Fedwings

This place is a chicken wings spot at the core. Smoked chicken wings to be exact. The wings are nice and slightly crisp on the outside and tender on the inside. These are the classic characteristics of traditional smoked chicken wings. The tenders on the other hand are good however not as crispy on the breading as I'd like. I believe they are trying to accomplish a soft breading which is OK however theirs is a different kind of soft breading resulting from the batter/flour and frying process. Borderline soggy. These tenders are very tender and would be exceptional if they'd change their flouring and frying technique. Overall a good chicken tenders that I'd purchase again when ordering chicken wings. I don't think I'd travel here exclusively for tenders.As far as sauces are concerned, I tried the Smokey Buffalo, Alabama White BBQ and Honey Mustard. Would like to have some traditional flavors available for the traditional palates. Overall a very good experience.

I just recd wings that were so dry I could not eat.....maybe they refried tenders but they were horribleSo, I tried to return to fedwings and itruns out they are being served through Kramer Books!!! Since I ordered through Uber Eats they said nothing could be done by them../Never mind I spent thirty minutelooking for fedwingsNO Signage! Nightmare

I just ordered from the Ballston location, and my wife and I thought the food was absolutely delicious (though my 5-year old didn't like the spice rub). We had some wings, a few difference sauces (garlic, white BBQ, Buffalo, and honey mustard), some strips, and some fries (seasoned potato wedges). All were great, but we especially liked the garlic and honey mustard dips. The wings, strips, and fries have (what the adults thought was) a great spice rub - savory and a little sweet. Will definitely order again.

I ordered a 20 piece and fries for delivery. These are literally the driest wings I've ever had in my life. The potato wedges were really good though. Maybe it was an off day but I'm bummed I wasted my money.

I am upgrading my review as these smoked wings are fire. Sauce always on the side, but these smokey wings are one of dc s best. I ordered take out and it was just as good as when I went in to get them. A must have for anyone who likes quality wings with some great sauce choices

Same great wings from Federalist pig. Easy pickup from Kramers. Wings were delicious. Sauces are all amazing - so far have tried the honey mustard, alabama white bbq, smoky buffalo and blue cheese, which I would rank in that order. Fries and cole slaw were also great additions to the meal!

This place is hidden. The wings were good. I totally enjoyed. Crunchy, tasty, goodness. I'll be back!

Amazing!! We got takeout from 14th, but YALL! Being from South Louisiana it is hard to be blown away by food. However, these were easily the best wings we have ever eaten. The Buffalo sauce was good, but the garlic one was a knock out. I'd love to try the white sauce next time. This is one of my top 3 in DMV.

Bummer. I was looking forward to trying these because their reputation precedes them. However, our pickup order of wings, tenders and fries was 10000% soggy and floppy. No crunch or texture to..well..anything in the order. We had to re cook them at home to make them even worth it. It's a pass from me.

Ordered from here for a much calmer and smaller scale New Years Eve. Really great! Smoked for 24 hours over hardwoods before flash frying and seasoning, these are fresh and larger sized wings and drumlets. Absolutely delicious and served with a choice of six dipping sauces. We got Buffalo and blue cheese.For the wing category, and irrespective of any pandemic, these are best of the area, hands down.
