Ichigo Sushi

This new spot is amazing!! We ordered twice and the quality is pretty good for the price.We really enjoy ordering to-go sushi here :) fish and rice are fresh. Highly recommend if you are looking for a chill takeout sushi near Aldie, this is the place!

this place just rebranded and reopened - the old restaurant was also a sushi shop but with hibachi tables. there is no lunch menu here anymore just FYI.I came here with my friend for lunch on a weekday. it was incredibly slow as we were the only people. our waitress was friendly and prompt. we ordered the ikakarage, roll combo of salmon avocado, kimchi ramen and one order of the masago. they brought out two miso soups for us as included in the price. the miso soup was....very interesting. it was oddly sweet almost & there were tea leaves inside (we believe they were tea leaves, wasn't 100% sure). it did not taste like the miso soup you would typically get at a sushi restaurant. our masago came out and that wasn't bad. the masago wasn't anything out of the ordinary. I may have dropped some masago on my salmon avocado rolls to brighten them up. the ikakarage was so oily and the batter they used was awful. it left this oily film on our tongues and my friend said the only thing redeeming about the dish was the sauce.our entrees came out - his the kimchi ramen & mine the almon avocado. he though his ramen ok, liking the broth a little more than the noodles itself, but did not like the orange peels inside the broth. my salmon avocado was just as it seemed. I wasn't blown away by it & my friend said he felt like it tasted like bananas for some reason.all in all, this is newly renovated restaurant. would I come back? probably not, but I know everyone's taste are different. I'd try this spot as the owners did appear from time to time. they seemed positively trying their best and were very welcoming of their guests.

Refurbished and light palette make this place inviting with new owner! Sushi we ordered like the Red Dragon, Sakura, combo nagiri, and hot sake were decent. Our server was friendly. I'll try other types of rolls next time so definitely will come back...

Came here for date night and loved it! The sushi was delicious and fresh. Our server was sweet and attentive. Highly recommend!

Came by with my husband the other night and we had a wonderful experience. Staff were extremely friendly and accommodating to our needs. We ordered a mixture of everything including ramen, sushi, and hot foods. All were amazing and delicious. Glad we stopped by and will come by again to try more!

Had no idea this had replaced the old Shiro, which we did not love. After our first order, it's a marked improvement. We are picky about our sushi, but will be coming here again.It's not as good as Passion Fin and definitely not Ariake (our favorite), but it's better than everything else I've tried locally. And it's close!All fish was clearly fresh. Salmon and eel avocado were quite good. Spicy tuna was good enough to order again. Tuna was not my favorite, but it rarely is.Started with those basics. Will branch out in the future. Glad they are here, and they are worth a shot for everyone!

Sashimi sushi platers were well presented and delicious. Ramen and udon were also delicious. Service was very friendly

Great food. My kids and husband usually get sushi carry out. My family were hangry tonight. We dined in; the service was quick & friendly. The lady who cooked my seafood ramen (assuming she's the owner) is very sweet. Casual setting. Definitely will keep returning.

Highly reccommend visiting this restaurant. The fish was super fresh and the sushi was incredible. I have never been a big fan of miso soup, but the miso here was the best I have ever had. The staff were wonderful and the presentation was fantastic. I drank from an adorable cat mug and ate sushi off a wooden boat; what is better than that?

Ambience:The decor of this restaurant feels like a typical Chinese takeout spot, white square tile flooring with flourecent lighting, with the cashier smacked next to the area that looked like Chinese buffet (but have repurposed for the chef to prepare sushi)Food & Service:Food is good with friendly service, on par with other Japanese restaurants but nothing stands out. The location and the ambience threw me off the expectations as the menu is priced for a more established sushi restaurant, which I don't consider this place being one.
