Gringos is a perfect spot for a date night, just the right lighting and a nice ambiance. Found this restaurant while looking for a special for National Margarita Day and I'm so glad I chose this place. 10/10 carne asada tacos!!! The steak was so well seasoned and flavorful, do yourself a favor and add a 3rd taco - it's worth the $4. These are my favorite restaurant carne asada tacos in the DMV right now. The green rice was also good. Salsa was fresh and not spicy, though chips were a little tough. The house margarita was $8 for National Margarita Day and it was a nice pour leaving me feeling warm and tingly after only one.Service was average, no complaints at all.

Stopped by Gringos & Mariachis in Georgetown and had a great meal overall. The free chips and salsa were a nice touch, and I appreciated that they kept them coming. I went with the Al Pastor tacos and a side of fries. The tacos did not disappoint--super flavorful, well-seasoned, and definitely filling. The fries. I was hoping for something a little more exciting, but they were pretty plain and could have used some seasoning to complement all the bold flavors from the rest of the meal. Not bad, just not as memorable as the tacos.Still, I'd absolutely come back--maybe to try another taco or two and see what else they do best!

We were 15 of us on a busy Friday evening . Loved their jalapeño margarita, nachos and salsa. We ordered the chorizo stuffed dates . Yummy . Their duck taco was excellent . Loved their avocado cilantro chicken soup . We also got the duck tostadas .Our other friends ordered veg fajitas , fish , veg sushi . All in all very good experience. Love to visit again .

Love this place. It has the best and strongest margaritas in town, but the food is what I love the most. The salsa is smoky and delicious. Shrimp ceviche is so pretty and filled with big chunks of shrimp. A bit too acidic with lime, but that's a minor quibble. My favorite is the duck tacos, on crispy tacos, perfect for sharing. Shrimp tacos and carne asada are awesome. Fish tacos are crisp and delicious. Service is laid back, and the place is usually packed - for good reason. Parking is sort of a pain on this side of Bethesda. You have to use the old garages and keep winding up level after level - and you have to pay for it. It's definitely not the cool side of town. Things around it look a bit sad. But Gringos' tacos and margaritas and great atmosphere are worth it!

If you are in the Bethesda area and want an good environment, he food was really good, this might be your place. The main reason I went there is to try the Duck Tacos, Duck Nachos and the Rolled Birria Empanada. I was not disappointed. I like the taste of the meal. The staff (Frank) was courteous and made suggestions and was easy to talk to and order.

Gringo's & Mariachis is sexy. The dramatic décor with artsy tattoo and graffiti art murals on all the walls paired with the old-school speakeasy type of bar cabinets and roped chandeliers really sets a tone. It is the perfect setup for a date night, girls night or even an intimate family-style dinner. The menu has a wide selection and the drink menu is a must try (watermelon margaritas are 5/5 here--pure amazing).Happy hour is legit. Drinks and food specials are available for $7.00!At times, this location will have deep-fried grasshoppers called chapulines for you to add to your tacos! EAT THE BUGS! They are super yummy =)

I had a great experience at Gringos & Mariachis. The service was top-notch, and our server was amazing. The house margarita was strong and had a great flavor, definitely a highlight of the evening. For appetizers, we tried the ceviche and chorizo queso fundido. Both were tasty, though the fundido was a bit too oily for my liking. The birria tacos were fantastic, especially with the flavorful jus. We also ordered the carne asada, which was tender and delicious, though I found it a bit too salty. Overall, it was a satisfying meal with just a few minor critiques.
