Eastern Carry Out

I can't help but rave about Eastern Carry Out! The food is consistently fantastic, and the service is always top-notch. I've never encountered any rudeness here. It's a gem worth visiting for an incredible carry out experience.

I came here recently on a Saturday evening before going to Fast Eddies that is in the same strip mall. The service was really quick, like under 10 minutes. The food was super hot. This is a Chinese food take out place, so the table inside was small and not a lot of ambiance or atmosphere. I was super hungry and I ate my food right there. Since it was 11pm, they politely let me know that they were closed, and one other customer was picking up their food, so I was the last person. I didn't feel rushed or anything like that, I just didn't know the hours of operation.I had the sesame chicken. Underneath the chicken, there were a few pieces of steamed broccoli with sauce on top of the broccoli. So they put the broccoli in first, pour the sauce, and put the chicken on top. That way the chicken stays crispy and doesn't get soggy. I thought that was good touch.What can I say, the food was fast, hot, good flavor and they had chop-sticks!

This place is for carry out only (if you didn't catch that by the name), me and my co-workers go here on occasion for a quick/cheap takeout meal. The chicken is generally good and rice/noodles are sub-par. Totally worth it for the $6 lunch special though, you get a lot of food with it.

HORRIBLE RIP OFF!I just ordered Combination Egg Foo Yung, Combination Lo Mein, and Beef and Broccoli. The Combination Egg Foo Yung was nothing but onions, onions and more onions chopped up and scrambled with egg. There was nothing remotely "combination" about it. The beef used in the "Beef and Broccoli" was so chewy and fatty I ended up spitting most of it out and just eating the broccoli. And there was WAY too much damn broccoli. The dish is called "Beef and Broccoli", not Broccoli Broccoli Broccoli and Beef. I don't even want to see what the other containers have to offer. And the bad part is that the first time the driver came out he actually had the nerve to ask me for tip. I tipped him couple dollars and ate the food. It was just okay so I decided to order again today and now its worse and I already tipped that driver $5.00. This establishment won't get another DIME of my money. I only gave them a second chance because they are close to where I live but it wasn't worth it. This won't happen again.

Ordered from doordash. Fast delivery. Wonton soup good, steamed dumplings good. Crispy beef almost inedible. Very soggy and mushy. For some reason the Chinese restaurants around the Clinton area do not make this dish. Very disappointing. You would think the name should be a hint. Leaving a bad aftertaste. Ugh.

I have eaten from this establishment a few times and the food was OK. However, a couple of weeks ago I called in and ordered a dish, so I went inside to pick it up. It wasn't ready when I got there, so I paid and waited. One of the cooks was sitting just behind the register and I couldn't see the cook preparing the food. Suddenly I heard the prep cook make a LOUD sound as if he was clearing his throat to spit and then the cook sitting behind the register began looking back and forth at me and grinning. It is my belief the prep cook had spit in the food. Unfortunately I had already paid, so I took it from the cashier and threw it in the garbage. I WILL NEVER EAT ANYTHING ELSE FROM THIS PLACE!

I've been going to easterns carryout for over a decade and I've seen the quality of food go down dramatically. They get the orders wrong and instead of giving the customer what they paid for, we get low quality meals that's not even worth the price. Food is disgusting, customer service is shit and it's not worth the money nor time wasted. I wish I could give this place negative stars.

I was able to order online on their website using an order site that I have used previously for other restaurants (beyondmenu.com). Makes my life super easy to just click on what I want and pay via credit card. Eastern Carry Out delivered right to my hotel room door less than 45 minutes later. The food was still piping hot. It was good, Americanized Chinese Food (I had the chicken lo mein and crab wontons, he had the sweet and sour chicken). They were both large portions for a low price. The sweet and sour chicken were actually bursting out of the little carry box. The gent who delivered my food was personable and friendly and even had his own working pen (bonus points!). Overall very happy with my order.

They make the best shrimp fried rice here!! I think they may use a little saffron in their rice to give it "extra" flavoring and make it nice & yellow. They give you enough shrimp and a good size portion. I ate there everyday while I was visiting & staying at the Base across the street.
