Let me start by saying I was under the weather when I came to eat here for a business dinner. For someone who did not feel like being out, they sure did make yo with service and delicious food. Sorry I don't have more pictures! The place wasn't too big but had a classy vibe. We were a part of 10 and they did their best to even allow us to split up the bill. For starters, we had the Labneh, Roasted Beet Humus, Fig and Prosciutto Flat Bread, and the Wild Mushroom Croquettes. Everything was great but I LOVED the mushroom croquettes. Loved them so much we ordered a second. As the main course, I selected the Strip Steak Bordelaise and my seat neighbor had the Free Range Brick Chicken. I didn't taste the chicken but it looked yummy! My steak was cooked to perfection and very tender and flavorful. I enjoyed the cooked onions on top of the mashed potatoes. Being sick stinks and doesn't make you want any drinks or desserts but I'll definitely be back here on my next trip to try some more. Really great dinner in an upscale environment.

This review reflects my experience dining out with celiac disease, an autoimmune disorder that requires me to maintain a diet free of gluten (including cross contact).SERVICE: 5/5 starsDRINKS: 5/5 starsFOOD: 4/5 starsAMBIANCE: 4/5 starsVALUE: 3/5 starsOVERALL RATING: 4/5 starsFig & Olive was the perfect location at which to end Metropolitan Washington Winter Restaurant Week. Prior to making a reservation, I e-mailed the general manager to ask about accommodations for those with food intolerances and allergies (as the online Restaurant Week menu did not contain any allergy markings); I heard back within an hour with answers to all of my questions. I could reserve a table for up to seven online (via OpenTable).Friends and I dined at Fig & Olive on the Friday of Restaurant Week. Our party was seated upstairs and served by Eliana. After taking our drink orders, Eliana confirmed allergies for those at the table. Fig & Olive requires all diners on a reservation to select either the à la carte or the prix fixe menu (you cannot mix and match). Our seven-person party went prix fixe. For Restaurant Week, I ordered the baby arugula salad, the Atlantic salmon meunière (medium well in temperature), and the seasonal sorbet (raspberry and mint, with strawberries, blueberries, and figs). The arugula salad was entrée sized and delicious; I also loved the sorbet--the juxtaposition of raspberry and mint was refreshing and a lovely way to end my meal. Unfortunately, the salmon was disappointing; it came out colder than I would have preferred, with vegetables that did not complement the fish and sauce. Everything, however, was beautifully plated and felt very safe; as the kitchen was well prepared to manage allergies, I did not experience any side effects from exposure to gluten. To accompany my dinner, I ordered three Madras cocktails, all of which were delicious--well balanced, strong, and excellent complements to my dinner.Fig & Olive allows use of up to three credit cards per check; to simplify payment, one of us covered the bill with us splitting later via Venmo. No service fee or automatic gratuity was added to the total.I was so pleased to try Fig & Olive for Restaurant Week. I hope to visit again soon!

We arrived at the reserved time. We were greeted and seated almost immediately. It was only semi-crowded, so we were able to choose a table that was partially inside and outside, which made for a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. The food was good. I ordered the Moroccan spiced salmon. The menu was not that extensive, which made it difficult to make a selection. I honestly did not enjoy the taste of cinnamon or a similar spice in the dish. The presentation was nice. The skin on top was crispy and looked pretty good, but I did not eat it. For my personal preference, the dish was difficult to enjoy. I prefer my food either savory or sweet, but the combination of flavors in this entree did not work for me. On a better note, the salmon was cooked to my preference. It has been almost three months since I visited the restaurant, so I cannot remember the appetizer that we chose. However, I do remember that they did not bring bread to the table, though they had a complete bread station. The cucumber mocktail was refreshing and had good flavor. The ambiance was good. It was an open, bright clean aesthetic. The dining area was comfortable and laid-back, yet still elegant. The restroom was not very clean, which was not good. I would expect much more from this restaurant based on the location.

We had a nice experience for restaurant week. I may not come here otherwise because the prices are but high in the regular menu, but we did enjoy our three course dinner. The service I can say is impeccable, friendly, classy, and they are very attentive to food allergies as well. The butternut squash soup was my favorite of my items. No one disliked any dish they got really.

I've been to this location few times. Keep forgetting to take pictures of cozy inside! This place has a warm kind inviting atmosphere. Service was always great. I think their menu changes time to time so that's the good part as I like to try out new dish. Reservation is always required as the area gets busy.

Came here for my friend's birthday and to check out restaurant week. We came in a party of 8 and had a reservation. We were seated right away and loved the decor of the restaurant. It's very spacious and they have a really good playlist. The restaurant week menu has really great portion sizes. We were not that impressed with the taste of the food. I will say I really enjoyed the wild mushroom croquette but the chicken Milanese tasted like eating an upside down fried chicken salad. There was a little sauce on the bottom but there wasn't enough to really tell what the flavor of it was. I got the dark chocolate mousse for dessert but was disappointed because the texture reminded me more of pudding. My friend's lemon olive cake was good but she thought it tasted a little too salty in certain bites. The best part of the meal was the bread they brought up with a little olive oil on it. The overall experience was only okay. I was hoping the food would could come out a little sooner than it did. I probably wouldn't eat here again by choice but the service is really nice and maybe someone else would like it. The overall consensus from my group was a little disappointment.

