Things I love about this spot1. The cheesecake! I got the banana pudding one and it was delish. 2. The variety! Flavors included strawberry, lemon, key lime, sweet potato, and more. Looking forward to trying them all! 3. The story. "Severely impacted by the recent government shutdown (2018-19) and desperate to figure out how to make ends meet without their paychecks, two sisters from two different federal agencies, Nikki Thompson Howard (left) and Jaqi Thompson Wright (right), were forced to step out on Faith to support their families and prevent the bottom from falling out."4. The sizes. The smallest size was perfect to share with a friend. Larger sizes were available too and the prices for the various sizes were reasonable. If you find yourself looking for dessert while at National Harbor, this is the spot to go.

I went in after walking by this location. I saw the photos and decided to support. The staff person was super friendly and helpful in my selection. There was social distancing and markets. I ordered the sweet potato and strawberry cheesecakes. They also have vegan options which is great. I was able to get in and out quickly. I ate the strawberry first which was tasty. The crust is a thin layer at the bottom. The cheesecake was firm and fulfilling. The sweet potato was really good and had a great flavor. It was also very thick and filling. I would go back when in the mood for dessert, especially cheesecake. There were various options available so would like to try them.

The backstory is amazing. I love the concept. The cheesecake that I had (nana) was just ok. The portion was small and the price was not fair to me. I frequently by from the Pie Man of DC and his pies are double the size and half the price of these. Not to mention he uses all organic and natural ingredients!Like I said, I love the inception of this establishment. That's why we patronized it, but don't rip your people off. Treat people right and the money will follow. This is just my opinion. No disrespect. I know property values at national harbor are ridiculous but figure out another way to eat the costs please.

I stumbled across Furlough Cheesecake while waiting for our table. I tried both their signature and top seller. The sweet potato and banana pudding flavor. They both are really rich and firm, which is my preferred texture. I love the size, presentation and taste of the crust; along with the customer service.

What a great tasting Cheesecake. I'm from Brooklyn, NY so I know cheesecake. NY cheesecake is 1 of the best in the world especially Junior's Cheesecake. The Cheesecake Sister's were a pleasure to talk to and my wife and I had a great experience. We even went back a second time just before coming back home to Brooklyn. Great selection of flavors don't miss out!

My sisters and I heard the background of this business and the owners, and we decided to stop in for dessert after having brunch in the area. We got and shared the sweet potato and the lemon flavors. But first I got hit with the price of $19.00 total for two single-serving sized cheesecakes. Wow! There's a whole 8" round cheesecake that I get from Whole Foods that's half that price. It seems like a lot of things in the National Harbor are excessively priced so I proceeded and figured, "these better be good". The sweet potato was just ok and the lemon was so-so. They are not overly sweet which is a positive. But the texture was mousse-like and not the firm, rich textures that others experienced and what I was expecting after reading reviews. Perhaps they've changed their formula. They both had a very thin crust of graham crackers, maybe...it was a little soggy and didn't have much flavor so I really couldn't tell. I gave 4 stars but really our experience was more of a 3.5.
