Geobukseons Sushi

GeoBukSeons is a new Korean sushi place that took over what was once Ga Bo Ja.Their menu is pretty extensive, offering various apps, seafood dishes, sashimi, sushi, chef's specials, braised dishes, stews, Korean hot pot, grilled fish, and even lunch combos.We tried:+a Chirashi bowl+the Sashimi Box+the Salmon Teriyaki Box+the Bulgogi BoxEverything was fresh and well-presented, and the interior was clean and bright.The staff were friendly, and there's plenty of parking in their small lot.Definitely a great place to get your sashimi fix; they have different-sized platter options for larger groups, which is super convenient.+fresh sashimi+friendly staff+parking available

Not recommended. Expect items on the menu to be unavailable, with excuses like "it's on the way" or "the grill isn't working." Running out of food on a Saturday? A well-prepared restaurant plans for the weekend rush. The food is subpar. For a Korean sashimi restaurant, even a basic dish like hwe dup bap is disappointing--mostly bagged salad greens with a few lackluster pieces of fish. I've had better quality from H Mart. The chirashi was equally underwhelming--plain rice with a few scattered fish slices.If you're ordering a sashimi boat, be aware of their rigid portioning: small is strictly for two people, medium for three, and large for four. The waitress will repeatedly emphasize that tsukidashi (side dishes) are portioned accordingly. If you're a party of three and order a small, you'll only get sides for two--no flexibility. This felt unnecessarily rigid, especially since other places are more flexible--typically listing small as serving 2-3, medium 3-4, and so on.Service was inconsistent--some dishes arrived faster than fast food, while others sat forgotten on the counter until we asked. Overall, a disappointing experience. Went in with high hopes under the new management but left disappointed.

We had our New Year's gathering at this place. The food was fresh and very delicious, and the staff was extremely friendly. The appetizers served before the sashimi were excellent. The spicy fish stew was also flavorful with a refreshing broth. Our group was very satisfied with the service.
