Imperial Wine and Spirits

They won themselves a new customer in me after D hit the recommendations out of the park. Went by last week to ask for recommendations on a wine and a champagne. D led me to one of each that she wholeheartedly endorsed. The price point for each was reasonable (i.e. she didn't foist their most expensive options on me) and both were great choices. The pinot noir she recommended I could just chug; it's that smooth. The shop is small but well-curated, and the advice is impeccable. I look forward to my next excuse to buy some booze.

Very kind and polite man was working behind the counter. I got a can of Canada Dry ginger ale. They also had the largest can of Red Bull I've ever seen!

Some terrific bargains if you care to negotiate with the manager. It's worth driving to DC from Nova because the prices are so much better than the VA ABC stores.

Alcohol buying is never fun. It can be exciting if you are in the mood to try new drinks like wine. But, at the same time, it can be quite intimidating, much like having to climb Mt Everest, on your knees, blindfolded! Trust me, I've been there (not Mt Everest) but having to tackle endless rows of wines or whiskey trying to pick the right one! More often than not, I have come out of the store with either no purchase, or a bad pick, or just the same old stuff! That's where Imperial comes in ! Bobby (or frankly anyone else) are really good at learning about your needs and then suggesting the best option for you. Their recommendations have always worked for me and I have been thankful of their assistance :)They have a good and curated selection of any type of alcohol that you are in the market for and often at the best prices around. Some of their prices have been comparable to Costco!I would definitely recommend them to anyone who is looking to buy some alcohol and wants good recommendation and price!

Where to start. The manager is fantastic. She answered all our questions and we left with a few excellent whiskey store picks. Bourbon? Check. Rye? Check. A wheated bourbon? Check! She offered a sample and as soon as I tasted the rye I knew her suggestions would all be spot on. My only regret is we live 3.5 hours away. If you are in DC and if you are looking for hard-to-find bourbons I can't emphasize this strongly enough. You must go to Imperial Wine and Spirits and ask for Angela.

They have a large selection of allocated whiskies, but their price is 2-3x above retail on many of them. For example, they are charging $75 for a bottle that retails for $23.It is nice that they have the selection but the ridiculous pricing isn't so nice.

Great selection and customer service. Went in to grab a special edition they carried and left with a lasting impression from the very knowledgeable and kind Bobby!

This is our go-to best wine and liquor store! The staff is so nice and there is always a tasting which is fun. High recommend!!
