I was looking for a vegetarian place while I was in the area and came across this restaurant. They have some curries and sandwiches, but the food is more street food style. I got the jetty roll and my husband got a curry. Both were really good. Mine was like a breakfast burrito with a curry sauce mixed in. Even though it didn't have a chili pepper picture next to the dish it was still spicy. The decor reminded me of a burger joint. They had these red and yellow style chairs that are like ketchup and mustard. They also have modern Bollywood songs playing which were fun to listen to.Overall we enjoyed it and I want to come back to try the sandwiches.

Located in Gaithersburg this is an Indian chain for street food. The store is an open space with quirky funny signs and images around the restaurant. It feels like being in a canteen! The food is spicy and delicious. Make sure you get some lassi to go with the food because your stomach will be warm for a while! We got the chicken masala sandwich, the jetty roll, chole samosa chaat and mango lassi!

Let me just start by saying I am no connoisseur to what Indian "street food" is, so I was willing and did try a couple of things I might normally not have. They had "Happy Hour" pricing for their cocktails and beer when we got there ($8 vs $12). I tried the kachcha aam drink and friend got Mexican Mango Mule. The waiter did warn that both their popular cocktails (kachcha aam and bebo ka nasha) were acquired tastes, with the former being sweeter than the latter. I did not like the kachcha aam: it felt like I was drinking a green Mountain Dew that had cumin and tajin and spices all up in it and my face puckered like Jim Carrey in The Mask every.single.time I drank that thing. The butter pan bhaji (we asked for mild) had the biggest spicy "kick" of all the dishes. I didn't understand why the butter had already firmed and coagulated before arrive and it made it look slightly unappetizing. I thought we were going to have buns with said contents inside but the buns came on the side. The paneer angara had a good flavor but lacked paneer; there were Maybe 6 pieces.Butter naan was also good, but it got crunchy and hard almost immediately after it was set on our table. The desi kheema (we asked for mild) was def was Not my thing and I do love eggs. I cannot tell you what the flavor combination ended up being, but I will say my derriere was not enthusiastic either at the end of the evening.Things I would've appreciated: (1) Cold water and not 'straight from the tap' room temp water; (2) a check-in from a waiter would've been nice. At one point, I was literally waving my hands in the air from side to side (like I just don't care) to get their attention and there were 3 male employees just standing at the bar chit-chatting; (3) an emailed or printed receipt would've been nice because the waiter decided to recite the entire bill verbally as other customers were next to us- awkward? The place was clean and spacious but very quiet for a weekday dinner.I do have to admit that though they are next to India Bazaar, they are just not in the greatest shopping center.Ultimately, this is not my jam, sorry.

Egg mania is the latest restaurant in that corner space/ venue next to the Indian grocery store. In the last 10 years or so, this is the 3rd restaurant to open here and I hope they are successful. Went here twice in the last 2 weeks. They serve mostly Indian street style food. We didn't try any of the egg dishes. The chicken sandwiches we tried were all good. None of the kabob items on the menu were available coz they had just opened the week before. The restaurant has sufficient space. The service is ok, most of the serve ware is disposable. The place is noisy coz of no sound proofing and the concrete walls just bounce of the sounds. I tried the chicken peri sandwich - spicy, my kiddo has the chicken masala sandwich which comes with mayo so it wasn't too spicy. We also tried the Samosa chat and chicken kheema ( ground chicken) masala. All the sandwiches come on toasted buttered white bread , so it was delicious , but ? on the health aspect but who cares! The mango lassi was delicious. The chocó rajwadi is a rich thick chocolate smoothie. This is a quick affordable eatery

Dropped in around 7 pm on a Friday (last time at 9 pm they were slammed and had a one hour backlog).Modern interior furnishings, several TVs, one set to Bollywood, one to cricket, one to sport and another to American shows.Ordered three items, which were delivered speedily. In the pictures they look small but turned out to be quite filling (perhaps an effect of the rice?). The spice level hit more than expected but I suspect it could have been made heavier: had to top up my water a few times!I'm not sure the price is in the "I'd go here a lot" mark (though I may be more used to Midwest prices) but it's definitely quite good

LOVE this place! I've been multiple times now, and specifically love the Butter Pav Bhaji and Volcano Biryani. First time I went, I brought my buddy who happens to be vegan. Luckily, they were extremely accommodating when removing butter from some of the otherwise only vegetarian items, so my friend could enjoy as well. Staff is friendly and attentive, and remembered me and my love of spice each time I came in. I live about 20 minutes away now, and wish they'd been open when I lived down the street! Always happy to take the trek, though.Tried the Maniac Curry at the same time as the Volcano Biryani when I went with another spice lover, and honestly felt the Biryani was a little hotter. Both delicious, though!

Very tasty food. Very attentive service. Spacious dining area with fun desi puns. The food is typical Indian street fare with buttery gravies. This time we started with the Dabeli that was perfectly sweet and spicy. I tasted the Misal pav, which was good and spicy but a bit different from Puneri or Kohlapuri Misal in India. I thoroughly enjoyed the Desi Ghotala which was creamy and spicy and served with toasted bread and chapati. Very comforting on a cold day. The herby, lemony shikanji drink on the side really helps balance the spice levels. The host thoroughly rechecks your order to ensure there are no mistakes and also checks for any split payments or boxes needed.

Food is amazing! Loved the butter Pav Bhaji and volcano biryani. The Pav is pretty spicy but very delicious! The mango lassi was also really good - not overly sweet. Everything was super fresh and made to order. Will definitely be back!
