Fried noodles for soup. You can make them by slicing wonton wrappers into strips and deep-frying them. A fast but pricey method.

I'm not sure what happened to this place. Use to go a few times a year before the pandemic and had no problem. Thought we'd visit again recently and some of the dishes were just off. Ordered the Crispy Beef and after chewing and chewing, I ended up probably only actually ingested 1 out of the 3 or 4 bites I took. I kept thinking another piece may be better but nope. I don't think I ever *discretely* spat out so much of my meal before. There was as nothing crispy about that beef. It was also extremely sweet. The wait staff is still very attentive and the place still looks tidy.

Once one of our go-to neighborhood chinese spots, house of dynasty flavor has shifted to being overly salty. In the past two times I have visited, I ordered kung pao chicken and beef and broccoli. Both sauces were so salty, I could not finish the plate. It is a neighborhood spot where alot of locals like to go for a casual meal or to indulge in the lunch special (soup, egg roll, plus entree of choice with rice).Service is always good!

House of Dynasty is a solid spot for good-quality Chinese food at a fair price. I usually get the General Tao, shrimp fried rice, and lo mein, and they never disappoint. The General Tao, in particular, is really good--crispy, flavorful, and just the right amount of spice. Overall, the food is consistently fresh, the portions are generous, and it's a go-to when I'm craving takeout.

If you are new to the area or looking for a new go to Chinese restaurant- look no further! This is it! It's so good! Take out or in restaurant dinning is great. The place is clean(dated) but clean, the food is delicious; not overcooked or soaking wet in oil and the vegetables are fresh.

This place is still alive and kicking! This is the type of place where patrons have been going to forever and the staff knows all the regulars. My family has made House of Dynasty our new Lunar New Year tradition due to their ability to host large parties on a whim. The kiddos love their virgin pina coladas and chicken fried rice while the adults feast on platters of peking duck, pan fried noodles, crispy beef, shrimp in lobster sauce, and oh-so-much-more.A few things to note: - Peking duck is not spectacular but it definitely scratches the itch! - There are tons of mirrors all over the place which is basically free entertainment for little children.- They got rid of their whole fried rockfish which is a disappointment because that was definitely one of the best things on the menu.Overall this is a great spot for old-school Americanized Chinese food with a family-friendly and celebratory vibe.

House of Dynasty was on my list to try for a while now and it did not disappoint. We went around 4pm after. When we enter we were the only people in the restaurant but that changed quickly and I now see why.The food was very good. Everything we had was flavorful. We ordered the pan fried dumplings, egg rolls, hunan chicken, sweet and sour chicken, wonton soup, and hot and sour soup. Everything was delicious. The staff was friendly and attentive. The server who took care of us was knowledgeable about the menu and was engaging with my 6 year old who loves to talk (bonus points for that). We had a good experience overall and cannot wait to return in the future.

Dynasty is our favorite Chinese restaurant in Alexandria. Though, as others have mentioned, prices have escalated substantially over the past 2-3 years. My favorite dishes are the chicken corn soup (served with a hefty amount of those little crispy crackers on the side), moo-shu pork and the egg rolls. The wonton soup is tasty too.We also like the lunch specials that have generous portions.A cozy and comfortable ambiance, with plenty of tables.Service is usually top-notch and attentive. Though, the next to last time we were there, our male server showed a bit of attitude and seemed more interested in sitting at a table across the restaurant chit-chatting with the people at that table. I consider that a one-off experience though, not typical of the usual Dynasty dining experience. One feature we really liked seems to have been discontinued, and that was the restaurant offering you a tiny cup of sherbet between the appetizers and the main course, perhaps to cleanse our palates.Still, we really like Dynasty and will be coming back again and again.

house of dynasty is, by far, the best chinese restaurant in the area. as a spoiled new york transplant, it has been difficult for me to find a chinese restaurant that would satisfy all the great memories i have of the wonderful spices and dishes to which i am accustomed. prolem solved when i happened to find this gem. the decor is soft and charming, the service impeccable and the food to die for. make this place your number one choice for a meal you won't forget!

It's been a long time since I've been here. I've been coming here since 198....Anyway we we seated and our order taken. The waitress was very pleasant and efficient. All the food was good except the egg rolls was on the greasy side. I took off a point because they still have the same '80s decor. Food was otherwise good.
