Wow. Just wow. Every dish we had was amazing. This is one of the first restaurants we have been to in a while that had a really cool vibe, great service, drinks, and every dish exceeded our expectations. To start, we ordered the baked shrimp which comes with a tomato lemon beurre blanc and Parmesan crumbs. The sauce was so good!We ordered 3 main dishes:Sea bass: comes with ginger carrot puree, garlic spinach, and fresh tomatoes. So good and the fish was cooked perfectlyMushroom ravioli: comes with three ravioli, mushrooms, and a porcini broth. Yum! A little messy to eat, but really good.Peppered ahi tuna with cabbage, red wine jus and potato pave. The potato pave were delicious little pillows of goodness. The ahi was perfectly seared and phenomenal with the red wine jus and cabbage.

Amazing. Best restaurant we've been to in the DMV area since moving here about 2 years ago.Atmosphere very much fit the speakeasy vibe. Dim lighting with cozy booths. Great place for a date night. Every dish we tried was delicious. We ate every bite and had no leftovers. The stars of the show were the Blue Bay Mussels and the Red Wine Braised Short Rib. Cocktails were also great. Highly recommend the Heirloom and the Bees Knees.

SUCH a cool experience. I've never been to a speakeasy before! The food here was to dieeeee for. I was pleasantly satisfied with everything I ordered! The service was great too. I sat at the bar and the bartenders were all personable and open to giving any suggestions or answering any questions the other person in my party had. They gave wonderful recommendations for drinks! The ambiance of the restaurant is very moody. It was dark, but I liked it. After all, it is a speakeasy. For a speakeasy that's on the pricey side, I definitely think it is worth it.

Dark speakeasy-esk restaurant tucked away behind a door in Open Road Distillery. Both table and bar seatingComprehensive menu of both food & drinks at a high price tagI came here for dinner with my GF and we each got a cocktail, split a ceasar salad app, and I got a burger (for a whopping $32) while she got a bolognese dishEverything was fantastic. My only regrets are that I'd more closely read that the Caesar salad had anchovies and that we had more room for dessert

Very cute speakeasy that is in a separate room of Open Road Grill. Nice comfy bar seats and open. Not as dark as most speakeasy. Tried the apple crostini and it was amazing no. I didn't take a picture, I ate it too fast. If I was in the area in the future I would definitely stop by again.

Shhh--it's a secret! No, those aren't patrons who have had one too many at Open Road Distillery opening the wrong door to the bathroom. It's a speakeasy serving a small upscale food menu and cocktails from the same distillery! We have been there twice now and haven't been let down with ANY of their carefully crafted cocktails (try the Take Out for a fun surprise) or delicious food. We enjoyed the sea bass and the gnocchi (just perfectly puffy.)

Tucked away and literally a "hidden" gem - this speakeasy has a unique atmosphere and outstanding cocktails. The menu offers a variety of drinks and food to choose from. This review is just for drinks however, as we did not dine here. I chose to order an espresso martini after verifying that they do make them with real espresso. With espresso martinis being all the buzz (badum tss) lately, I've found a lot of places skimp and use cold brew or something else to give the "espresso" flavor, which always disappoints me. This place was the real deal. I ordered... let's just say more than one espresso martini because they were so good. The glasses they were served in were beautiful too. I think the only complaint I had was about how hot it was inside.. the heat was blasting for some reason. Anywho, friendly service, cool vibe, great drinks - what more could you want?

Came here after someone I knew had recommended it. The restaurant is behind two black doors that resemble a storage unit but walking through those doors you're led a room with a door with a rose knob and several picture frames hung on the walls. Walking in, I was surprised how small the interior was but not surprising as it is a speakeasy. We were seated in a back booth and our waiter was great. Super attentive and super easy to chat to.The food was good. I really do recommend getting the focaccia bread, the baked shrimp is just a shrimp scampi sauce (wouldn't recommend it), the short rib was super tender and we swapped out the asparagus for mushrooms, and the scallop risotto was just okay to me (taste is subjective). It was my friend's birthday so they wrote happy birthday on the creme brulee plate which was a super cute touch.Overall, it's a date night place, super dim lighting, good vibes, dress up and have a good night!

We had the pleasure of retuning to Heirloom for my birthday/early Valentine's. Excited to try the new Happy Hour menu featuring $10 cocktails and bites. Our server Maggie was vibrant and friendly. We got one of each HH dish-ALL so satisfying, and HH drinks-all masterfully created. The Mixologists here are on another level. Afterwards we had room for complementary tiramisu! Can't wait to bring friends back for this elevated and romantic HH and dinner.

I made reservations for my husband's birthday at this restaurant and it did not disappoint. It was the first time for both of us dining at Heirloom. There is a parking garage that's connected to the restaurant and there's free parking after 5pm in the garage - that's a plus! We had a bit of a hard time finding the entrance of this place and had to ask the host where the 'secret entrance' was at. After finding the entrance, the ambiance of the restaurant is dark and moody. It's definitely a great spot for celebrations. We ordered several dishes to try:-House made herb focaccia .... 5/5-Pan roasted sea scallops .... 5/5-Red wine braised short rib .... 5/5-Apple tarte tatin .... 5/5Everything we tried was really good. I would definitely come back and try some of the other dishes. The menu definitely had some great options to pick from. I definitely would recommend this spot!
