Tamale and pupusa
Nutella Crepe $9.89 (includes $0.99 charge for Nutella vs plain) - two pieces eaten prior to photo
Two orders of cheesesteaks (9 inches, I believe). $27.98 for both. A bit pricey in my opinion, but tasty as well.
Nutella Crepe
Pupusa VegeMixta $4.50
Nutella Crepe
Yuca Fritas $9.99

4.5 Stars for the new food truck in Rockville! Follow the lively Latin American music and you'll find yourself outside the Flames & Crepes food truck! The Halal food truck is located just outside of the Marathon Gas Station and across the street from Flagship Carwash (currently closed for renovation). There is parking available, my family and I got our food to-go as I believe most customers do. I ordered the food via UberEats and it was ready when I arrived. We ordered two Cheesesteaks and I thought they were delicious, they were also pricey... $13.99 each. I did like the Flame Sauce drizzled on the sandwich. The sauce isn't spicy, but it is zesty and it added another flavor profile to the meaty cheesesteak. I also appreciated the thickness of the bread. It definitely held its own, didn't get soggy at all, or fall apart. The only Pupusa we ordered was the VegeMixta and I thought it was unique with ground Loroco Flowerbud being the first ingredient (never had it before and would have thought I was eating green pepper if I didn't know otherwise). I'd be interested in trying the other varieties of Pupusa. The Yuca Fritas came with fried pieces of beef, a cabbage slaw, a few pieces of radishes and cucumbers and a very light and delicious tomato based dipping sauce. I just loved that sauce!!! It was almost like tomato soup, but a lighter take of it (and not warm, like soup is usually. Also was mild in taste, not spicy). I don't know if I'd get the pieces of fried beef again, I wasn't interested in trying them, they looked hard and dried out/tough to chew (they can be excluded from ordering via UberEats menu). We also ordered a Nutella Crepe (the plain crepe is $8.99, and each topping is $0.99 extra). The amount of Nutella in and on the crepe was a generous amount. Just note the prices on the menu on their website are already outdated compared to UberEats, at least for the crepe. It used to be $6.99 and not it is $8.99... Not sure if this is the norm. There is one small picnic table outside of the food truck for anyone interested in eating on location. I feel this food truck will get busier when the Flagship re-opens!

I went to this food truck the other day while pumping gas & I tried out their Chicken Philly cheesesteak & Nutella crepe. Although it took 15 min it was def worth the wait... this place cooks their chicken fresh and uses flavorful seasonings , the sandwich melts in your mouth with the cheese and sautéed vegetables. The last time I got a Nutella Crepe I was not happy with the size nor the texture but this time around they have won me back. It is delicious dessert if you're looking for something chocolatey, I couldn't finish the whole thing myself!

Hidden gem right next to the marathon gas station. Save money at the cheapest gas station in the area and then save money with cheap eats at the halal food truck. Some of the menu items are ridiculously cheap. The pupusa sand the tamale are ultimately value. The food takes a bit of time but it's because they make everything hot and fresh to order. Highly recommend if you looking for cheap eats that remind you of a home cooked meal from mom. Next time, I will try the Cheesesteak and crepe since they looked outstanding!

I visited the food truck today and received a menu and was told I could call in and order ahead. it is a very cold day today and I figured a small business like that would benefit a sale. I drove back and placed an order. i told the lady o would be paying cash she said ok one second she wanted to finish my food and take her gloves off. I waited in the cold for 3-4 minutes. finally my food was ready and it was 34.00. She stated they just opened and cold not give me change for a large bill. I did not have my purse with me and no access to a credit card as my apple Pay was down. I was so frustrated and cold. The woman working stated I should go to a store and buy something and get change . if it was a nice day I may of considered doing this but with the upcoming snow forecast I was not doing that. I found that I had some money on a gift card and I went back to my card to find enough change to cover the bill. i decided to eat in the parking lot because we wanted out food hot. The bag and no napkins no utensils and no condiments. The fries had no salt on them and were completely tasteless my daughter did enjoy her tamales but the torta tasted like it had nacho cheese on it. I'm sad that the food truck didn't think about these things that were needed . and no it was way to windy to have those things outside so I assumed the bag had what was needed
