Flama on Wheels

My first time eating here. I asked the chef between the ribs or the salmon and he recommended the salmon even though he loves the ribs. I must say that this is the best salmon I've had in awhile! The food here is pricey but is proportionate for the quality you are paying for.The salmon was perfectly crispy with a very light batter and didn't have any fishy taste or smell. Way to go and I'll be--------Update 10/22/2018Had the flama grill today and not the flama fried. Yes there's a slight difference between trucks. I got the grilled salmon and I would say the fried salmon is better. Overall still very good!

Excellent. I got their salad with grilled chicken and it's just breast meat and fresh vegetables. Very good.

By far one of the best food trucks I've ever been to. Don't know what happened to them, though. Their Facebook hasn't been updated since November 2018, I'm writing this review in May 2019. Came here to see if there was any info on their whereabouts. Hope all is well and they're serving it up somewhere. If anyone has info plz reply! I think about their gaucho sandwich regularly, it's amazing.

Flama on wheels is a new-ish food truck that roams around DC. We stumbled upon it this week in Metro Center, thanks to the tasty samples they were giving. They say generally they are a "Latin American" food truck, but if you dig deeper you uncover that they are Puerto Rican influenced. All of the employees are super nice and friendly. $10 gets you a big sandwich, chips and a soda, not a bad deal at all. The tripleta I got was super tasty and filling! I will definetly be back!

Amazing food I had the pleasure to try the food at the Pride festival and it was amazing and I'm so happy that I can have them now at Metro centro great food and great people working.!!

Thoroughly satisfied. One of the best food trucks around. I tried them for the first time today after walking by them on numerous occasions. The smell of the smoke from the flame grill got my attention. Smelled heavenly. I ordered the Gaucho with steak on a ciabatta roll. The meat was tender and not overcooked. They also grill the bread. Grilled onions, peppers, and cheese really set it off. I also added an avocado for a dollar more. It is kind of pricey at 15 dollars total for the sandwich, chips, and a can of soda. However, I am willing to pay more for great food than to settle for mediocre food at half the price. As someone that has tried nearly all the food trucks..lol.. I have had some subpar food and thankfully Flama on Wheels does not fall into that category.

Flama on Wheels is the BEST!!!Love the fried ribs but nothing surpasses the whole deep fried red snapper. Fresh, seasoned perfectly; cooked to perfection. Love it!!!! i hope he has one today because i am on my way outside to see if the truck is there today!

Meat and flavors were on point. For 10 dollars though I'd want more meat and no simple UTZ chip. Do appreciate drink and tax includedWould come back to try their other sandwiches. Co-worker said salad was very disappointing and it's still 10 dollars

I had the Gaucha sandwich (flank steak and etc. on ciabatta). I thought the sandwich was good, but it didn't wow me in that I'd go out of my way to get it. I'd give it a 3.5. It was a good sized sandwich (not huge but not small). With all the ingredients listed, I thought it was going to be more stacked up sandwich, but it was mainly the flank steak with a big leaf of lettuce on top and the other ingredients hidden under the steak besides the sauce. It's $10 (I think everything on the menu was $10 for sandwich with soda and chips included). Would be cool if they did sandwich alone for $8 or $9. Good friendly service and quick so I'll bump 3.5 to a 4. The other sandwiches you could get as sandwich, wrap or arepa.

Really long waiting times for a food truck, would reconsider allowing them to serve a busy place where time is certainly a factor