I've eaten here twice. I'm leaving it five stars because the service the first time was phenomenal. The second time, things fell off, but it was okay. The first time, I sat in the dimly lit lower level and Laura was my server. The vibes were great. Laura was helpful and enthusiastic. She knew the menu well and made great recommendations. Both meals, I had the prix fixe for 52 dollars (appetizer, main, dessert). Sunday through Thursday offering. I had the wild mushroom croquettes both times (though I considered the tuna meatballs, my second server steered me away from them). Crispy on the outside and hot and gooey, full of cheesy flavor on the inside. For my first main, I had the free-range brick chicken, served with smashed fingerling potatoes, riviera vegetables, olives, and salsa verde. First, this chicken is served on the bone and is not my style, but the flavors were great. Served with the skin on, this added another level of sumptuousness. The second night I had the strip steak persillade, made with smoked potato puree, roasted red onion, and trumpet mushrooms. The steak was well seasoned and served at the perfect temperature. Thought it wasn't noted on the menu, there was a 9 dollar upcharge for the steak. Ok, fine, but this should be noted on the menu (maybe I missed it). The mushrooms and onions were smoky and flavorful. For my first dessert, I had the lemon and olive oil cake (served with mint-basil creme fraiche and pine nut brittle). I liked it, but maybe liked the flourless chocolate cake better, made with whipped cream and caramel popcorn. It was a little more moist and had more flavor.I also had the crostini at an extra cost. They have multiple flavors. I had the caramelized onion and goat cheese, prosciutto and manchego, and the one made with eggplant (not on the current online menu), which was smoky, with a complex flavor profile. You can choose a trio to try different ones. The menu also has salmon, salads, small plates (tuna, burrata, flatbread), branzino, lamb, mushroom ragout, and multiple sides.I had multiple cocktails, and all were different, yet delicious and refreshing. They have a great drink menu and wine menu. The main thing that was different about the second night was that I was sat upstairs, which is totally different from downstairs. The lights are bright and the vibe is colder. Which is fine. But my server was much less attentive. No names here, but I had to flag him down and ask for things more often, whereas with Laura, she was always on it. And it wasn't busy upstairs. By the time I was sat, the few tables there had reached the end of their meal and were lingering.Anyway, overall this spot is pretty good. Good food, though not excellent. Nice cocktail program with varying flavor profiles, and I enjoyed them all. Service makes all the difference. With Laura, I would come back more than once. With the service the second time, I wouldn't go out of my way for sure.

Reservations are required!! The service was super great and the starter drinks were great too! My fiance and I only wanted to order Appetizers or small plates here so that we could eat more restaurants while we visited DC, but we stayed for the whole dinner because the appetizer was really good and the entrees did not disappoint. We will come back here again for sure. It was a walk away from our hotel Conrad, so I'm not going to mention parking this time. The vibe here was very nice with dim lights and plants, especially during the summer time. There are outdoor seatings here, and they do season specific menus, so maybe we will come by every season sometime.

**A Whimsical Christmas Eve Delight at Fig & Olive DC** On Christmas Eve, my husband and I found ourselves wrapped in the cozy, olive-oil-infused magic of Fig & Olive DC. It was the perfect way to start the holiday, and let me just say: this restaurant made our spirits brighter than a string of twinkling Christmas lights! From the first sip of our signature cocktails to the last sweet bite of dessert, every moment was pure holiday bliss. To kick things off, we toasted with their seasonal drinks--my husband had the *Riviera Old Fashioned* (a winter wonderland in a glass with hints of clove and cinnamon) while I savored the *Fall Into Fig* (a merry medley of fig vodka, pomegranate, and rosemary that could rival any festive punch). These paired perfectly with the Autumn Burrata, a creamy dream kissed by almond romesco and roasted cipollini. Our culinary sleigh ride continued with the Riviera Crostini, a delightful trio that felt like unwrapping little flavor presents. We also tried the Wild Mushroom Croquettes--crispy, decadent bites elevated by the black truffle aioli. They were so good, we considered requesting them as stocking stuffers. For mains, the *Atlantic Salmon Meunière* enchanted us with its delicate, crispy capers and silky cauliflower-chickpea purée. My husband claimed the *Roasted Brick Chicken* might be one of Santa's secret recipes; the salsa verde gave it an extra kick that made it unforgettable. And the dessert? Oh, holy night! The *Lemon Olive Oil Cake* and *Dark Chocolate Mousse* were nothing short of yuletide miracles. Light, luscious, and just sweet enough to make us feel like kids sneaking an extra Christmas cookie. To tie it all together, we shared a bottle of Falanghina wine that was as crisp and refreshing as a snowy December evening. It paired beautifully with the prix fixe menu, which felt like the gift that kept on giving. But what truly made the night magical was the staff. From the moment we walked in, their warmth and hospitality rivaled that of the North Pole elves. Attentive, kind, and absolutely brimming with holiday cheer--they turned a lovely meal into an unforgettable experience. If you're looking for a dining experience that feels like stepping into a Mediterranean Christmas card, Fig & Olive DC is the place to be. We left with full hearts, happy bellies, and a new holiday tradition. 5 stars, 12 out of 12 drummers drumming, and all the Christmas joy you can imagine!

I had a great time at Fig & Olive. The food was absolutely delicious. I had the wild mushroom croquettes, which I'll definitely get again. They paired beautifully with a glass of wine from their selection. The service was attentive and friendly, making sure we had everything we needed without being overbearing. The ambiance was relaxed with beautiful decor. Highly recommend this spot.
