Grand China Carryout

What can I say, this is a typical neighborhood take out, with thick plexi glass barrier. Call ahead and place the order, the lobby space is small and parking is limiting, especially during game days. All you need to do is not look at the Kitchen cleanliness... and the food will be up to the standards for take out. Full of MSG, the wonton noodle wrap is thick, the fried rice id fried and greasy, egg rolls are a decent size and adequate in taste (no meat - all cabbage). Treat the workers right and they are friendly. The menu is typical for takeout and some... if you are looking for wings or fried fish / shrimp.

Cheap Chinese takeout was one of my favorite things to eat when I was in college. I tried Grand China Carryout because it's been years since I had Chinese takeout. The store was honestly kinda beat down and didn't look super clean. That being said, the woman taking the orders was very friendly and the food was actually pretty solid. I got General Tsos chicken and it tasted pretty great. It cost about $16, which is double what I used to pay back in the day. Regardless, I scratched the itch that I had for Chinese takeout.

Came in Saturday for their lunch special and was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. The portion of fried rice and general tsos was large and quality was good. Will come back for more carry out

First time trying Mumbo sauce, it was ok, service was fast, wings were fresh and cooked nicely, could've had more seasoning but I enjoyed it, the sauce could have been better but all in all, good eating! Nice retro Chinese restaurant vibe inside!

Nothing to really write home about. Had the whole fish and cheese sub with two orders of fries. Cheese wasn't even melted. Bread was kind of tough. Skimp on the condiments and toppings. Hardly any napkins given in the bag. $22 was a little overpriced to me. I just expected more. Here's a carry out in the hood...former hood...and they should know how to cater to their patrons. They claim that their fish sub is whiting but I'm not so sure. I know that fish is supposed to taste like fish but this fish had a real fishy taste (mercury) if that makes sense. I won't be back. I will say that their mambo (mumbo) sauce is good. My colleague suggested that I try it on my fries and it was pretty good but mambo (mumbo) sauce ain't enough to bring me back.

Worst food ever! Find another place to order from, because this place will not satisfy any palate. I would even go to Panda Express before ever going back to this place.

You do NOT want to waste your money here! These review sites need to start allowing ZERO stars! I cannot fathom how this place is still in business with that woman they have taking orders! she has got to be one of the rudest people to ever come across. It's not worth her abuse to get food there. It is not the cleanest either, so take your chances if you want. for me, I'll will NEVER frequent this place again! You shouldn't either.

I called this restaurant earlier today to place an order. They hung up on me while I was ordering over the phone. While I was speaking to them they did the usual act like they don't speak English shenanigans. So I went ordered from Panda Express. This business really missed out because I live close by them and never noticed them. Oh well I'll never choose them again. This was a horrible first impression!!

Food is great! Best chicken wings I've had in a long time. Only thing is the more wings you buy, the smaller sizes of the wings you will get.

I just left this place I ordered the mambo chicken it was extremely bland...ALSO I ordered the chicken chow mein and they gave me some gooey chicken instead, they probably gave me someones order that wasn't picked up so they wanted me to pay for it!!!!! But because I was already home I decided to eat it because I didn't want it to go to waste ALSO!!!!! the veggie chicken had a bug in it!!!!! This place doesn't look the cleanest but I decided to give it a try. I am BEYOND disgusted and disappointed!! This is the first and last time You will see me here!!!!
