I walked in really liking the ambiance. Came at 10pm so there were very few groups eating, and we were seated in a semi-private area. The side dishes were good, especially the potato salad dish. My cousin and I ordered assorted intestine gui (we liked it in NY a few years ago), fried rice (side), and pork skin in spicy flavor. In short, while grilling the pork skin the smoke was really bad because the spicy sauce (I presume the gochujang) burned so much. My cousin was coughing so hard that she had to leave the room, and even the server was coughing. We've had pork skin before (at other places) and had really good experiences, but when we tried it at Gopchang Story, it wasn't a matter of good or bad- it tasted like ashes, not charred. You could literally smell the smoke/ash from the food and so normally we don't like to complain but we called the server and told her that it tasted really burnt, and if it was supposed to be that way, and if we could exchange it for something else. She took a piece and brought it to someone who-to our shock- told her that was how it was supposed to be. After trying it once the first time, then once more (we really didn't even want to try it the second time- it was that bad) to really confirm if we should say something, we left it untouched. The texture was also off, but the taste of ashes made it inedible.Another thing was the heat was left on high for the intestine and the server didn't come by to check up on it after initially cooking it (despite there being few customers), so even though we flipped it over, a lot of it burned, and considering the fried rice we ordered as a side needed to use the remainder we canceled the fried rice portion. The server did eventually lower the heat on the intestines but by that point it was already burnt anyways. We weren't given the choice to make the pork skin better (remake, exchange, discount, taken off the receipt); the server did apologize while bringing the check, but we had to go home and eat again because we didn't want to order another item from this place. Even though I haven't tried their other dishes, I will not return and advise people against this restaurant as there are many other options with better service and food.

No need to return when there are so many Korean BBQ places. We are Korean so we eat quite a bit of KBBQ. Only saw several tables were busy, but no one came up front to give us a table until we flagged someone down. Our server was very busy, but I could tell she was forgetting different items for different tables. Sometimes she didn't even turn around to check on us. Had to ask someone else for check. Our server brought our check but didn't even say a word.Food is just ok. There's better out there. Smoke filled the entire restaurant and you could see it as well as feel it on your eyes. There are no exhaust pipes above the tables so they had to open the front door to let the smoke out! It was freezing cold! We had to put our coats back on and we were still cold. They did give us pickled radish wraps without us asking but i read a review below that they didn't get any. Steamed eggs were uncooked on top and looked like runny scrambled eggs. First time for that too at Kbbq!

Solid spot!!! I truly enjoy coming here. The ambiance is nice, yet casual. The quality of their meats are really! The service is always great!!! The only thing I wish they had were better sauces for the meat to dip in, it would level this place up! I usually have their all you can eat special. I think it's $35 per person.I feel like they're known for their sides. The sides are fire!!!!! Great corn cheese, salad with spicy peanut dressing is yummmm, and the tofu soup is delish.

I did not love this place.I feel like for an area so affluent with Koreans, it is lacking. Not enough bonchon, and no pickled radish wraps or rice paper wraps. I feel like those are essential when enjoying kbbq! While the meat quality is good the service could use some work. We did get free beef tartare due to service issues. According to my friends, it was an off night.

Overall this is a really good Korean bbq spot. We've been here twice now and the only thing we wish was better were the sauces. Most places have some kind of soy sauce based sauce and this one doesn't seem to. But the quality of the meat at the price offered is really good for all you can eat. There are two options for the AYCE. One for those who don't care for the seafood and one for those who do. The seafood one is slightly more expensive but it's still under $40 per person. The sides here are really good! The salad is one of our favorites to start with since it has a spicy dressing on it. But the cheese corn and steamed egg are delicious too. The service here has been great for us. We've happened to get the same waiter twice and he's super chill and friendly. He remembered us after I brought up our conversation from the first visit. The ambiance is open and causal here. They have a lot of tables and this most recent visit was a lot busier than the first visit.

Gopchang Story is an AYCE KBBQ place that is open to 2 AM!Nice new place. There is no hood vent by the grill, but the place has high ceilings and seems to be vented well. I came around 12:30 AM, so there were only 2 other tables. The restaurant is spacious. They have side rooms in addition to the main dining area. House music playing. Nicely decorated with many plaques/awards. Two gender-neutral restrooms. The service was great! Mark and his fellow servers took great care of me. Mark was friendly, helpful, empathetic, and attentive.I went with $39.99 Option BBeef Rib Fingermeat (3/5) - too chewy, definitely need scissors to cut into smaller pieces.Marinated Cubed Short Rib (3.5/5)Sliced Marinated Ribeye (4/5)Fatty Brisket (4/5)Marinated Pork Kalbi (5/5) - very tender and marinated well.Thinly sliced Pork Belly (3.5/5)Thin Picked Radishes (4/5)Banchan (3/5): kimchi, fishcake, squash, pickled onions.Sauces & Seasonings: Lemon Pepper, chimichurri sauce, sea salt, sesame oil & chilis, hot pepper, yum Yum sauce +secret (4/5). They were all very tasty.

Was served by Grace and she was amazing! Her service was quick and she was very friendly and she was super on top of getting everything we needed. It never felt like she was interrupting our dinner but instead like she was adding to our experience. Really enjoyed the evening, thank you so much!
