I went to Eyo with a group of 5 and we were able to get seated immediately on a Saturday night at 7 pm. I got the Vegetable Combo and it was so good! I loved how it came with so many different varieties of things to try which were all very tasty

I stumbled on this place accidentally tonight. I was actually looking for a completely different Ethiopian restaurant. But, all things happen for a reason and I'm glad I found this place. The service was amazing. The girls working made sure that my water glass was always full (kind of a pet peeve if they don't) and that I was enjoying my meal. Even when I damn near hacked up a lung because I accidentally inhaled a piece of lamb instead of swallowing it, they ran to my aid to make sure I was good. Top notch! Now to the food-Excellent all around. I had the lamb tibs. The lamb was cooked perfectly-juicy, tender. Lots of great flavor. I highly recommend it. One of the ladies there asked me how I learned to eat with the injera instead of a fork like most white people. Gave me a chance to go down memory lane and talk about my first experiences with their cuisine. Kinda nice!I'll definitely be back!

5/10. First time having Ethiopian food. It was good. The food was a little cold but the sweet older gentleman brought out hot & fresh new dishes. Quick dinner service. Very tasteful. May try Ethiopian food again, but at a different restaurant. The ambiance was nice and tranquil.

Was recommended this place by one of my ethiopian friends as the best place to get authentic food and this recommendation did not disappoint. I wasn't sure what to expect when I saw this was a sports bar, but this isn't just typical bar food. They have the large TVs and a fully stocked bar to accompany delicious (and well priced!) Ethiopian food. For $15 my boyfriend and I split the veggie combo, which satisfied us both- if you are STARVING you would probably need a little more between two people but this served as a great dinner for us. The veggie combo was amazing with a ton of variety and different flavors to scoop up with the injera. Service was prompt and respectful, especially during COVID times. They were open for sit down seating (indoor only and there weren't many people inside) as well as takeout. If I'm back in this area I will definitely eat here again!

Went there Sunday with my wife, her mother, and two Aunts! Let me tell you something about Ethiopian food....it is yummy!!! We had the lamb tibs and chicken and all of the sides were flavorful and finger licking good!!!The enjara bread was so soft and spongy and soaked up all of the juices from the food. After dinner three of us got ginger and when they say ginger they mean ginger very strong and good for you! The other two got coffee and it was strong. The service from the sister's owner was amazing. I will return.Oh it's a black business too!!!

So I happened to stumble on the place. I was actually looking for A place to turn around. But I saw the window that said Ethiopian food and I decided to give it a try. At first it was quite difficult to figure out what to order. The menu didn't have any pictures. As I read the menu, I couldn't get a feel for the different flavors from reading the English descriptions. But I know each dish had to be different because the Ethiopian name for each dish was different. I ordered the lamb with something called injera. I couldn't understand the waitress very well and she offered me a rice or Injera to go with my lamb. I didn't know what N Jerrell was so I started off with rice. But then I figured, if I'm going to try something different I might as well eat what Ethiopians eat. So I change my order and asked for Injera with my lamb. The lamp came on a huge plate. Underneath the lamb was a soft, spongy, pancake like bread. Next to the plate was a rolled up pancake as well. The lamb was stewed with tomatoes and onion. In the corner of the plate was a peppery sauce that I think you dip your food in. The peppery sauce had a kind of earthy peppery taste that tasted pretty good. I noticed that there were no utensils that came with the food and I had a feeling that was the purpose of the rolled up pancake next to my meal. So I quickly googled "how to use Injera" so that I can watch a YouTube video and learn. You basically tear off smaller pieces of the bread and pick up the food on the plate with your fingers, careful to keep your fingers clean. This was my first time eating like this so I think the other patrons in the restaurant who knew what they were eating and seemed to know when to use utensils and went to use their fingers thought it was odd that I was videotaping myself using the Injera as my eating utensil this was my first time eating like this so I think the other patrons in the restaurant Must have thought it was odd for me to be videotaping myself using in injera. I think the waitress was quite surprised that I knew how to use the Injera. I Astor how I did and she said with a big smile that I was an expert. I was no expert and I'm sure everyone was looking at me with the word "tourist" flashing through their headsThe meal was quite feeling and the cubes of lamb were very soft and delicious. I really liked dipping my food into the peppery sauce that was different from what I am used to. All in all, it was worth $16 and I left the place feeling a lot fatter and content.

I recently took a trip to Falls Church, Va and stumbled upon this wonderful Ethiopian restaurant. From the waitstaff to the food, it was all amazing. So good in fact, I ate dinner there twice within 3days. I had Lamb Tibs for my first meal there and the Chicken Awaze for the next. Both equally delicious.I just cannot say enough good things about Eyo. I found it to be a very comfortable, welcoming environment. I wish it was closer to home. I definitely will look forward to visiting again next time I am in the area.

The food was good but customer service was very very badNo proper greeting ,talk for ever to come to ask if we needed anything and when they finally came the food took for ever to come.We had to ask for something missing almost every 2 minutes ,we didn't know who our waitress because each time we ask for something a different person would come including the owner and none of them was smiling.
