Flippin' Pizza

We have been to this Flippin location a few times as it's close to us. We usually buy a whole pepperoni pie but once we got an additional cheese as we were having a few folks over. Being from NYC, this is the closest that I have found thus far to a New York style slice (it's missing the river of orange grease that I love...dont judge). The crust is thin and crisp just like New York style and has that New York's style flavor combination of cheese and sauce. The staff is friendly and I have consistently had great customer service. We always get takeout and our pizza has always been ready on time. The inside is relatively small with a few tables (definitely not a spot for a large group). This has become our go-to pizza spot and I highly recommend.

A Pretty standard pizza spot. For my visit, I had a couple of slices and thought they were pretty average. While I wouldn't go out of my way to pick up a pizza slice or two from here, it's a decent option if/when you need something quick and easy. Two slices and a soda will run you about $7 so Flippin Pizza is pretty budget-friendly.

I made my order online, which was super easy. No delivery fee through grub hub (via Yelp) and could add a tip for the driver easily. When I called to ask a question, the young lady on the phone was sweet, polite, and professional. The delivery man was so nice! I just had surgery and am on crutches and he offered to bring the pizza to my kitchen. The pizza is delicious! Fantastic crust (I ordered the cheese hand tossed pie). The sauce was flavorful but not overwhelming and there was the perfect amount of cheese. I'm from the Philadelphia suburbs and am super snobby about pizza. This place was worth it. I will def be ordering from here again.

Love the pizza here! Dough is chewy but soft, a pleasant mouth feel. Also the staff seem to be young and eager to please. Strong customer orientation!

This Place does not have terrible pizza at all it's just lacking sauce. I ordered 2 slices.. one pepperoni and sausage the other just cheese. The cheese was the better of the 2. If it had more sauce i would love this pizza but for now it's just cheese and bread.

First time ever having Flippin' after I split a BOGO coupon with him. Ordered the Brooklyn red which had pepperoni, meatball, mushroom, and fresh garlic. Well, it was supposed to have those toppings. I never saw or tasted any fresh garlic, and all the other toppings were pretty skimpy at best. I guess using the BOGO coupon which ended up being $11.25 for the pie, gets you a few pieces of meat. Crust was OK, nothing special; definitely chain quality at a chain price. Probably won't come back, b/c it wasn't anything special. Paying full price for what I got would be ridiculous.

Flippin' has been our go to place, but their quality was way off today. Something big has changed: No thin crust option (Now you can only get one, standard crust) and an average sauce. I'm not sure why they made these changes, but it's a big departure from the wonderful, Neapolitan-style crust and flavorful sauce of past orders. It's a shame because they had a really good thing going for them! Flippin, please bring back thin crust and your original recipe!

Tried this place for lunch with a couple of co-workers and we all agree we will be back. None of us had been before although the intern being from CA was familiar with the name. We each got the lunch special -- two pieces of pizza and a drink for under $7. There were an assortment of topping options available although some certainly looked fresher than others which did impact my selection. This is NY style, large thin crush pieces you can fold and enjoy. I had one traditional (pepperoni & sausage) and one white with ricotta. It was the perfect amount for lunch. We were all happy with our first visit and plan to have another in the near future. Although it may be a while before we venture from the lunch special the menu does have some other good sounding options. Bottom line -- happy to have tried Flippin, look forward to visiting again. Safe to say it has been added to our primary lunch options list.

For a business in Bethesda, their affordable prices stand out. But the food is great too. Wing Wednesday is my favorite day.

Make sure to ask how fresh their salad is before ordering. They just sold me a garden salad with black rotten spinach mixed in. The manager handled the problem very professionally.
