Great lunch at Frankie's! The arugula salad was fantastic. Perfectly dressed and excellent seasoning with pistachios. Pizza crust was excellent and toppings great! Highly recommend Frankie's

The atmosphere was cozy, intimate, and inviting. We seated ourselves at a table near the bar to get a great view of the football game. Our waitress came right over and asked if we wanted to start off with some drinks. We asked to start with water as we looked over the menu. We ordered grilled buffalo wings, ceasar salad, and a custom 14" pizza with half mushrooms, half pepperoni, with roasted red peppers and onions on the whole pizza. For drinks we had Modelo beers. The grilled wings had a nice char on them but lacked any flavor past the thin buffalo sauce that the wings were coated in. We also prefer a crispy wing so these weren't our favorite. The pizza was delicious and delivered to our table piping hot from the oven. The crust was a tad soggy on the bottom from our toppings but the edge of the crust was so good! The ceasar salad was crispy, fresh, and green. We enjoyed it as well.When we received the beer which came in a bottle, our waitress also brought us a cold glass with was a great touch. The service was great as we were checked on with our waters being filled without us having to ask. Overall this is a nice place to grab a drink and food in a relaxing atmosphere.

Friends and I wanted to grab dinner somewhere we'd never been in Alexandria and we decided to give Frankie's a chance based on reviews.Driving by you might miss its signage bc it's on a tree lined block and doesn't scream restaurant, however, walking by you would see it bc it has nice outdoor seating.The front of the restaurant is where the bar and high top tables are and it was a total upbeat vibe. The seated tables are in the back of the restaurant and that's where you can tell that the establishment was a semi-remodeled older restaurant as there are remnants of the decor still visible and the vibe is much different.After being seated our server immediately greeted us and gave us time to review the drink and food menu. They have a spectacular speciality cocktail menu that made me want to try them all, however, I clearly X couldn't do that so I went with the Exit 176 and my friends went with the Virginia is for Lovers and the Strawberry Coconut Margarita...all were BOMB! I had a few of the Exit 176's bc that's just how good it was aaaand bc many restaurants don't have Hennessy in general and certainly not a specialty drink with Hennessy as the star.We ordered pineapple jalapeño grilled wings and a meat lovers style pizza with drizzled hot honey on it for appetizers. The pizza was sooooo good (& they have an extensive pizza menu as they have a special pizza oven) and the wings were grilled perfectly and the pineapple jalapeño glaze was fresh (pineapple freshly crushed) l. I went with the clams and linguini from the daily specials menu and my friends both got the cajun chicken pasta. Let me just say that the clams and linguini was honestly the BEST I have ever had! Flavor explosion + perfect aldente pasta = happy woman! Even though the portion appeared to be smallish bc of the plating, I took over half home bc I was stuffed.Oh and of course we ordered the 2 desserts ... tiramisu and chocolate mousse .... that mousse was addictive! OMG!We were pleasantly surprised by the entire dining experience and our server was phenomenal as well ( can't recall her name but she was a brown skinned woman, with shorter reddish and brown locks, who had a broken finger from her trip to Mexico lol) .We will definitely be back!

I came here with my best friend in early June. She ordered the Cajun chicken pasta and I ordered the Angry Pollo pizza. When I tried her pasta it was amazing! I'll go back and order it without mushrooms haha. But my pizza was good. I replaced jalapeños with fresh arugula. The only thing I'll say about it, is the bottom towards the end of the pizza got pretty moist from the heat or the arugula. It was a tad dry so I ordered a side of balsamic sauce to drizzle on to the pizza. It was the perfect touch. The next day I put the two slices I had left over in the oven and it was even better. Good and very fresh! The staff were very friendly attentive to answer any questions. The location of the restaurant is perfect for outdoor walking. Located in a pretty upbeat downtown area in Alexandria.

Frankie's is located in the old Fauca Lot na space. They have indoor & outdoor seating. A nice big bar with TVs and a nice pizza oven. They have a nice appetizer selection, the pineapple grilled ribs were delicious. We enjoyed a really nice pizza. I look forward to returning in the future.

Cool place to grab a drink and a burger (or sandwich). The pizza looked yummy but we opted for burgers and sandwiches. The staff were very nice and the place had a good neighborhood feel.

Always excited to have a new restaurant in town! Especially when it's not a chain! We came here on a whim on this Wednesday night and it was packed! And they have happy hour already!Food was good - all could use a little more spice, fresh herbs or garlic but for the most part it was great!Did the whipped feta as a happy hour appetizer with a glass of cava. Then we ordered the garlicky shrimp pasta and margarita pizza. Service was very nice. Marissa was training and killing it! Well def be back!!

Always enjoy stopping at this local restaurant. Food is well prepared. Staff is friendly and service is quick.

First time eating here. Arrived at beginning of 'Happy Hour' and hostess was wonderful to let us know. We orders the wings for $6 on "HH" menu and the 2 full-price pizzas. The wings were good and the pizzas were great. We sat up front close to bar to people watch. The vibe was ok. Waitress was very nice, attentive and brought out food timely. Well drinks were nice and well priced @ $5. This was a good place for our money and timing. Would eat here again and recommend to friends. Clean and parking on the street was good.

chatI've really enjoyed the food and staff at Frankie's in the past, and I was hoping this would become my go-to neighborhood spot. The food has always been great, and I've had positive interactions with the staff before.However, my most recent visit was extremely disappointing. Another patron made me feel very uncomfortable--he seemed to be bothered by my presence, possibly due to a minor cough, and his reaction made it difficult for me to enjoy my meal. When I moved seats to avoid conflict, he accused me of causing a scene.What truly let me down was the bartender, whom I've met several times before and expected better from. Not only did they fail to take any action, but they also didn't even acknowledge that there was an issue. Their complete lack of response made me feel unsupported in a situation where a simple recognition of the problem could have gone a long way.I was really hoping Frankie's would be my neighborhood spot, and despite this experience, I'm willing to give it another try. However, I sincerely hope this kind of aggressive behavior from other patrons isn't something that continues to be tolerated. A great restaurant should be a welcoming place for all guests, and I hope to see that reflected on my next visit.
