This establishment has been growing on me. Solid and consistent in availability, price/value, and order readiness. While not the most flavorful you can find within a mile or two radius of the Capitol Hill area, it does hit the spot routinely with multiple repeat pick up and order deliveries. Favorite dish is the sweet and sour pork. They keep the sauce separate from the breaded pork. Always a plus in my book.

Very good peking duck and delicious, authentic Typhoon Shelter head-on and shell-on prawns (like salt and pepper prawn but on the next level, see my photo). Nice decor (giant vases upon walking in on the second floor). Unassuming entrance downstairs (don't be fooled by the appearance initially).Ordered on UberEats again for self pick up; food was ready relatively fast and well packaged again (big spacious round boxes rather than cramped cheap containers). Cucumber salad is spicy; beware of red chili (you can pick them out before eating the cucumber).

We came in for lunch after doing a tour at the Capitol Building. It wasn't busy, but as a group of 9, we had made a reservation just in case.We got hot tea to start. Tasted like a mixture of green and black tea. So good! For appetizers, we got veg spring rolls, some kind of fritter, crab Rangoon. The Rangoon was okay...didn't taste the best. I didn't get tired trying the spring rolls but the fritters (not sure what it was exactly) were delicious! I'd come back just for that! For entrees, we shared a bunch of things: sesame chicken and the tofu version, walnut shrimp, veg lo mein, stir fried pork belly, stir fried eggplant. I really like the lo mein and the sesame tofu. Delicious! The portion sizes were large. They were chunky pieces too. We were only able to finish one of the sesame chicken dishes and the lo mein. Overall, it's just Americanized Chinese food. Nothing special about it, but they have a lot of photos with legislators that have visited the restaurant so that's what the hype is about. Also, it's right across the street from the Capitol and library of congress so it's definitely an option for lunch around here.

Maybe time to rethink ordering from Uber Eats. My food order totalled around $60 and after taxes/fees/tip it was over $90. The only thing I can adjust is the tip and that doesn't seem fair to the driver. I'll be choosing a local delivery service or walking out my door from now on. Convenience isn't worth a 30% markup.

Always solid Chinese American food at good prices. One of the few places in that part of DC that survived the pandemic. Service is always attentive and helpful. Not upscale, but it does have private rooms for large groups, which is rare on The Hill.

Food: Fried Rice - Good! Chicken is all white! Teriyaki Chicken - I'm not a fan, the chicken tasted weird to me. Super chewy. Not sure why.Establishment is cute! Take a look at my picture. Staff: SUPER Nice! Price: Moderate not cheap. These are not carry out prices. Overall, would return!

Quick, delicious and consistent. You always know what you're getting and it's well worth the price for a quick meal. Never had a service issue and always get takeout so not sure about the vibe, but the food is good!

Looking for some Chinese food near my hotel. Only two stops away. I would have to say for the price you don't get a large amount, but the food is tasty. Ordered Mongolian beef, not heat though. I have ate at many places and Mongolian is always spicy, not here. Bummer!Place is clean and has piano music playing. The lanterns are hanging from ceiling. Sorry to say sitting here they do treat non Asians differently. They might not even know that they are. Automatically bring chopsticks if Asian, I had to ask twice before I got some. Portion is larger if Asian. Hmm... Most people would not notice but I do notice things like that. While the food is good I won't be back because of how they treat differently. Very slow to bring the check, there is 10 customers tops and they are slow.Lady never came around to refill my drink.
