I recently checked out this Black-owned Wine bar, and it was a whole vibe! From their curated wine selection to their delicious snacks and small plates, everything was top-tier. Shoutout to Jarell, our amazing server, his knowledge of the menu made our experience even better! We had the lamb sliders, tandoori wings, and the crostini flights. The dessert was delicious. I can't wait to come back for brunch or dinner!

Very nice and upscale looking establishment. Though Era is a wine bar, it does look the part of a proper dining venue.Myself and a friend made a stop here on a Saturday evening after hanging at another nearby establishment. We were greeted by a friendly host and opted to sit at the bar. Our Bar Host was equally friendly and very outgoing (wish I could remember her name). She made suggestions in terms of what we might consider ordering which was helpful. We ultimately chose wine flights and a couple small bites (bars). The food was very good and so was the wine. Somehow, I ended up ordering a pecan pie for dessert which I didn't need but was also delicious. All in all, this was a great experience and I would be really happy to go back.Side note, Era wasn't particularly crowded when I got there. I'm not sure if the "word" has officially gotten out about Era, but I do hope that more people patron this wine bar as it is really great.

I really enjoyed my time here at Era wine bar. We had a birthday dinner here and it was fantastic. They had a small quite little room in the basement and we had it all to ourselves. Hors d'oeuvres were delicious. I really enjoyed my seared Atlantic salmon. It had a Brazilian spice and mango salsa on top with some basmati rice. The lamb sliders were pretty good. They had cucumber and red onion andTzatziki on it that paired well.

Era Wine Bar is black-owned + 5 min away from DC. So darling. I went for brunch on 3/17 but I would love to see what dinner is like. Ambiance: Suede seats, huge windows, elegant details. I thought Era was a newer restaurant because it was on the quieter side. The Estate Riesling I had paired so well with my food. I was surprised that our host gave us no recommendations on wine pairings. A bit disappointing. Highlights: Salute! Charcuterie board: Smoked mozzarella, black pepper pecorino, gorgonzola dolce, Prosciutto, bresaola, trufle salami, House marinated olives, Lambrusco wine jelly, Rosemary focacciaDELICIOUS. I could taste how much time went into selecting everything. I'm a big Lambrusco fan, and was so excited for the jelly -- delicious! Southern Shrimp & Grits Era Wine Bar literally made me enjoy grits (I usually dislike the consistency). SO flavorful!!The Grand Cru Burger 8 oz. Creekstone Farms Angus Beef, Cabernet braised mushrooms, caramelized onions, white cheddarPretty good, could've been seasoned more. The egg paired well with the sesame bun. I didn't enjoy the Strawberry Shortcake waffle or the French toast unfortunately. Both needed more sugar, I loved the presentation though. The waitress had no problem with us returning the Strawberry Shortcake waffle but also didn't ask if we wanted to order something in its place? I'm definitely coming back, but I would love a server who interacted with us more + gave recs. I read other reviews where the servers were very inviting.

Era Wine Bar is a fine gem that showcases rare and unique wines in a very fun setting! Their wines range from all over the world and vary in many different types, including many from countries that one doesn't typically obtain wine from in a normal store/wine bar. They offer wine from Macedonia or Bulgaria: case in point! The service is pleasant and their charcuterie, cheese boards, and desserts are really delicious!

I'm way over due for writing a review for Era. I've been a regular for over a year now. It truly is one of my favorite places. The ambiance, the food, and the company are all top-tier. The service is outstanding and it is consistently this way every time. Owners Ka-ton and Michelle along with supporting staff are absolutely wonderful. What sets Era apart is not only its fantastic ownership but also its commitment to being a successful Black-owned business. The wine selection is unparalleled, offering a range of options to suit every palate. It's a haven for wine enthusiasts! Not to mention, the food is absolutely delicious. One of my favorite small bites are the shrimp crostinis!Era Wine Bar is truly a local gem , and I can't recommend it enough.See you soon!

There's a very ambitious, curated wine menu here, along with a curious food menu.I appreciate the attention to details and friendly service.Came to get a drink after work, ended up staying for dinner. Enjoyed two flavorful red wines: one from Bulgaria and another from Italy. Ordered samosas, lamb sliders, and sorbet with prosecco; found the meal to be pretty tasty.Upscale and surprising addition to the neighborhood, just over the DC border, on Route 1.Quality, sophisticated, not inexpensive.

I'm happy I randomly came across this place. A friend and I met here for lunch on a Sunday and we were both very pleased with the experience. We came at about 3:30 so parking was very easy. It's just metered street parking.Upon coming in, I was quickly greeted by the host who informed me that the kitchen opens at 4pm as he escorted me to a table. It was empty when I arrived but quickly started to fill up around 4:30. Since it's a wine bar, they had a wide variety of selections with the option of a glass or bottle. When my friend arrived, the host who was also our waiter walked us through the wine menu. I saw that they had a wine flight selection that I'll have to try for the next time. For the table we ordered truffle fries and samosas (2 pieces). Both were tasty! I'd highly recommend the samosas though! For the entrees, my friend ordered the mussels which came as a fairly generous portion. I ordered the salmon which was good, but didn't necessarily 'wow' me. I was informed that it comes medium so I ordered it a bit more well (just my preference). The rice potion was smaller than I thought it would be but it helped in the end because I didn't feel stuffed. I couldn't leave without getting dessert so I ordered the chocolate mousse cake. I have to say that I am not a mousse kind of gal but I love chocolate- maybe it's the texture. Anyway, I was pleasantly surprised at how delicious the cake was. It was the perfect balance of sweetness where it wasn't bitter but also not torturously sweet. Overall, I quite enjoyed my experience here. The food was good, service was great, the inside was beyond aesthetically pleasing and it's the perfect vibe for a chill meal and drink. I highly recommend this spot!

Visited last week and let me say-- I'm so glad to finally have a good wine bar close by. I didn't have one wine I didn't love. They have a great variety of wines and have a good amount on the by the glass menu available in 3 oz pours. The white wine (forgot the varietal) from Ridgeback Vineyards in Paarl, SA was my favorite. Soft music-- great selection, cute aesthetic. For dinner, I had the burger for my entree and the Cabernet braised mushrooms really set it off. I could have gone without the truffle fries. Potatoes lacked flavor and the Parmesan was just sitting on top. Recommend using a truffle oil for a light coat and grated Parmesan for more adherence. The cheesecake had great flavor but could have been colder. Service was impeccable. Every staff member was attentive, Samaj was our server and was great--attentive, made good recommendations, etc. Just a great experience overall. I might try the food again off the strength of the burger but I'd come here for the wine over and over again and try the charcuterie as well.

I visited Era Wine Bar for brunch and the space is absolutely beautiful. They have a bar area, couch style tabling, and regular table options. The staff are very friendly and inviting, and they are very knowledgeable on wine. We started off with their meat and cheese plate, and ordered a bottle of Aslina (one of my favorites). The plate was delicious with Italian meats and cheeses, focaccia bread, olives, and jam. Next we shared the crostini and fries. All of the food was good, but we really enjoyed the vibe the most. We also found out that they have a wine membership giving you access to the cellar in the basement whenever the bar is open and when they do not have a private event. I also loved the open outside patio as well. It would be great for the summer to enjoy some wine outside. Overall, a great spot and we will definitely be returning soon.
