Ho's Chinese Carryout

Sorry, but I must pass on this one. I've been on the hunt for New york style Chinese food, and this didn't hit the mark. I ordered chicken and broccoli with egg rolls. You can taste a lot of fish sauce in the chicken and Broccoli...not a fan. Also, the egg rolls were not good. Mushy inside and no flavor. I'm looking for that pork inside, and I saw nothing.Better luck next time.

Didn't include any utensils or napkins in the order. Very unprofessional. No good way to contact them because we used Uber Eats. Frustrating.

Food ok service sucks. My order was ready. I walked up to the counter this was holding the order up in the. I thought he was waiting to hand it to me. As fast as I got to the counter. He dropped it. He's in a rush to help the blue eyed blonde. You know the bow down too needless to say I'm never going back

Honestly a solid Chinese takeout place, not too bad but also not spectacular. I got the general Tso's combo and the egg roll was not the best but the chicken fried rice was not bad. The chicken itself was decent and not too breaded which I like. Not the worst place to grab Chinese takeout.

THIS WHAT HAPPENED. I ordered wonton soup, egg rolls, and combo fried rice. I got home ate one egg roll.. it was good. Had a little wonton soup.. it was too heavy on the thick wonton wrapper .. so I ate only one.. (it wasn't a deal breaker)... my PROBLEMwas the FRIED RICE. The RICE was undercooked. .. straight up crunchy on the inside. Sooo-- I called. I told them. I was told -- my manager will call you back. 30 mins later-- NO CALL BACK. So OK. I called back -- to someone telling me -- the manager will call you back. ... I live 8 mins away -- so I'm p'd off now... I pack it all up to take it back. I get there and they don't listen to me. I DON'T say the quiet part out loud... HOW CAN THIS TYPE OF RESTAURANT UNDERCOOK RICE!!! RICE!!... rice.... So, I just asked for a refund. They offered me $3 back from my $20 order. Because I ate an egg roll and had crunched my way through 1/3 of a cup of undercooked rice. Oh .. and I ate one wonton of 3. Are you kidding me? I'm not gonna tell you what I had to say at that point because I'm already repenting for it. -- I got most of my money back. $15 of it. This is the thing. I am a restaurant person. Mistakes happen.. I get it more than most... but, all of this couldHave been avoided -- IF their --tee customer service and interaction were better. If you say you're gonna call me back-- call me back. Not tell me you'll call me back again after I've already waited 30mins. AND once I get there-- you look at me like I'm trying to get over on you when I'm telling you YOUR RICE IS UNDERCOOKED!... a simple call back... and a promise to take care of me next time would have avoided the ugly confrontation & review. Don't waste your money there. They don't get it. REALLY, everything she said in Chinese to the cashier... it mad rMe feel uncomfortable and the offer of $3 back on a busted ass meal (that I'd eaten less than 10%) was an insult. NEVER AGAIN. Don't go there.

Ho's is my absolute favorite neighborhood Chinese takeaway spot. They are like a trusted old friend that rarely lets you down. Whenever I don't feel like cooking, Hos is my go to! Their prices are low and their food is tasty. I have several go-to dishes including shrimp lo mein, chicken with mixed veggies, orange chicken, egg rolls, fried chicken wings, wonton soup and more. This is typical Chinese-American comfort food that is fast and simple. I consider this a neighborhood gem and will continue being a happy customer!

I order quite frequently from Ho's and have had a few problems like missing items from the order which they took care of the problem. On this occasion I ordered and when the food was delivered it was completely unacceptable. The vegetables were not throughly cooked, the eggrolls were burnt and I can't describe how terribly overcooked the fried wonton were. I called the restaurant and asked for a review which they agreed to but said they would come back to pick up the food. I have no problem with that so I threw the slop back into the bag for them to pickup. To bad they can't deliver the food as fast as they can come back to pick it up.

We ordered delivery and the food was delicious. Huge portions, too, so plenty of leftovers. I highly recommend the scallops and shrimp.

Put an order in for pickup. Thought I could trust this place since i got food delivered prior to my building and food was great. This time i put an order for pickup around 8:30pm. I got there and made sure my drink was included and I even bought an extra lemonade....once I got home my girlfriend notified me her fried chicken and fries had a single moving/alive/thriving MAGGOT IN IT!!! My sesame chicken smelled funky like socks. Only recommending this place to my enemies if I need them gone. $37 and a maggot down the drain

Seems like Google is censoring any semblance of honest review must becoming more like China ironically so I've come to yelp. The food is poor as is the service becoming common in these types of establishments they really take on the personality of the physical dump they operate out of try to give small business a chance but one and done for this one
