You pay with what you get, good for what it is and the price. Good for the classic fried rice and chicken broccoli.

I hate how restaurants have started charging delivery fees when they never used to and they just pocket the fee instead of giving it to the drivers. They should either pass those fees to the drivers or pay the drivers enough to not need tips if they're already charging delivery fees for their service. It'd be like restaurants charging "table service" fees that the restaurant pockets but then still expects you to pay additional tips to the waiter after already making you pay a newly invented "table service fee". Anyway, this is one of those places that charges delivery fees. Fine...delivery fee or tip, one or the other. Delivery fee it is, here. But then, the driver arrives about an hour after placing the order and demands an additional tip be added on top of the delivery fee. I'd already said no to an additional tip when putting in the order on their website and now the driver is standing in my doorway refusing to hand me my food until I write in an additional tip for her. I sit there and explain that I already paid the delivery fee on top of the food total and she says no, that's for the restaurant. She continues to hold on to the food with one hand while her other hand is holding the receipt with her finger pointing at the tip spot, telling me I need to add an additional amount there too. Even though I told her no and signed it already, she hands the signed receipt back to me and holds my food hostage, giving me step by step instructions first to cross out my total and write in a new tip amount and new total, after which she finally hands over my food to me after I comply. Even at places where the tips are not on top of an existing delivery fee, last I heard they're optional and based on quality of service rendered...not here! After paying for your food and for a delivery fee, expect an additional high pressure tip "request" from your restaurant's driver before getting your food (not a DoorDash or UberEats driver either, this is a driver from the restaurant). This is the last time I'm ordering delivery from this place!

This place is my go to Chinese food.. usually good fried of goodness. Fried chicken wings are huge great tasting and worth it. The fried rice beef pork or shrimp is tasty. The one star is a HUGE FAILURE on a basic Chinese or really Japanese fried shrimp instead of a the usual tempura batter it was a cornbread thick as Hella. I don't mind the shrimp being small I get it.. cost etc. but why cover the small shrimp in bread? Just call it bread shrimp

My review does not include dine-in, but rather, only speaks to my dinner delivery tonight.Very pleasant lady took my order, speaking it back to confirm the correct items. I like that; it shows appreciation. My order was to take 30-minutes...it arrived in 30-minutes, and it arrived complete and oven hot. I also appreciate that...!!!To be honest...I ordered way too much food. The portions that arrived were huge. At home this would be okay, and enjoyed tomorrow for lunch. Unfortunately, I couldn't eat it all, and while I have a small fridge in my hotel room...this is a hotel...I travel tomorrow and can't take it with me...so I become a bit wasteful...sorry.The hot & sour soup was okay, not great, but was good. The Asparagus combo was really "huge"...but quite tasty. It had many more different veggies than I was expecting. This also was a really good and enjoyable dish. The Pork Egg Foo Young was exactly what my mind was wanting, and my taste buds were extremely grateful. What can I say to management...offering any opportunities for improvement? Not a darn thing...you nailed this meal perfectly. What a real enjoyable dinner. Give em' a try, I suspect you will be greatly surprised...!

A quick bite was a pleasant surprise!Kung Pao chicken was exceptionally unique because it had lot's of small, thin and crispy slices of deep fried chicken rather than the usual chunks of dark meat.My neighboring table had a big beautiful and perfect example of Chicken and Broccoli.Good portions and well priced.I'm going back! This is not a dine in place...It's hopefully THE PLACE for TAKE OUT in Sterling.

Delivery time was slightly under half an hour this go. I'd already packed leftovers from dinner and was preparing for a wine dinner, so I opted for fried wonton. My coworkers sprung for pepper steak, eggrolls, and egg drop soup. They pinch their wonton like tortellini, creating an attractive but difficult to eat wonton. Their dough runs thick, so you kinda have to nibble off the tips, then eat the rest in two bites for chewing room. Any other attempt would result in an abused esophagus.*cough*Should've tried the soup. Oh well.Eggrolls with mustard were actually pretty good, but the sesame chicken was average and their plain fried rice in their combo deals was soggy from having used a fresh batch of rice. Dried like it was undercooked. Szechuan beef also failed to wow. Crab rangoon was heavy on cream cheese but still a saving grace. Crispy beef and bbq spare ribs may be the only acceptable things to opt for.

I ordered sesame chicken. Sesame chicken is made with white meat. The white meat was not chicken breast but tuff grizzly chucks of what appeared to be wing meat. I ultimately ended up throwing the meal way. It was inedible. Never again will I order from this restaurant.

My problem isn't the food, it's the fact that the website is so poorly maintained and has zero security. It shows Paypal as an option but can't be selected. I love their food, but never EVER enter your bank card number on their online order website. It took awhile to make the connection but my card had to be replaced 5 times in the past year and the one thing in common was that we ordered online from Hunan Cafe 2-3 days before unauthorized charges showed up. The domain is something called Passionflower? If they took the time to update their website and maintain it they'd have a business boost. But remember: Cash only or pay in person because their website is NOT SAFE!

Ordered food to be delivered. The pork fried rice has no flavor at all. Ordered without peas and the container was full of peas. The boneless spareribs were extremely dry and not edible. I ended up throwing the entire order in the dumpster.

I ordered takeout dinner with Hunan Cafe at Sterling tonight. Their food are fresh and great quality and good portions. I especially favor their Mapo Tofu and it is absolutely phenomenal tasty. The curry chicken is tender and the veggies are crispy, its taste is unique. The four dishes are only less than $30, good taste, good quality, good service and good price. The lady serves the customers is very friendly with a big smile on her face. I will definitely come back again and I highly recommend this restaurant.
