Hibachi Express Japanse Grill

I had about an hr and met a friend for a quick lunch. Yelp reviews here were better than other nearby options and neither of us had eaten here. I ordered the bento box w salmon and shrimp. The salmon which was the majority of the protein was very overcooked and dry (think wood). Cooked from frozen? Inedible really. I didn't eat much of any of it. My friend ordered the same w tofu and said it was "fine." I do not recommend the salmon here. Maybe I just ordered the wrong thing.

Fantastic little place - friendly service every time and the freshest sushi you'll come across this side of Kyoto. Very reasonably priced too. Highly recommend!

Once I saw the Yelp sign at the entrance of the restaurant, I knew I had stumbled across and gem and would feel right at home!I ordered takeaway and was impressed with the food at the Hibachi Express Japanese Grill. Everything from the convenient screen when placing the order (which really helped make sure everything was captured correctly), right through to the clean and open kitchen, made it a great experience.There was no long wait, the food was prepared after I ordered and it felt it was good value for money.

If you are looking for a truley authenic Japanese dining experiences, you might want to walk on by. However, if you want decent, cheap Asian food, that is a level above your standard Chinese takeout spot, then this is your spot. Hibachi Express has a pretty extensive menu full of hibachi combos. In addition to these combos, the restaurant has some traditional and speciality rolls, poke bowls, and various appetizers. For my visits, I typically go with one of the bento box combos. The bento boxes come with a choice of hibachi (normally I go with beef & shrimp), a California roll (4 pieces), chicken dumplings (2 pieces), spring rolls (2 pieces) and mixed vegetables, rice or noodles. In my opinion, these bento boxes are a great deal (around 12-13 bucks) for the amount of food you'll receive. The service is pretty fast, although it might be a little bit of a wait (around 10 minutes) if you visit during the dinner rush or the weekend. I would not say the wait time is a bad thing because the food is made to order. For instance, the mixed vegetables are crunchy unlike some places where the veggies have been sitting in oil/grease for so long that they are soggy and no longer taste like vegetables. While most folks tend to grab their food and go, the restaurant has a decent amount of space if you choose to dine in. The ambiance leaves a bit to desired, but it's leap and bounds above your typical "American" Chinese take out spots (You know, like those places that have 2-3 small wobbly tables). I've been here at least 10 times, and I have yet to have a bad experience.

I stumbled across Hibachi Express Japanese Grill after leaving the carwash I frequent and had a taste for something cheap and tasty and this hit the spot! I got their Chicken Bento Box and it did not disappoint! My bento box came with teriyaki chicken, mixed vegetables and noodles, 2 fried chicken dumplings, 4 pieces of a California roll (I omitted the imitation crab) and 2 spring rolls. There's a $0.65 up charge for veggies AND noodles but even with that, my meal still only came to a little over $12 after tax so the value is great given all of the food you get. Each item was hot and delicious. It was lunchtime when I went to pickup and they were busy so I suggest ordering online to reduce wait time. The space is small so it gets a little cramped with everyone standing around waiting for orders but they were moving pretty fast. Parking can also be an issue due to many business sharing the same lot. I had to park at the gas station and walk over but it's not far and it wasn't too much of an inconvenience. Overall, this is a great lunch/dinner option with great tasting food, portions and great prices!

I'm shameless to say that I come here 3x a week and they already know my order. That's a testament to how much I love their food. For $14, I get double the chicken, brown rice, mixed veggies, and a drink. You can't beat that price around this area. Food is made to order, and their veggies are fresh with a nice crunch. I love that their veggies are fresh and not doused in teriyaki sauce and wilty. I do love me some veggies! The teriyaki sauce is not overpowering and not too sweet. They will ask you at the end if you want extra sauce, sesame seeds, and green onions. Get all of them! You'll thank me for it. It just takes the dish to another level. It is your typical teriyaki hibachi place done right. Service is also another reason why I come back over and over. They always greet you with a smile and thank me before I leave. It does have that neighborhood-ly feeling. They don't rush you at all. For someone like me who gets sick of eating the same thing every single day, I've come here 3x a week for almost a year now. Should be a good enough reason for you to try this place.

So you can either order online or order in person.If you are in the mood for some fresh hibachi grilled food, this is the place to be. It's been ages since I visited this type of food establishment. Reminds me of the old times when you can fresh marinated chicken off the grill.The food here is made to order and you can see how your food is prepared in the kitchen grill. Highly recommend trying their chicken, shrimp and beef entrees. Be sure to ask for extra sauce. Their proteins are marinated in a delicious sauce. Their veggies are fresh and does have a little bit of a crunch if you like it that day. Their noodles are nice and sauce and their rice is good too. Their portions are good and are reasonably priced. The staff here are super friendly and they also serve sushi here. I didn't get a chance to try their sushi, but I'll definitely try it next time.If you are in the mood for fresh hibachi food, this place is worth checking out. Come hungry and you will be satisfied.

I wanted to like it because it's so close by but was not a fan. The food was just so-so, nothing I'd want to order again and we tried a variety of dishes. The service was very good. We ate in but it's not a very cozy atmosphere. Most people were doing takeout. Go and form your own opinion though bc a lot of people seemed to really like it and were repeat customers

Even before I tasted the food I would probably have given the Hibachi Express five stars based on the friendly greeting from the staff and the clean, neat appearance of the place. It's located in a strip shopping center with plenty of convenient parking. In the front of the grill are some raised counters and stools. Past that is the counter where you order and the drink and condiment station. In the back are some booths. The kitchen is open behind a clear partition so you can see the chefs and assistants cooking and plating your food.We ordered a chicken hibachi platter with rice and vegetables, a salmon bento box and an order of sushi, all for carryout. The bento box is the way to go! It includes your protein, choice of rice or noodles, mixed vegetables, 4 pieces of California Roll, 2 chicken dumplings, and 2 spring rolls. Everything was fresh and delicious. We had so much food we made two meals out of it. I must say I would probably do a side order of dumplings next time they were so good! And when I say next time, I know there will be many more visits to this restaurant.
