On my journey to find the best beef noodle soup, I stopped by this small mom and pop shop. A very small place supposedly serving up some very authentic Chinese food. We started with the Scallion Pancakes which were a hearty portion and very thick - not your typical thin flaky pancakes you normally get. The hot pot was not my favorite and would definitely pass on this. The noodles however were pretty good. They had a good chewy texture with a flavorful broth that was too spicy. Definitely a family owned spot with their service doing their best to make sure you are taken care of. Funny enough, the mom was trying to wait tables while helping her son with homework. Loved that! Decent neighborhood spot. Apps: Scallion PancakeEntrees: Spicy Beef Noodle Soup and Beef Hot Pot

I still go here for the food but just know the owner is really irritable and kinda mean. I usually just quickly order, don't make eye contact, and eat whatever they bring out, no questions asked. It's a little scary tbh.

Don't be fooled by the unassuming exterior and interior! Fahrenheit serves authentic Sichuan cuisine. It's not very big inside but dine in is available. Lots of foods but you can customize your spice level! They are known for their hot pot soup bowls, which has potatoes, noodles, veggies, fish balls, and a meat of choice (veggies, chicken, lamb, beef, or seafood) We also got the cold noodles and spicy Sichuan fish fillets. The cold noodles were really refreshing. The fish was a bit salty which obscured the spice a bit. They also have noodle soups and you can choose shaved, thick, or thin noodles. I'd come back next time if I'm craving some Asian comfort food!

Fun hot pot spot tucked under the basement of an office building! Lots of noodles and toppings to choose from! The #5 Garden Veggie Hot Pot loaded with veggies and soft tofu was fun to try and quite filling. While the unique glass wide noodles were charming, they were dense and bland and would have gone with another noodle choice - next time! I wish the broth was more flavorful. It would have been nice to have an extra plate or bowl to allow some of the veggies and noodles to cool off as the pot was scalding hot under the flame. Overall, I enjoyed the hot pot and impressed by the fresh veggies. The large fluffy Scallions Pancake was the highlight of our meal and between the 3 of us - we devoured it! Had a great time with friends and excited to come back!

This place has pretty decent food but falls short in a few areas. We ordered three things; some handmade dumplings to start off, beef hot soup, and bf got the chongqing spicy noodles. The dumplings were delicious and the spicy sauce that was made for us was just the right amount of spicy and salty. We couldn't really tell what kind of meat was in the dumplings after it was thoroughly seasoned with sauce and wrapped. Bf liked the spicy noodles, but there wasn't much in the bowl besides the noodles. He got mild and it wasn't super spicy. Maybe 2 tbsp of ground meat (which I can assume is beef?) -.5The beef hot soup did not have any description of the ingredients and we were digging exploring through it as we were eating. Definitely a negative. The items in the bowl just appeared to be piled on top of each other in no particular order (with a ton of bean sprouts at the bottom). Some reviews mentioned fish balls or meatballs--but this bowl did not include any. I feel like there should be some consistency and some fair assumptions when ordering an item on the menu. -1 Lastly, there didn't appear to be many people working on a Friday night (one very courteous host, and a cook in the back). As Friday nights tend to be the busiest, you'd think they have one person tending the in house guest while the other supports or helps in the back (just in case). The poor girl was running around taking to go orders, in house orders/running out to the table and basically running the restaurant by herself. We waited over 5 mins in a fairly full restaurant where the chef did not know how to cash out a check and an older lady did not acknowledge the guests in any manner. This poor management (not service) has reduced another .5 stars.

Don't let the negative reviews deter you. This is one of the best restaurants in the DMV. Amazing beef and seafood hot pots and mapo tofu. We're going to try the dumplings and regular noodle dishes next. Highly recommended.

When will you reopen? We miss your hot pot. It was so good, the broth and all the vegetables. When they re-open, I would highly recommend this place

Sad news - they are closed - we were here Thursday (2 days ago) and still have leftovers in the fridge. We came by today - Saturday - and it's an empty storefront. : (

Hidden gem. packs each bite with flavor. May have a wait, but worth your time. Portions are much larger than expected, as in multiple people can share each dish.
