Mongolian Onions...er I mean Mongolian Beef.
Fried chicken w/dry chili peppers!
Wonton Soup - nice job here. Not a wonton guy, but this was done well.
Fried Chicken w/ Dried Chili Peppers - Pro tip: take off the spice by requesting they hold back on the peppers and sub in some more chicken!
the interior of a restaurant
I wrapped this from the Half Peking Duck order - flavor explosion, without the empty wallet and sad feelings you would get at Peking Gourmet
Chengdu Kung Pao Chicken - they named a Szechuan dish after the capital of the province, but the flavors did just as much talking!
The crab Rangoon
Shrimp "tempura" more like shrimp puffs.
Half Peking Duck - Peking Gourmet Inn is overrated compared to this (added plus: no republican pretentiousness at this establishment!)

It's closed, being replaced by a Peruvian Chicken restaurant (below is from an article in Arlington Now from 9/6/22):A new family-owned Peruvian chicken restaurant is opening on Columbia Pike.Cabaña Restaurant is looking to start serving roasted chicken and other Peruvian food at 4815 Columbia Pike, perhaps later this month.Plus, with so many other restaurants closing over the last two years due to the pandemic, space became available close to their original restaurant. Prior, 4815 Columbia Pike appears to have been home to Ginger Beef.

I have to agree with the previous yelper's review...This restaurant has changed the menu and I'm fairly certain the chef's are new as well. The food was awful when it arrived, but the nice guy working was very accommodating and gave us a new order. Second time was slightly better but still not what we're used to. I probably won't be ordering from here again but the lo mein is okay...

I tried Ginger Beef on a whim for some cheap and easy Chinese take-out, and I can say I was pleasantly surprised. While the inside of this place is disgusting, the food here is worth taking out because it's remarkably solid. The location of this place is just awful - shoved into a kinda crappy shopping center on Columbia Pike and with an interior reminiscent of a place you'd develop some sort of advanced food poisoning, this isn't the kind of place I'd ever want to eat. There's a lot of nasty stuff laying around all over the place, the counters are sticky, and the floors are disgusting - the only clean thing here appears to be the kitchen (as far as I could see). With that said, the food I got here was genuinely tasty. The Moo Shi Pork I ordered was perfectly cooked and seasoned to the point where I don't think I've tasted better in recent years. The egg rolls I got were equally tasty and perfectly cooked - the wrapper was particularly delicious for whatever reason. I'll definitely be going here again, though only for take-out.

This only for delivery....like 6 times over. It's my husband and I's go to when we are in a pinch. He's Cantonese and loves their fried chicken and dried peppers. Mongolian beef does have a lot of onions but it's altogether tasty. No weird meat parts. Spring rolls are meh. Cashew chicken is delicious. Mongolian fish is da bomb. If you ever go inside, there are a couple of guys that look like they know what they are doing. Surroundings are kind of drab, but the food is a steal compared to the prices, so take the time to sample the flavors!Delivery is fast. You get free add-ons for buying $15+. $1.50 delivery fee. Cons: melted, deformed styrofoam boxes upon delivery from the heat (only one occasion), and the egg drop soup is super gross - we couldn't finish it (also one occasion)

Ordered 2 items through DoorDash at 9pm. I was told by the driver at 9:45 that the restaurant had cancelled my order. I called the restaurant and they said they cancelled it because they're closing. They close at 10. I told them I had ordered an hour prior and they hung up.

Overall, the food was not bad, since we ordered pretty "safe" dishes (i.e., Mongolian beef and General Tso's chicken). But a few things that they did annoyed me, so I won't be ordering from them again. Pro: Food was delivered very fast (within 15 minutes).Cons: They were obviously being cheap about things. My boyfriend and I each ordered a dish, but they only gave us one small container of rice to share (they advertise that each dish comes with steamed rice). Also, I ordered Mongolian beef and what I got was more like Mongolian onions with a few strips of beef thrown in. Very disappointing. I can't believe I paid $8 for a plate of onions. If your restaurant's name has the word "beef" in it, you probably shouldn't skimp out on beef in your dishes! I'm uploading a photo to prove that I'm not exaggerating.

Okay, so I tried this place using the EAT24 function on my Yelp app (which worked like a seamless charm by the way!) Highly recommend using and even downloading the app!Ginger Beef (name of restaurant) was a solid choice for Chinese delivery! (Likely for take-out as well). Minimum delivery is $15 which is easily reached and you even get a bonus item to sweeten the experience! The bonus Hot & Sour soup was tasty and a perfect treat to sip on while plating up the rest of my neatly packaged order. All the "usual suspects" are available on the menu including fried rice, various chicken selections with vegetables, beef offerings and a variety of seafood options. I stuck to the basics and was definitely not disappointed. Food was delicious overall and NOT greasy (surprisingly for a takeout joint!).Ordering, delivery, packaging, taste was ALL good and smooth. Solid 4-stars from this late night eater!

This restaurant's menu hitting my mailbox couldn't have been timed better had they stood in front of me at a hunger strike. Before you get confused, let me tell you a little back story. I've recently started swimming laps in a pool, and if you haven't in a while give it a shot. Every time I get out of the pool, I'm hungry. And not that "oh, I'll have a small salad to tide me over" BS hungry. I mean, I'm ready to run the local Boston Market out of chickens hungry. Lucky for them, I checked my mail on the way home and couldn't seem to get 'Ginger Beef' off my mind.I drove over to find the owners inside very friendly and welcoming. Is this a newish business? Did they just purchase it from a previous owner? Or are they just nice? No clue. To counter the niceness of the owners, the location is not what I'd call stellar. Sandwiched b/t a Laundromat & a check cashing place, this might not be your favorite location after dark. But fear not, they deliver! Inside, the place is nothing to write home about either, just some basic tables and chairs to wait for your food and a few soda machines with an assortment of coke products and tea and a few others. The menu choices are almost endless. This is after all a proper carryout. By carryout, I mean you can get an authentic Chinese dish, an order of chicken wings, a gyro, some fries and a burger all at the same time. After perusing the picture menu (What? I can read. I just like pictures dammit. Quit judging me!), I step up to the plate. In hind sight, no one at my level of hungry should be allowed to order Chinese food. Tonight's selections include Peking Duck (w/ extra pancakes), fried dumplings, egg rolls, fried rice, hot/sour soup, & beef w/ vegetables. So, the question of the day... how was the food? Actually, quite good. As far as Chinese food and carryout's go, damn good! The duck was excellent with pieces of crispy skin and tender meat. The pancakes (for the duck) were just thick enough to have a little flavor and to hold in the duck combo, but not so thick as to be over powering. The sauce had just the right zing and the scallions were freshly cut. The egg-rolls were wonderfully fried and as always a wonderful duck sauce delivery method to my mouth. The beef w/ vegetables was tender and flavorful and the dumplings were thick and gooey with a lightly tangy sauce. If I were to make a suggestion, ask for extra sauce with your dumplings. Why the 4 stars you may ask? Well, can a carryout truly achieve 5 stars? Maybe, that all depends on your scale. I'm docking it one star for the sketchy location, the meh interior and lack of diet sodas, but other than that... it looks like I have a new regular Chinese carryout. I'll be looking forward to my next sick day so I can gorge on more tastyness from that menu!

I always order from here and the food is usually good but I ordered Lo mein and chow mein and it was inedible. It was so incredibly bad that I had to throw out my meal and I was raised in a country where that was certainly verboten! Not worth the gamble at all.
