Last minute looking for a bar after the night didn't go as planned. The bartenders didn't speak English so it was hard to order our drinks and dinner, is the only complaint. Order 3 tacos but got a taco salad instead, because I can't eat rice couldn't enjoy the meal. I'd recommend the drinks return.

So this lil place!!! I went here randomly looking for tacos and a few beers! I was pleasantly surprised when I came in on a rainy Thursday night. Walking up I could hear the music and that let me know we were about to have a good time! When we walked in everyone kinda looked over with the hmmmm face!!! Lol! One of the servers welcomes us and let us choose a table! We sat and watched as people dance and the bachata music came from the DJ booth! We ordered Fried tacos ,chicken wings,& and a round of Modelo's!!! The people around us were clearly enjoying themselves as we bounced and wiggles in our seats to the music! My sister ordered chips and salad then added some quest! Well queso just what she got!! Lol a small plate of shredded cheese!! Ahahah of course we giggled! The fri d tacos took a lil bit to come out but that was fine due to the atmosphere! It was lively and the patrons were smiling. I think they were enjoying us as much as we were them! When my fried tacos came out the wee fresh and hot! My bff said the same about her chicken. Fried tacos super yummy! They were a bigger version of taquitos! Shredded beef on the inside, the meat on the inside was soft and flavorful! The meat at the end was churn he and full of flavor! It was served on a bed of lettuce and sprinkled with cheese, sour cream and some sort of red sauce. My BFf said the chick was good!! She didn't get an type of flavored chicken just plain. An they must have been because she tore them up. She said the flavor was on point and she would def eat them again! All in all I will most definitely make stop in here the vibe was cool, they even had armed security! We were group of ladies Out for a late nights snack and we felt safe! I look forward to Trying more times on the menu with a repeat of fried tacos!! ** some guy even brought us a round of beers***

OK, so this place is not much to look at from the outside. It is located in a very dated shopping center next to a Latino grocery store. The interior is pretty barren too, with minimal décor and functionary seating. My co-workers often show up with take-out from here, and when I saw their quesadillas, I knew I must get one for myself. They didn't even know the name of the place, only that it said 'Chicken and Ribs' above the door. They have no take-out menu or website. So I ventured here one day after school.I was not disappointed! Their shrimp quesadilla ($10.95) is delicious! It is super cheesy and is filled with chunks of shrimp. I ate 3/4, and I was full. They serve it with plenty of salsa, sour cream, guacamole, and lettuce. It was well worth the price, which isn't cheap compared to all the taquerias in a two mile radius of this place.I think this place must have an active nightlife scene. I was there at 3pm and there were already two men drinking at the bar! It looks life it serve as a nightclub on the weekends since they are open late into the night.I finally found a place near my school that is worth visiting time and time again, although it will be mainly for take-out.

I have come eat at El Sitio 7+ times already and I love, love, LOVE their chicken nachos. I came here today (2/23) and noticed that their menus changed a bit, no biggie, but the service was not the same today. From the start, there was something missing. My husband pointed out that the server didn't bring chips and salsa like they normally do, bummer They brought out our food and that was the last time the server came over to check on us. When we were done, our server was eating food and had to clean herself before going over to us. Again no biggie, but then we saw chips and salsa being served to other people. I didn't even bother to ask why no chips and salsa was given to us. Other than that, the food was good and the service is normally okay, with the exception of today.

Was really disappointed with this one.. Though service was great, food not so much. Several items weren't available and they substituted my friend's order with a completely different dish... because they didn't have that item. I didn't exactly enjoy my order either.. it was really bland.

This place was yummy!! It doesn't look like much from the outside but who cares? The staff are friendly and the food is authentic and delish. I ordered the Shrimp Mixta with grilled peppers and onions and the grilled chicken salad which came in a tasty crispy shell. Sooo good! I will be sure to take pics next time.

I ended up at Samlina after bailing out of rush hour traffic on the way to downtown dc...I had been craving subs all day, so an adventure into an unknown Mexican restaurant in Riverdale didn't ease my nerves at first. But when we opened the door, everything turned around. The place isn't fancy, but has a warm and fun vibe thanks to soccer posters, tempting beer ads, a HDTV, and an oceanfront mural on the walls. We ordered, and got to enjoy some crispy chips and fresh salsa while we waited. Then the food came. I got an appetizer combo -- yucca fritters that redefined for me what "Golden Brown and Delicious" could truly be, fried pork belly, and cheesy pupusas. Entirely delicious and very satisfying. A friend from Southern California (where good, authentic Mexican food is a required staple) got the chicken fajitas and loved them. And our other friend got the chicken, which was near perfection with its fully seasoned savory meat, supple tenderness, and nice char courtesy of the last-second finish on the grill. Everything was delicious, and blew our expectations out of the water. Venture out here, and get ready for a meal full of smiles.

I visited Samlina recently and the food was like something you'd get from those ads "cook Mexican using Campbells' soup." Not bad food, just rather bland. The salsa tasted like tomato soup w/ a bit of onion and cilantro in it and my shrimp in tomato sauce was much the same. Beans and rice were ok, but the beans tasted like they came out of a can. Don't know that I'd go there again on my own but if I was with other people who wanted to eat there, it would be ok. Again, not bad food, just nothing worth going out of your way for.
