Used to actually kinda like this place. I forgot how much walking up them stairs sucked. I was here recently and it was just blah! It was for Reggae on the Roof. They had "open bar" for an hour - pretty much just rails. Even the non rail drinks weren't that good. The bartenders didn't seem like they even wanted to be there. I just wasn't feeling the vibe here. It got packed very quickly and there is no room to enjoy yourself to be honest. There are no restrooms on the rooftop level. They're co-ed by the way and when I went in, the bathroom attendant was a guy. I believe in gender equality, but it felt creepy because it's super dark and he was just standing right outside the stall I went into.Ehh! If this place closed, I won't miss it!

Tip: Ladies! (and/or gents), wear your flats here! You'll need to climb 4 steep flights of stairs to get to the airy rooftop. It's a popular place to rent out for groups/parties, too. Each level of the club has different DJ's, depending on the weekend. Low-lit with neon lights in catchy blues and greens that go with the "eden" theme. It's a sleek design -- though not always the cleanest (watch for spills, so again with the flats or something you can walk in!). I especially like the music from the DJ's on the top floor; good beats mixed in with hip-hop. The rooms are a bit narrow. You're bound to do some bump and grinding... or moreso, the bumpin. On the night that I went, they were also offering free shots from a "dancing bear." (see pic). Standard bar drinks; more liquor options than beer.If you don't come before midnight, cover is usually high $20. Sign up online for free cover!

We tried Eden for a Friday night dance party. Not a great night. I'm awarding a second star for a couple very specific reasons. The bartenders were nice. They smiled (a skill sadly lacking in their industry in DC) and they didn't charge us for water. What a shock. The DJs played some good music, mixed in with some really horrible music. Some good music is better than no good music, which is what we often hear at other dance events. The floors are okay for dancing. We weren't charged a cover, or they just missed us. That's all the good news.Eden is a run down hole trying way too hard to be a Miami hot spot. If you go, try counting all the little velvet ropes. They have bottle service, which exists as far as I can tell only so that people with no importance can purchase a sense of some. If you ever see me inside a little area cordoned off by velvet ropes with a $$$$ bottle of vodka on ice, please kill me. News flash to management: roping off sections does not create an aura of exclusivity. It projects an attitude of indifference, or worse, that I'm a bother. If you want me to feel like you don't want me to come to your business, you're doing great.DJs: Pay attention to the dancers. When you play crappy music, we stop dancing. While I have your attention, take a note: turning the music up does not make it better, does not "get the party started" and does not in any other way improve your performance. On the contrary, cranking it to 11 makes it clear that you are out of touch with your audience. Like parents who spank, it tells us you're out of options. Lastly, lacing together songs at a dance event is a mistake. We need to know when to switch partners. It's embarrassing to stop dancing before a song stops and rude to hang onto a partner for multiple songs, so when you hide breaks between songs you make us feel like idiots. Save that DJ crap for club nights and give us what we need to dance well. We are performing too, you know.Back to management: Hire some cleaners. Buy some decent furniture. Put some lights in the stairwells before somebody gets hurt. Fire the bathroom attendant. We all know how bathrooms work and it feels like a shakedown just to pee or wash our hands. You may think it's swanky but nobody wants a bathroom attendant. To all your customers it says, "We've figured out another way to get money from you for something you don't want".In short, this place is a trailer park in a tuxedo tee-shirt. It wouldn't take much to improve it, but the little things that are lacking make big differences. I'll find other places to dance.

We walked up the first flight of stairs on a brisk Sunday. As I looked to the right during the second flight, I saw some guy standing in the doorway. I wasn't too sure what he was doing or what he was selling but we trudged on. The third flight in and I'm confused. What type of stairway to heaven did they get me into? By this point, I lost count and died*. When I rose from the dead, I saw this tiny space with fire pits. I, later on, realized it was a rooftop as it was super dark out when we arrived (11pm). I was escorted to the tiniest VIP section I've ever seen in my life. A friend of a friend had the hookup and we ended up in the VIP section. As soon as I stepped in I realized the DJ was up on the Afrobeats. I'm so happy that Afrobeats is a thing in the clubs and lounges now. I've been hipped to Afrobeats for a couple years and had the hardest time finding places that played my favorite genre of music. He bounced between Afrobeats and Reggae. Some guy was selling mac & cheese with jerk chicken in the back. Very diverse spot. It was a good time, I'd definitely come back.*May or may not have happened.

This spot had a cool vibe once you were inside. They play great music and have a big screen with music videos which is good because besides that there wasn't anything else really going on. The cover was $20 even for girls. The drinks are over priced. There is no where to sit even when you get a hookah expect when you buy a really expensive table. Hookah is meant to be enjoyed sitting down and relaxing with great company or by yourself. Even if none of the tables are rented out for the night they won't even let you sit down. The staff is pretensions. I am from out of town and I definitely didn't get a warm welcoming vibe there. I would not go back

Bar had a $20 cover charge, the drinks are overpriced, and the crowd was not lit even by 1:00am. The club was mostly empty with maybe one or two groups dancing. The bouncer also tried to "dress code" us for wearing a hoodie under a windbreaker and a T-Shirt undershirt for one of my friends. Another friend had to pay $30 for wearing sneakersIf you want to pay $20 for an 18+ bar go to Ultra Bar and if you are 21+ save your time and money and Decades and MadHatter are two blocks down with no cover charge for MadHatter

Everywhere we travel we are always looking for a good place to relax and wind down or turn up. This seems to be a good venue to do so. We will definitely revisit this local gem again.

The people here are ugly. There seems to be no dress code. They come in street clothes looking all sloppy. Hello this is supposed to be a night club! I wait outside for a half hour for this? Drinking is good. Staff is ok. Boring.

my girlfriends sorority booked an event for over 300 people to attend they put 2 bartenders to service the event (not enough, my a mile) they were rude when i brought up the fact that they were understaffed (which is bullshit). As someone who is a bartender at a college bar, this is unacceptable. Fuck this place. they took advantage of this group. never come here.
