We've passed here many times and finally decided to try it out tonight, and we're so glad we did. Their outside and menu doesn't quite scream authentic Italian, but their food did! They have homemade pasta options, and you can taste the freshness! We had the Salsiccia E Polpette with fresh tagliatelle which was delicious, and the Caesar salad which was solid. Cute to sit outside, and great service. Nothing super special about the decor or vibes, but certainly would come back for the food.

Visited this recently opened restaurant that replaced Flavor Garden, which replaced Tesoro. The chef used to be the chef at Tesoro. Food is decent; prices are a fraction of Sfoglina's. Had the shrimp diavolo made with fresh fettuccine (the pasta not made in-house), and it was decent. Shrimp were properly cooked, but the skimpy sauce needed more zip. Bread is lacking; they need another supplier. The arugula salad was excellent, and shareable. We were told the tiramisu is made in house, and it was fine. Drinks are quite reasonable. Service is friendly. The chef came out to say hello and to see if we were enjoying our meal. The menu is extensive. We'll return to try the pizza and the other offerings. Hope the place survives. The neighborhood is a restaurant desert and needs more moderately priced venues.

This has quickly become one of our go-to restaurants. We love the fresh pasta in particular, and the thin crust pizza is pretty tasty too. The dishes are as good as the expensive Italian restaurants around town but at a more reasonable price. Service is always friendly. Our typical meal starts with (free) warm toasted bread and seasoned olive oil. My husband often goes with the chicken saltimbocca, while my favorite is the All' Amatriciana. Be sure to order the fresh pasta with it. We've had the pizza a couple of times and it also is very good. While we don't often have room for dessert, I can recommend the cannolis.

Excellent neighborhood Italian place. We came here and got the fresh pasta alla norma and fresh pasta with arabica sauce plus a kids meal of penne and meatballs for my daughter. It was all good and was an excellent price. I would definitely recommend them both but the alla norma was my favorite

This is the best Italian food in the area. It's consistently fresh, delicious, and overall far better than many of the other establishments in NW DC. And, for what it's worth, the owner is top notch. PS I'm surprised the prices aren't higher... that's not a hint to management!

I've lived in Mt. P since 1980. Il supremo is my all time favorite restaurant. Delicious food, fair prices,very friendly service. They will make vegetarian dishes upon request. The owner makes an effort to make everyone feel welcome.
