Hangry Joe’s Hot Chicken - Van Dorn

Stopped here for lunch before heading to an event. The food is 5 Stars! The ordering system is 1 Star. Customer service, 2 stars.Walked in and the gentleman at the counter disappeared. I started to order on the kiosk machine and had all types of errors. A man from the back slides a tray of food out of a window but never comes out. Food sat there for about 5-10 mins while the guy is sitting at his table waiting. I ask for help several times and finally a guy comes running out from the back. He's able to fix my first kiosk problem. I continue ordering on this system and run into another problem. Once again the guys is in the back. I plead for help again and he comes running out. This time he is unable to help me on the kiosk. Now he rings my order up in the register system. Mind you, There is only one other patron in the store and he was waiting on his food. I am not sure why no one could take my order in the first place. This took about 10 minutes for what should have been two.I ended up ordering the Chicken wrap which is huge, delicous, comes with plenty of kick and was down right GOOD!I also order 6 wings and fries. Fresh, hot and delicious. Plenty of kick and I asked for "medium" so be aware when you order. Fries fresh and crispy.My wife ordered the loaded fries and the amount of chicken that comes with this is crazy. Great buy for the price. My daughter ordered the chicken strips. Large in size which is a huge plus. She wasn't able to finish them I definitely plan on trying another location by this one needs a little work.

Tried Hangry Joe's today and the food was terrific. I ordered the medium dry wings and spicy soy garlic wings. The wings are quite large, juicy and cooked to perfection. The medium dry rub was seasoned perfectly and the Spicy soy garlic was spot on. The waffle fries are solid as welland it was well worth the $18 I spent. I'll definitely be going back again! This might just be my new go-to wings place!

Hangry Joes quickly came to be my favorite chicken sandwich chain when they started opening up. I still go once a quarter. I've been to this location at least three times. The taste of the sandwich has always been consistent for me. I really like the slaw and the pickles. The bun and the fried chicken compliments well with the crunchy, sweet and tangy flavor of the slaw and pickle. They have varying levels of spice from no spice to angry spice in which you need to sign a waiver so the restaurant is not held accountable. However, the cleanliness of this place has gotten worse over time. The bathroom is not clean at all. The tabletops have crumbs and pieces of food and grime from previous guests. The service is pretty much through the kiosk and the worker just calls out your order number when it is ready. Also, when ordering online for pickup, I noticed they had a $3 up charge compared to the in store price. It was $13.98 online and $10.95 in store. I quickly noticed this and stopped my mobile order. I just ordered in person. The online order says no service charge but I don't know why that $3 extra charge is there. I felt pretty suspicious about that. I still find the food to be good, but considering the lack of cleanliness and this scammy behavior makes me not want to come back. I can't imagine how clean they keep conditions in the kitchen. If we all knew, I think more people would opt not to eat out.

About a 1-1.5: I hate to do this to you, Hangry Joe's, but our past few orders has just not been the same.As other locations, the menu offers Nashville Hot chicken sandwiches, tenders, nuggets, the chicken & waffle combo, and offers even combo specials and smoothies.For the spicy level, you can opt from: No Seasoning, No Heat, Mild, Medium, Hot, and Angry Hot - the Angry Hot requires a waiver! Recently, we had ordered:+Loaded Fries - seasoned waffle fries topped with chopped chicken breast, jalapeno slices, and shredded cheddar cheese with Hangry sauce; went for the No Heat level - unfortunately, the waffle fries were super soggy, and they didn't seem to have been freshly fried, as they were chewy and stale, as well; I remember them using more of bite-sized chunks of chicken before, but they seem to have switched it up or it was inaccurately prepared with sliced chicken, which seemed like it was reserved for sandwiches instead; the chicken was also lukewarm and didn't taste fresh; there was also a lack of sauce, too+the Leg & Thigh Bone-In - served with white bread and cider slaw; went for the No Seasoning level; the hubs enjoyed this, as these were crispyThe food definitely seemed to not have been made-to-order, but prepared with leftover food, or food that has been just pre-cooked, ready to be used before the eatery closed.Online ordering is available, and they send you text to confirm and when your order is ready to be picked up, which is super convenient.Unfortunately, not sure if I'd be returning to location again, or to a Hangry Joe's for a while in general.Plenty of parking in the Van Dorn Plaza lot.+inconsistent quality of items+chicken was lukewarm and not fresh+soggy, dry, chewy precooked waffle fries+online ordering available +located in the Van Dorn Plaza

Literally my favorite hot chicken in the area. Anywhere you go there is a restaurant chain that does chicken really well, and I can say this place doesn't disappoint ! This is a fast casual place with plastic chair seats. The register is in front as you enter.Now the chicken...where do I begin? I think all of it is good. The tenders, sandwich, bites, thighs/legs, etc. the chicken is fresh, juicy, and the perfect amount of SEASONED breading. Not too thick on the breading. The crispy waffle fries are super good too! The sauce is also amazing. I think their generic sauce is so good, a little on the sweet spicy side but not overwhelming and compliments the chicken perfectly. They also have some kind of honey mustard Mayo? And they include breakfast syrup! I love my condiments so this is a win for me. My only loss for this place is that the heat of the chicken has not been consistent. I've gotten medium a few times and it can go anywhere from no heat to way too much heat...so I am just going to stick with mild from now on. This place is my new kryptonite, thank you!

For starters, if you can't listen then you don't need to be a cashier. First I tried to order a messy sando combo. I was told I couldn't do that and that the combo was only for the regular sando. Then someone from the back came and helped the young lady out at the cash register. I asked for the bbq sauce on the side, mild with no slaw. That must have went over her head because she didn't enter it. I told her how I wanted it again. She went to the back and told them....which we found out wasn't correct either. The soda machine was barely working. The only right drink was Mountain Dew. All the others were flat. The orange crush was WATER. No flavor, no color, no carbonation. No nothing!! The messy sando came out completely wrong. The slaw and sauces were both on the sandwich. I should have taken a picture before I sent it back. I'm currently waiting on a remake and don't have much confidence in what is to come back out. If it's not right this time, I'm just asking for a refund because this is crazy.

Came in and we ordered from the machine and we be there for like 25 minutes until this other guy came in and said he ordered, but no one came out. The service was dead and no one was is there any staff finally came out but there was face paint on him. She got really rude for a second and after words gave our food and he gave the other guy, his food and after words, he told us to leave the area

I recently had their chicken fingers that came with 2 dipping sauces and all was delish! The chicken fingers were flavorful and tender! The 2 dipping sauces were equally good!Sometimes they have specials...it was BOGO for the chicken fingers and the 2nd one was free which was a great deal!

Never getting food from this place, I found a metal in my chicken bites , the chicken was way too overseasoned and the mac and cheese was bland it tasted just like plain macaroni, the only good thing was the oreo shake

First time at a Hangry Joes. Got the Medium Heat Chicken Sando. Had a nice kick to it, chicken was seasoned well, breaded proper, and cooked nicely. Bun was good too. A little too much coleslaw and chicken breast could have been bigger but overall pretty solid sandwich!
