Amazing. Service and food. Samosas were so good. We had the goat. The potatoes filled bread was delicious! I had the best masala (with okra) and it is my new favorite dish! Hubs had goat vindaloo and loved it. Just a great experience and my new favorite Indian restaurant.

My friend and I stopped by Heritage India while we were in Cathedral Heights and had a good experience in some ways!The highlight of the night was the outstanding bread pudding. WOW! How did they pack so much flavor into that? I absolutely loved it. Maybe my favorite dessert in DC?The rest of the experience left us wanting. The chicken Tikka and sag paneer were both fine but imbalanced flavor-wise. The samosa appetizer was too small for the price and not quite crispy or savory enough. And the rice was NOT basmati or jasmine rice; rather, it tasted like cheap minute rice. That was a letdown.Service was very prompt! It seemed like they wanted us out as soon as we sat down at 7:30pm on a Friday.

After church on Sunday I stopped in to Heritage India for their bottomless lunch menu and bottomless mimosas. The price was right and the quality excellent.We were greeted immediately and shown to a table where the menu/process was explained. Basically you can order 5 items off the menu and eat them family style for the maximum flavor palette. Then repeat with the same or try more items next. Basically they keep feeding you until you say stop! The bottomless mimosa (or Bloody Mary) was $16, a great value for DC and very tasty. I recommend the Sunday brunch here as delicious and economical. You will be satisfied!

Yummy, I really enjoyed dinner here. The atmosphere is nice too, there were quite a few people dining and it was pretty lively and light. Felt nice. Samosas were great, served wit tamarind chutney & a yogurt sauce. I really liked it, however I'm not sure the chutney is homemade and I think it would have been amazing if they made their own. Bhartha (smoked eggplant) entree was outstanding. I would order it again. Curry shrimp was excellent as well. Everything had great flavor with some heat but not too much. The naan was awesome too. Tried the potato naan & the walnut/date. Both were so good & just fun to try something a little different. Mango lassi was good but again I'm not sure if homemade, still good tho. Great service, hardly any wait. Def rec.

They don't do Groupon anymore but had it out there to buy .That's cheating . Neither did they issue a refund nor does Groupon .

Over price and food does not taste like Indian culture food. Food portion comes in small portions at the price they charge. The lady/owner who seats and greet you never have a smile or welcome gestures. Would not recommend this place.

The service and food were fine, but then they wouldn't honor my fully valid Groupon. The owner closed the account, which left me to pay for $50 more than I had anticipated. They told me "Tough s*#%" and to pay up, basically dumping their problem on me. Not going back especially since has plenty of good Indian restaurants in this town.

The service was quick and attentive but nothing over the top. The food was fine (i got the vindaloo) but I believe it's a little over priced considering the portion sizes were a little small. It's a fine place, nothing particularly special.
