the butter chicken with the cooling rice and the crunch of the naan. Perfect bite every time. I did try the vegetable samosas this time around and they were delicious. They provide two sauce with the samosas (a super spicy green sauce and a sweet brown sauce) but I loved dipping mine in the butter chicken sauce. All around 10/10. Everytime I've come into the restaurant they have been busy so I would recommend coming when you aren't in a rush or order ahead. Thank you for the hospitality IndAroma!

I'll start by prefacing that I'm married at an India man, so I eat Indian food on a regular basis. We ordered Chaat Papdi, Palak Paneer and Paneer Makhani. The Chaat Papdi was okay - in my opinion it had way too much yogurt which over saturated the taste. The Palak Paneer was SO BLAND! Which was very disappointing as it's usually one of my favorite dishes to order at Indian restaurants. Not a hint of garlic or onion flavor in it whatsoever. The Paneer Makhani was actually really good! It was creamy and flavorful and I'd definitely order it again. Also, the Gulab Jamun Cheesecake was delicious and is definitely worth trying! It's unique as I've never had anything like it before, so if you like Gulab Jamun and Cheesecake as two separate things, there's a high possibility that you'll enjoy it fused together.

Stopped in for take-away dinner for the SO and I and noticed they had a banana mouse cake. WHAT??!!! The SO loves bananas so figured it would be a treat. Got home, unpacked my goodies, in a VERY CUTE TAKE-OUT BAG, grabbed a spoon and went straight for the cake. Not sure if it's a cake but it is DAMN GOOD. I never equate fall with bananas but the flavors in this here dessert ARE AMAZING. Light, airy, banana'e, not too sweet and with hints of fall flavors. You have to try it!

A coworker suggested I check this place out. I finally found some time to visit IndAroma and I'm glad I did. I ordered the chicken tikka masala and the tandoori salmon. The chicken tikka masala was flavorful. The chicken was tender and the sauce was not spicy at all.The tandoori salmon was okay but not my favorite.I ordered it based off the images I saw online. Perhaps it looked a little different because my order was a take out order instead of a dine in order. The salmon was cooked fine but based off of looks it the appearance was lacking.Overall I enjoyed my food and look forward to visiting the restaurant again.

What a gem. Second time here only because we forgot about it. Why? Because it's in a nondescript location on Little River Turnpike, between Annandale & Alexandria. It's across the street from the Home Depot in a tiny strip mall that has mostly food shops & several unoccupied spaces. We got there shortly after 9 PM on a Friday and it was packed; all the outside seating was full and inside was pretty full except for a few two-tops. There was also a line to order. You know a restaurant must be good if it's patronized by peoplefrom where the cuisine originated. You place your order at the counter, pay and they bring your food to your table; they give you a table marker that has a number & a city from India on it.The gentleman at the counter was polite but not overly outgoing. He quoted us 30 minutes for our entrees, which was fine because we ordered a couple beers and a Veg Samosa to start but before we had even finished paying, our samosa was ready so we sat down to start with that, which was delicious. The Taj Mahal Indian beer was great and large enough for two so next time I will just share. The decor is hip and relaxing with warm red walls and neat little nuances of India mixed with a modern feel. There is a cool water station with pre-filled bottles and you help yourself to that, glasses, plates and serving utensils. They also have cool music playing in the background that's perfect. You choose your spice level and we ordered ours spicy; both the Lamb Rogan Josh & Chana Marsala were delicious & so flavorful, and the rice was fragrant & complimented the food perfectly. It was also served with a beautiful fresh salad of diced tomatoes, cucumbers and red onions with a house-made dressing on the side. The gentleman that brought us our food & tended our table was nothing but super polite, friendly, attentive and helpful.Everything was simply fantastic so we will definitely be back again and again and again and again. Oh, and they cater so check them out for your events.

I ordered delivery through Uber Eats. The best Indian restaurant I've ordered from and I've been to a lot including in other countries. I got the chana masala and yellow dal made spicy and vegetable samosas. It really helped with opening my nasal passages during a cold. The spices are wonderful. The bag they delivered it in is so cute. I can tell how much they care about presentation which is nice.
