They should rename the "char-burger" to the "dry-burger". I had the quarter pounder and it was dead and gone. The patty was so dry and flavorless. The bun was nothing special, seems like a cheap grocery store bun. They gave me the top of a tomato with a stem on it and they put about 100 white onions on my burger too. The fries are actually hand cut and tasty. They remind me of 5 Guys fries. But, the fries shouldn't be better than the burger. Sorry, but we won't be back.

The location is great. Very convenient. Walking distance from Metro, AMC, and several apartment complexes, plenty of parking (but spaces very narrow and close together). Inside is industrial and casual. The place looked very clean when I was there. I got app ordered take out so the service I can't say. I got the "famous" hot dog. It was the only item I got and I severely disliked it and will not get it again. However, I will go back and try some other items and sit down with friends after a movie.

We came here in a large school group (37 people!!) and the staff was super accommodating! They had our orders out quickly and everyone was very happy with their food! Great customer service and delicious food! I highly recommend the burger with onion rings. Unfortunately I don't have any photos of them because I ate them so fast! we had the cookies for dessert and they came out warm and gooey- the perfect dessert! Yum!!!

The food was good! My favorite was the french fries. Burgers and Side salads spot on. Owner was nice.

Stopped in later on a Saturday to grab a quick bite with the kids and wife while we were out taking care of some things. The bartender/server that was working solo was incredible. He was quick, friendly and great with the kids. The food was pretty decent for a fair price.

First time at this location and I just picked up my to-go order, but parking was easy, staff was friendly, and the food was good. I'll be back.

After hearing multiple recommendations in my local foodie group, my husband and I decided to check out Foster's Grille in Alexandria for dinner. The restaurant has a fun, casual vibe, complete with a car hanging from the ceiling, and the ordering process is simple--you grab a strip of paper, write down your order, pay at the counter, and take a seat. The staff was friendly, and the space was clean, which made for a good first impression.We both ordered the Foster's Charburger--his with onion rings and mine with fries. The food took about 15 minutes to arrive, and the total came to $31 without drinks. The 1/2 lb burger was well-done and well-made, but unfortunately, it lacked the bold, charbroiled flavor I was expecting. It tasted like a standard burger without anything particularly memorable.The sides were the biggest disappointment. While the portion sizes were generous, both the onion rings and fries were extremely greasy and lacked crispness. The fries, in particular, seemed like they had been fried earlier and refried before serving, resulting in a dominant taste of oil rather than potato, making them inedible.We really wanted to like this place, but overall, the food was just average and not worth making a special trip for. While the atmosphere and service were nice, the flavors and execution didn't live up to the hype.

We stopped in after a day in Virginia. Foster's has both inside and outside seating and a bar. I'm not sure if they just serve beer or it's a full bar. The menus are paper slips that you fill out and give to the bar tender. Sandwiches, burgers & salads. I had the steak and cheese combo. The fries are potatoes that are cut fresh daily. The atmosphere is pretty cool. They have a race car frame and a model plane hanging from the ceiling. A wall near the restroom has small model planes all over it. See the picture. I was someone's guest, don't know about pricing.

Great local spot with great food, beverages, service. I have not been disappointed! I have been trying to tailor back on beef, but their burgers (you must try)! So I went with the wings and fries (also must try)!!!
