Got to visit the newly renovated Emissary to try out their dinner menuFirst of all, loved the big bar and dim lighting of the restaurant. It felt very intimate, yet fun with an upbeat playlist of hits in the background. Now for the food. The menu was so diverse and I loved that there was a fusion of mediterranean, latin & italian flavors in the dishes. Service was immaculate! Waiter changed our plates & silverware multiple times & came back frequently!Cocktails All the cocktails were so aesthetic & delicious and I realty enjoyed the A mor a la Mexicana cocktail. The espresso martinis were also made with Colombian coffee & had the perfect balance of a strong coffee taste & the sweetness of the creamy foamCold Cuts- Burrata, roasted heirloom tomatoes, charbroiled iceberg lettuce: the grilled lettuce was unique & crunchy and of course loved the olive oil, tomato & burrata combo!- Grilled provolone, sweet garlic, shallot and cherries confit: The cheese was so warm and stringy, the garlic/shallot in the dish were aromatic & the homemade bread was crunchy and delicious (wish it came with more bread though!!)Sea food- Gnocchi, Gorgonzola, octopus, heirloom tomato: Cheese was creamy & rich & the octopus wasn't tough (love that!)- Mussels marionette, Parmesan fries: one of my favs, loved the garlicky flavor & the mussels were huge!!Meat & poultry- Slow cooked crispy pancetta, shrimp, coliflor purée, cilantro oil: Unfortunately I just didn't really enjoy this dish. The meat was too tough to cut but the coliflor purée wasn't bad Earth & herbs - Tagliatelle, mushroom ragú truffle, Parmesan: couldn't believe this was vegan!! Fun take on bolognese with mushrooms instead of meat, delicious- Rigatoni alla vodka: obvi a classic dish but they made it well!Sweets- Manchego cheesecake, raspberry jam, crocante: instead of a traditional creamy cheesecake, it was salty! The raspberry fruit added a nice tartness as well- Dulce de leche crepe with vanilla ice cream: Wow this was soo good. The carmelized flavor crepe was incredible & the ice cream from Sarah's handmade ice cream was so rich and added a nice coldness to the soft crepe

Still early days and not a full menu at the moment. They are serving coffee, pastries, and breakfast sandwiches at the moment. Sad to see the old Rapha store no more and sad to see that bicycle shop is no more either. The bar area looks cool and it almost as cool as emissary P st backbar. Looks to be a cool place to hang at the bar for a drink or two.

We went here for a late lunch while shopping in Georgetown. We walked right in. There were maybe two other customers there working on laptops. We ordered the ribeye steak sandwich. The bread is made in house and was just a little tough for the sandwich. The steak was deep fried in a batter and was very tender. I think I would have liked it better with a lighter bread. It was a little awkward of an environment as we were basically the only customers there. Our waiter didn't hover but also wasn't super attentive. He more stalked us while we ate. Overall it was not a bad experience. I think the coffee bar is their specialty and would probably get a better experience that way.

I've only tried the almond croissant and chocolate chip cookie and they bother were mouthwatering. I met Jose a few weeks before they opened and saw him again on opening day. He's super nice and I'm sure the service of the staff will equate. The ambiance has a hip and clean vibe. I work across the street, so I'm excited for this new addition for morning coffee and looking forward to after work happy hour!

5 five of us turned up for happy hour. I cannot believe that, bar one other person, we were the only customers for the evening. For a place that was empty, the ambiance was excellent, the food was very good - between us the octopus, rib sandwich, eggplant parmigiana, pasta buccantini meatballs, spaghetti con vongole and the bread pudding were all excellent. Melvin was a wonderful barman/maitre di.Definitely recommend you try this restaurant while you can.
