We've been obsessed with this place since it had a stall at Union Market. We now order it for delivery all the time. Always packed very well and arrives hot. It's such a great value for the amount of food you get. If you're a fan of Mediterranean or Middle Eastern food broadly, this place will definitely scratch that itch. Our favorites are the following:1) Chicken kabob sandwich - chicken is delicious and not over seasoned like some other places. Very generous portion. The greens in the sandwich make this sandwich so fresh and not too heavy/meaty. And the yummy garlic sauce (not for the faint of heart)!2) Tzatziki - perfectly tart and yogurty. This pairs really well with the sandwich. Sometimes i wish it had less cucumber chunks. 3) Spicy Feta - perfect consistency. Always a nice addition.

It was okay. For $62, this restaurant is grossly overpriced. I know it's downtown DC, but if I'm ordering in my own on a kiosk, and there's no server (except a one-time food dropoff), I shouldn't be prompted with 3 tip options of 10%, 15%, and 20%. Still we left 10% on a $56.96 bill. We ordered two entrees, an appetizer, and two nonalcoholic beverages. The food was freshly made. The falafel balls were burnt and too stiff. The tzatziki side was a small portion and wildly oily. The tahini sauce tasted off. The koshary was all right but the macaroni threw me off. The staff member who dropped off the food was friendly and checked on our meal. I don't intend to return.

Adequate seating inside and outside for such a small restaurant. When you enter you can order for yourself at the kiosk and they will prepare your food. I ordered the apricot juice and it was very yummy. Expect that it's slightly thick but I don't mind that at all. I also order the chicken something that you see I. The picture there (I'm finishing this review months later). 10/10 on that. Would come back again.

Great Egyptian food in DC! Service can be a little slow even though I was the only one there at the time. You order at the kiosk and then wait for items to be ready. I got the Koshary as a staple Egyptian dish. Took me back to my trip to Cairo! Yum. Then the Kunafa which was a healthy portion size. Thought I'd save half for later but so good I finished it all! Comes with pistachios and honey on the side so you can drizzle on when ready to eat. Lots of cool Egyptian art and artifacts at the restaurant. Not sure if they had a restroom. Casual spot and good for takeout.

This restaurant felt very authentic to Egyptian culture and cuisine! The interior was small but the food came out within a few minutes so people were in and out pretty quickly. There were also few tables available outside for dining. Overall, the food was very flavorful! The spicy chicken bowl was my favorite! Lots of complex flavors, and definitely packed a punch! The hummus was delicious as well. I was not the biggest fan of the fava beans or the koshary, but I think it was my individual palate preference. Both were very well made, but a little too rich in flavor for my taste. The only con was that I I wish we got more than one piece of pita, as we had a lot of leftover dip. I would recommend fava pot to anyone looking to try a new and mouthwatering cuisine!

On a warm summer day, this mint and lemon iced beverage really hits the spot! Aside from the refreshing drink options, Flava is also home to one of the best Eygptian focused kitchens I've had the fortune to try.The Kafka platter was so well seasoned, each component of the dish has its own identity and marry well together. The ingredients are fresh and well balanced. Not to mention, the service was very friendly and welcoming. I needed helped with me with my order and the manager didn't hesitate to assist me. I highly recommend!!

This might be my new favorite spot for bowls, the bowls were so good. This restaurant is located in Dupont Circle, my friend and I ended up stopping here before going to a show at DC Improv. The inside of the restaurant is small with only 5 tables. I think they had outdoor seating too, but it was way too hot for that when we visited. You order from a tablet and they bring the food out to you. The service was fast, so you can get in and out quickly. I had the chicken kabob bowl and it was incredible. The rice and chicken were so flavorful. It also comes with a garlic sauce on the side that I used every last bit of it. Highly recommend if you want a really good and quick meal in DuPont.

I tried Fava Pot as take-out with some friends last night and was really happy with the experience! I ordered the liver bowl, which is not a cut of meat I typically like, but the description of the seasonings (pomegranate molasses, jalapeno, lime) sounded intriguing. I'm glad I did because it was delicious! It's served over rice with red onions and a zingy dipping sauce. My only reservation is that the pickled turnips and red onion in the menu description ended up being 1 tiny sliver of turnip and 3 tiny slivers of onion - I would have loved more than one bite to mix with all the excellent meat and rice. However, the meat was delicious (best liver I've had by far!), the flavors were unique, and the meat portions were very generous and made the price reasonable. My bowl was $16 and had more than enough meat for 2 large or 3 small meals. We also tried the bread pudding, Om Ali, which has puff pastry, nuts, and raisins. It was very good and worth a try for a different style of bread pudding, though I wish it had something (maybe a spice? Cardamom?) to add to the flavors a bit/contrast with all the milk and bread. But the textures were great and I still enjoyed it - it's a good portion and we split it between 3 people. I also sampled their spicy feta dip, which was solid, and the Fava beans, which weren't quite as good a texture as I would have hoped, but the flavors were very nice. The pitas taste more like a grocery store one than home-baked, but they work as a conduit for dips and spreads. Overall, it was pretty good across the board (3/5), and I'd say the liver bowl was the standout by far for me (4.5/5), though my friend said their falafel pita was also really good! I definitely want to come back to try their gollash, their desserts, and more bowls. I will say that I ordered for pickup at 5 and got a text at 4:35 saying my food was ready, which doesn't feel great to me - I got there at 5, which I hope doesn't mean the food sat out for almost half an hour from a food safety perspective, and then I still had a bus ride to my friend's place. I feel like within 10 minutes of a pickup window makes more sense - I couldn't run over and get it that far before the pickup time (and I also didn't want to eat at 4:35), so I will probably try to dine in or order to go in person next time to be safe. Still, it was a really positive experience overall and I'm glad to have tried this spot! Their baklava and kunafah looked worth a return trip alone.

When you walk in it is a small quant shop that gives off perfect Egyptian vibes. The food was top notch!!! The service was amazing. The owner was the kindest man and told me about the best food to get. It was as authentic as it comes. I highly recommend this place. I wish one was closer to us. I'd be there all the time.

Had takeout from Fava and ordered the vegan Koshari bowl. It was perfect. Also came with hot sauce to spice it up. Yum. Highly recommend.
