Quality bubble tea in a cute location! If you find yourself craving boba in Foggy Bottom, Gong Cha is a great option. While it is on the pricey side, there are a plethora of tea/coffee combinations to try out. Not to mention waffles and other sweet treats! The precise customization features allow for your drink to be exactly how you want it to be. I usually go for the Matcha or Taro milk tea. Very smooth and not too sweet - just how I like it!The service can be slow at times with lots of customers / few staff on deck. However, all drinks are crafted well and the crew is always welcoming.

This place is such a hidden gem! Right next door to Toryumon Japanese House! Gong Cha has a calm and friendly environment. Serves amazing drinks like Pearl Green Milk Tea, Taro Coconut Milk Drink, Wintermelon Milk Drink, and Taro Smoothie! Definitely worth it and tasted so good!! I also got a Chocolate Egg Waffle with Ice Cream! I must say it was delicious. This place makes me think of a pretty chill hangout or study spot. I definitely recommend this place!

I've been to many a Gong Cha but felt compelled to write a review this time since I tried a seasonal drink. I skipped my usually Thai Iced Tea boba to try the Thai Mango Green Milk Tea. It comes with passionfruit jelly and mango drizzle. I added coconut jelly as well and it was delish. Not delicious enough to become my new go-to but I'm happy I tried something new. That mango drizzle is a game changer though, I broke through the plastic cover to get every last bit of it.

The boba seems harder - maybe because it's cold in DC. The drink itself is fine. First time trying the Purple Sweet Potato and I think it needs more milk. The strawberry creme brulee was better

Great bubble tea! My wife got us both a strawberry and a mango tea smoothie on a hot day and we loved them both. Need to try the boba in the tea as well as other flavors in the future.

Have been craving boba and egg waffle and i'm so happy there's a gong cha near by. It's my first time trying it--very satisfied with how fluffy the waffle is and the drink wasnt too sweet however the boba could be a bit more chewy!

It was a hot spring day in DC and my friend and I had just finished up eating at Poki DC, which conveniently shares the space with Gong Cha. You can tell that I'm a bubble tea aficionado when I say yes to bubble tea even after having it the day before. Here's the difference: every location will offer you something different. This location caught me with sparkling lychee boba. What in the world?! I took it and I ran with it. Sparkling lychee. Herbal Grass Jelly. Tapioca. *chef's kiss* in 80°F weather. The service was pretty good, you order through a kiosk and wait for your number to be called. Be sure to step away from the counters and the kiosks especially during lunch hour since it gets confusing with both lines going for Poki DC and Gong Cha.

Right beside the Farragut metro station, the location is located in the basement level (down a flight of stairs and beside a ramen shop). The store is always well air-conditioned and there are plenty of tables and a mat area to enjoy ones cup of bubble/boba tea. They also have a shelf of games with Heads Up, Uno, and Jenga. The drinks are made really fast and they have kiosks where one can order. They also have egg waffles and other desserts. Unfortunately, their tea is watered down and some of their drinks are much too sweet, such as the Matcha Strawberry Latte, even with reduced sugar.

Found plastic in my drink. I ordered a green milk tea with bubbles. My teeth hit something hard while I was chewing the bubbles, so I spit it out and it looks like plastic that might've accidentally been from the packaging. Other than that, the person I ordered with was nice enough. The store was dead empty and quiet, so it took awhile for me to find someone to order from. Had to yell for a bit before someone came out. She sounded rushed and stressed, so maybe she was under pressure doing something in the back even though the store was empty. I don't know if I'll go here again, almost swallowing the plastic kind of grossed me out.
