Here leaving a review because whoever didn't give this a 5 is a HATER!I almost didn't come here because of the review reflected and Iw as trying to go for something that would knock my socks off. I'm so happy that I chose Estuary! The service- impeccable. I'm a Museum Director here in the district and Hospitality career professional at large and I was nearly brought to tears. I was there for a first date which I made known in the reservation notes prior to attending. They paid attention to everything. From our beautiful seating to the welcome champagne toast and attentiveness of our server, Mark, everything was perfect. Mark deserves a raise or at least free shift meals of hi choosing. He walked my date to the bathroom, gave them solid feedback about us, came back and touched base with me too- perfection! The food was delectable, I ate it slowly which must be a newfound trait because that isn't my regular. The drinks!! As a former beverage director, I'm always extra particular about my drinks and they were perfect. Very happy I came here, perfect kick off to the year. I don't have photos of the food only because I was so consumed with consuming it at the time.

Located inside the Conrad Hotel, Estuary provided an elegant and stylish setting for our Valentine's Day dinner. Since it was a holiday, the restaurant offered a limited menu, which we knew going in, but we were still excited to try their offerings. The atmosphere was lively, despite the busy night, the service remained attentive and professional. We started the evening with a round of drinks while waiting for our appetizers. For appetizers, we decided to sample a few options: the Tuna, Crab Cakes, and Pork Belly. Each dish was well-executed, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. The Tuna stood out--it was fresh, perfectly seasoned, and had a great texture. The Crab Cakes were also delicious, packed with lump crab meat and minimal filler, while the Pork Belly was rich and flavorful. If I had to choose a favorite, though, the Tuna would take the top spot. Moving on to the main course, the limited menu meant fewer choices, which was a bit disappointing. I opted for the Fried Chicken Sandwich, while my date went with the Amish Chicken. My chicken sandwich was fantastic--crispy, juicy, and full of flavor. Every bite was satisfying, and I'd order it again. Unfortunately, my date's Amish Chicken didn't hit the mark. The seasoning was lackluster. He really didn't enjoy it.

The Conrad Hotel is home of Estuary.Almost 6 years old and I've never left a review. City Center is literally behind the hotel and if you're out shopping, sure there are plenty of great restaurants to dine at but Estuary is a hidden gem nestled inside this gorgeous hotel in walking distance. Upon entry of the hotel you proceed to the right and take the elevator up to the restaurant. You'll be greeted with city views and architecture that is amazing. Ambiance is giving modern, upscale luxury. Estuary is my go-to with my girls if we are out shopping. They have couch seats which are comfortable after walking around in heels at CC. Plus they valet and it's easier to just park here, shop, and eat. Saturday Date Night, he picked this place, and luckily it was restaurant week! He's not a fan of restaurant week, but he agreed! Let's Get Into It! Appetizer: Maryland Blue Crab Cake - Delicious - A must try!Main Entree: Grilled New York Strip - DeliciousChesapeake Rockfish - Delicious Old Bay Fries - LOVED them!Dessert: Chocolate Bar and Mango Sorbet - LOVED! Drinks: My Favorite - City Center Clouds They change their drink menu and also their regular menu from what I remember the dozen times I've come. 4 stars because bar service is never consistent. Some bar tenders give you bar snacks and others don't. We had to ask for them on our recent visit on 2/1 when patrons near us were provided with them without asking. If I come sit down, it should be an immediate smile, hello, placement of menu, placement of bar snack and then a conversation. Some bar tenders are not friendly. I'm in your home, make me feel welcome. Make me want to spend money. Pre- Occupied and short in conversation is off putting. Service for the most part is great! Fine Dining- YES! Ladies you can go dressed up or down and will fit in.A win for me and once service becomes consistent, it will be a 5 star for me!

Inside the amazing Conrad Hotel, Estuary is an upscale restaurant that's a little eclectic with standard tables along with couch and high back chair dining options. The contemporary flow matches the hotel perfectly. We started at the bar which is definitely a vibe all on its own. It sits in the middle of the restaurant and is massive. Once it was time to eat, we were seated at a traditional table, which was fine with me, because the cool looking dining options also comes with doing a lot of bending down.. I'm good on that..LOL!Without knowing, Estuary was participating in Restaurant Week, which hasn't been my thing for a few years now. Normally, they just don't offer what I want. Surprisingly enough, they had pretty decent options but the catch is, if one person ordered from the restaurant week menu, you both have to order from it. I went with the NY Strip and she picked the Rockfish. Both were very very good. For appetizers, we both got the crab cake, which were delicious! Our individual sized desserts were also good. Service was great and if the regular menu had a few more options, I would put Estuary in my regular dining rotation, so may I suggest adding lamb chops and charbroiled oysters.. hey, just a suggestion..LOLValet is extremely reasonable $14, which CANNOT be beat, especially at a DC 5 Star Hotel.Estuary is a 4.5 star experience, hopefully someday Yelp will give us the .5 option, because Estuary is definitely better than a 4! :)

