The food was great and tasty, I loved their pounded yam with okra stew/ assorted meat. My meal was packed with flavor, made with love and left me wanting more. My friend enjoyed his Egusi , he stated they made it well. The suya was just okay as I've had better. Their before night service needs some work as there was only one worker present on the floor when I arrived. The service picked up at around 9PM. The restaurant was not packed with patrons but more staff arrived to work. I could tell this place is more for those who like the night night night life and I prefer to be in bed at 11.Again the food hit the spot and I will be back to try more options on the menu however I will order my food to go and do carryout.

My friends and I were looking for somewhere to grab food in the area, and GQ Palace Restaurant & Lounge was one of the only options that opened until late (2am).Definitely keep in mind that this is a lounge/club, so if you plan on being able to talk while dining in the evening - this may not be the option that you want to go with. The service was very very slow... There was some slight confusion with the waitress when our table gave our order - but luckily we were able to iron it out before the food arrived. It could have been that we were super hungry - but the food did seem to take a long time to come out. We decided that was likely a good thing as it meant it was being freshly prepared . Overall the Suya was tasty, and the pepper sauce served on the side was actually a good spice level. The Nwkobi (cow feet) was tasty - and it had been a while since I'd had it, so that was a pleasant surprise. My friends had the Fried Rice and Goat Soup and they both agreed that it was tasty. I wish I had checked the bill properly before paying... I wasn't aware of the 15% additional service charge added to each bill. Maybe if I had known that I wouldn't have added such a generous tip.Overall, the music and food was good. But it was super duper loud and the service could be improved.

This place is right next to my barber shop, so I've known about it for quite a while. From the outside it doesn't look like much... I first went one random evening during the pandemic because I wanted to try and support a new place. I got dinner from there... and since I live right next door, I decided to just order in person instead of calling ahead. The place has the biggest club / lounge vibes! They got the lights, music, everything. But it was so empty! Anyways, I got jollof rice and chicken. It was good... I particularly remember enjoying the rice! Fast forward to a while later, I exited the barber shop and saw a sign about 2-for-1 happy hour. I told a nearby friend and we decided to check it out one day. The vibe was the same, but the bar.... mixers were lacking, they hardly used ice, and as such the drinks did not turn out well at all. For most of it, I basically had to tell the person exactly how to make the drinks. They didn't even have rum... it was really weird! That was off-putting, and I haven't been back since... but when I do go, I want it to be on a weekend night so I can see how they really get down. I wanna see what the crowd is like there. I'll update after that.

This seems to be a hidden treasure for folks around middle and Northern #princegeorgescounty #pgcounty folks to hang. Drinks and music are good. Give it a check!

the Souya is over priced because it's not a whole tray it's the mini tray. I am use to the unions coming with vinegar on The onions or on the side and it was none. for $18 it had more fat than meat. Very disappointing

We went on a Thursday about three weeks ago. It was after midnight and we had just come from the city, but weren't ready to go home so we decided to finally try this place out. The music was extremely loud, we couldn't really hear what each other were saying, there were maybe nine or 10 customers including us, so why the music was that loud makes no sense. I'm very surprised this place is still open as everything is so over priced, I mean more overpriced than Sobe, Jasper's or Friday's. The bar is built too high, so sitting at the bar is uncomfortable, I guess this is what small children feel like when they sit down at any table lol. And the TV at the bar just had women shaking what their momma gave them the entire 45 mins we were there...no bueno.

Decent vibes but drinks are 17 dollars including a glass of wine. After ordering they didn't give us a tab because they wanted us to keep ordering without knowing the price of drinks. Thank goodness we all got one drink, asked for the price, closed out and left.

I went to order Pepper Soup and Suya yesterday and after paying $30 expecting that I would have a great experience. I was quickly disappointed to find that they put my soup in a non-leak proof container. The food I receive was not good AT all. The cost for the food is too much for the service and food quality I'd experienced yesterday. I would not be going here again!
