Elizabeth Pupuseria & Deli offers pupusas, tamales, and even a hot bar where you can create your own combos.We stopped by to pick up some cheese pupusas, a chicken tamale, and an arroz con leche. The pupusas are all handmade, and they were cheesy and tasty; I just wished it was a little greasier with some crispiness.The arroz con leche was served extra hot; you can request the amount of cinnamon sprinkling on top, and I recommended getting a generous amount of it!Staff were very friendly!There is a table inside with 4 chairs, but there's also an enclosed 'wrap-around' patio with additional seating. If you are looking for a hole in the wall Salvadoran spot with the best pupusas you can get for $2.50, then look no further! We stumbled upon Elizabeth Pupusería & Deli by chance one afternoon in the summer and have been back several times. It is pretty inconspicuous and is definitely a no-frills restaurant, but I promise it is well worth it! There is not really a menu and the workers primarily speak Spanish, but they are really kind and I have always been able to communicate effectively enough to order what I want. The hot dishes are also on display in a hot food case, so you can just point if you need to. Everytime I have gone I have gotten the same four flavors of pupusas: bean, cheese, jalapeno + cheese, and beef. My favorite is the jalapeno + cheese, but all of the options are excellent. They are also served with fresh curtido and a salsa-type sauce--both are absolutely delicious. I have brought several friends here and they are always blown away by how tasty the pupusas are, especially considering the price.Overall, I would highly recommend giving Elizabeth Pupusería & Deli a try!

Local and authentic Pupusería. $6 for 2. Fresh and made to order, lots of options but I went with just bean and cheese and cheese. Service was friendly and fast. The restaurant is small on the inside but there's a pretty large outdoor covered patio. Definitely recommend and would be interested in their other offerings.

I love right one block from here and I walk by all the time. I've been to many pupuserias around the DMV. For pupusas, this is the best in my opinion. The freshness and flavor was incredible. The ladies were all super amable! I can't say enough good things about Elizabeths. I will come in and try the other foods, they even had some really good looking pigs feet that I look forward to trying along with all of the asadas and guisadas. You've found a permanent customer !
