Fight Club

Had a nice afternoon here before dinner! While the online presence suggests it's a bar and arcade, there's only one Street Fighter machine, so don't get your hopes up on that front.Dora was a our server and she was great! We enjoyed the happy hour deals on well drinks, frozen cocktails, and, Jim G. even enjoyed a boilermaker. However, they didn't actually put the shot in the beer; the shot was served in a beautiful crystal teacup--classy! The music was good, the various shows on the tvs were interesting, and the Philly Cheesesteak was very tasty. I can see this spot getting busy for sports, but it was pretty slow on a weekday midafternoon.

Wow, this was terrible. I heard good things about Fight Club in the past, but it's clear they are are cutting corners and have gone seriously downhill. I wouldn't be surprised if they are on their last legs and close soon. Avoid at all costs.I visited Friday night for happy hour at 6 PM. There were two large 10+ person groups there, so it was pretty busy and loud. This is the old Hank's Oyster Bar space, and they didn't change it too much. They have some weird tchotchkes for decoration, some board games, and weird TV playing like an old 1990s baseball game and Scooby Doo cartoons. I could be into the vibe, but it also feels kind of cheap and janky.Service was terrible; they are understaffed. There was only one staff member working the whole place, a bartender No table service; you order and pick up at the bar. We sat at the bar, but the person was too busy to give us any real service. Plus, they also misunderstood our order -- we asked for regular fries and got large fries. The food was overpriced and terrible. We got two boilermakers (Old Time and whiskey shot, $9 but supposed to be $7 according to online menu), large fries ($12), and a Philly Style sandwich ($18). Go take a look at a Yelp review from October 2023 which shows the same dishes, then compare them to my photos. They had more fries, two dipping sauces, seasoning; they had a larger sandwich with real bread, more filling, full funions, and a pickle. We had none of those things. Our fries were cheap Cisco garbage with one sauce and no seasoning except salt, our sandwich was barely filled, on a cheap hot dog bun, no pickle, crumbled funions, and already split on the bottom so it didn't hold together. A sad, pathetic excuse for an $18 sandwich. Sure, menus and ingredients change over time, but compare our photos and you'll see a night-and-day difference.The menu online is outdated. The IRL menu is both more expensive and has fewer things on it, e.g. 5 snacks vs 3 snacks, 5 drafts beers vs 3 draft beers, 11 cocktails/frozen vs 6 cocktails/frozen. Happy hour prices are $1-$2 more. The daily specials QR code on the menu is broken. There is a 3% credit card surcharge not disclosed on the menu.Side Note: I'm not sure what's going on with this Yelp page, but a lot of the older reviews are for Beuchert's Saloon which is a different business in a different location (same owners).

Great name, service, and drinks!Oh, and that Philly hit the spot. Dora was great and the happy hour has a killer deals. Boiler maker was in some cool glasses too.

Good bar to watch sports at, plenty of tvs to look at. I'd recommend going during their happy hour (12-2p, 4-7p, 9p-close) for the best deals. They were out of a couple of the punch options by 8p so if you want a specific one, maybe go earlier to ensure you get it. We got the s'mores sammich and it was huge and quite messy. It is a marshmallow fluff inside and encrusted with cinnamon, sugar, and graham cracker crumbs. the center part was alright but the edges were just thick pieces of bread. If you are craving a smore, this isn't it, but if you just want something sweet, it may be an ok choice. I'd go back for the drink deals but not the dessert.

A go to spot in Capitol Hill! It has an amazing happy hour! Supporting the people pockets in the area.. you can't go wrong with that! The owners are def cool laid back people. They have some really good cocktails and option for everyone including the picky people. I love the fries here and also the sandwiches!! The seat located by the bar give is upscale boutique feel but it def a laid back spot with good bites. They also have games for you to play and TVs all over. Very delicious... We enjoyed every bite of it...specially the mushroom sandwich... The guy who served us was super helpful and friendly... We loved music, the great customer service and chill atmosphere...

A regular spot of mine & my partners! The pitchers are a great deal, especially when participating in trivia night. The food has also been consistently tasty!

Weird vibe and mediocre food. Craft singles as nacho cheese? Also I know it is the way of the future but give us physical menus please.