Located in The Conrad Hotel, this elegant dining experience met my expectations. Service was impeccable- from the host stand to all the servers, I expected nothing less. The crabcake appetizer was filled with lump crab meat, the steak was cooked to perfection, the rockfish over succotash was a pure delight. The crispy skin on the rockfish was complimented by succotash which consisted of baby corn, sweet peas, and no lima beans. Vegan ice cream and flourless chocolate cake finished off the meal. There's selection of bourbon as well as wines is some of the best in the city . City views abound with the floor to ceiling windows.

The in-house restaurant of the Conrad, the Estuary offers a variety of dishes for breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner. The restaurant is located on the third floor of the hotel and is very big and spacious. There is a outside dining area open in late spring, summer and fall and offers great views of the city. I came for brunch every morning and for dinner twice. Everything I ordered was delicious - lox bagel with an egg, avocado toast with bacon, fresh fruit, coffee, the Estuary burger (room service) and the steak and fries. Great place to dine and relax, with the bar also located on the other side of the restaurant.

Great and attentive service.Ambiance is next level. Dim lighting, comfortable seats and good audio environment.3rd floor of the hotel.Valet is validated by the restaurant: $14 for the duration of your mealThe prickly pear mocktail was tangy, unique and delicious. $14. Prosecco was good. They have sparkling or still water options ofCourse.Relatively small portions, however, I was satisfied with the risotto portion. The risotto was flavorful with a nice texture. I didn't care for one of the green garnishes that were on it, as it tasted too earthy/bland for me compared to the rest of the dish.Interesting dessert options.

The atrium outside Estuary is quite stunning - a beautiful, large open space with a pretty incredible ceiling. Even if you don't eat at the restaurant, it's worth checking out the atrium.Since we showed up last minute (around 8:30pm) without a reservation, we were seated at the bar in the lounge, which was quite posh and swanky. This might be one of the nicest lounges we've ever been to. The service was absolutely incredible. Usually, one of the downsides of sitting at the bar is that the bartenders are constantly busy making drinks and filling drink orders, but not here - the service was exceptional: attentive, helpful, and beyond friendly. We had a couple of starters. The bluefin tuna was fresh, perfectly seasoned, with the right accompaniments to really enhance its flavor. This was beautifully executed, though a bit expensive at $27 for 4 slices about the size you'd get on a piece of nigiri. The endive and radicchio salad was probably one of the best salads I've ever had. Crunchy, fresh, and slightly cool endive and radicchio leaves, perfectly dressed with an umami-rich anchovy dressing. The croutons were lightly crunchy and so buttery and rich. For the mains, we had the rockfish and the scallops. The rockfish was wonderfully seared with a nice crisp bottom. It was served atop some baby corn, snap peas, and roasted tomatoes, with a corn broth poured table side. It was delicious and fresh. The scallops were perfectly cooked with a beautiful brown crust and still medium rare, but warm on the inside. They were sweet and succulent - absolutely delicious!Overall, the food was really great. It's a bit on the pricey side, though I suppose it has become more expensive to eat out in general. This is a fun place to enjoy a bit and people watch, though just be aware that it's quite posh - everyone was in a suit, though I'm sure that's not mandated by dress code.

This restaurant, located in Conrad Hilton (hotel near City Center DC), is wonderful! My fiancé and I went for breakfast here for two days straight (we were on a staycation), and they did not disappoint! Michelin star, luxury service, and all American fare proved to be fresh and convenient for us. Food: Anytime that we needed any additional items from the menu, it arrived at our table within 5-10 minutes. Honorable mentions: omelette, applewood bacon, buttermilk pancakes, chicken sausageAmbiance: Very clean, very modern and spacious! The hotel throughout uses Byredo products, and there's a clean smell of incense and ambergris that wafts through the air.You can see DC from the restaurant, from City Center's stores to the pre lit trees and street corners. This place fills up to capacity on the weekends for breakfast and brunch, so reservations are recommended for dining. Go try it out--you will not be disappointed!!!

We stayed at the Conrad and came down to the bar. Brennan was an excellent bar tender and the drinks were amazing. We drank from their cocktail menu; Deceptive Fall, Mount Pleasant Market, Fire Highlands and Air & Space. Would definitely recommend the drinks and the service.
