Food service was alright overall. Not very attentive unless we called over for the server. We were also the only customers seated at this time we visited. However, the workers were kind.Food tasted good. The Garden Roll was just shrimp, pork, noodles, and lettuce 7/10. The Pho Old Town was a 8/10 unless we found a fly in the bowl...lost my appetite after that.Thai tea was a 8/10. I liked that it wasn't too sweet and could taste the tea. As it is in Old Town Fairfax, the store did have an older vibe to it. The inside had your older asian glossed wooden tables. Also had nice artwork along the walls of the restaurant.

a lovely pho restaurant that my family and I had the pleasure of visiting. The pho was delicious, with rich, flavorful broth and fresh ingredients. Highly recommend spring rolls and banh xeo. The owner is incredibly kind and welcoming, which made the experience even better. It's a very down-to-earth place with a warm and inviting atmosphere. Highly recommend for anyone looking for authentic and comforting pho! Affordable, fed a family of 5 for less than $80

I know this restaurant has good reviews. That's why we went there. We were very disappointed because it was very dirty including the ladies room with dirty floor and toilet. There was a fake fingernail sitting in the sink! The food was acceptable but no better than we could have gotten from a local Chinese restaurant. Sorry guys but I had to post this.

East Wind in Fairfax is fantastic for authentic Vietnamese food! Came here on a Friday night without a wait. They start you off with complimentary tasty shrimp-flavored chips. We ordered the combo vermicelli and the Vietnamese crepe with chicken (you can also choose tofu). Both were full of flavor! The vermicelli combo is great - you get to try a bit of everything, like spring rolls and your choice of grilled beef/chicken/pork. I have been looking for Vietnamese crepes, which I don't find in many Vietnamese restaurants in this area. They load it up with bean sprouts for that nice crunch. The fish sauce dressing they use makes everything taste amazing. They have a large menu and I'll definitely come back to check out their other chef's speal entrees!

Service was quick, and the restaurant is pretty hidden and quiet. I got the crispy noodle stir fried, which had a really nice variety of vegetables and yummy sauce. My friends also liked their pho and clay pot rice. The restaurant is also sorta dark and nicer than expected.

I loved how quiet and peaceful this restaurant felt, the service was great. The rice tasted a lot better once I put the soy sauce on it and I felt like it was so much rice I ended up taking some home which is always a plus for me! I would definitely try something different if I came back around here! They also offer an array of flavors for boba which I definitely want to check out next time! Parking is available in a number of different places around the restaurant along with dessert stores and other food options.

I'm extremely surprised and the unreal high ratings of this restaurant. As someone who has grown up eating Vietnamese food all her life, this place is by far the least authentic. Food: We order the puffs appetizer which were decent, a bit dry -which doesn't seem freshly made when ordered. Greater chance that it was already sitting under a heat lamp. The egg rolls (not pictured) were decent, but also a bit dry. The vermicelli noodle salad was such a disappointment. A typical Vietnamese noodle salad would include about 35% noodles, 30% salad/mints, 10% egg rolls, 5% shredded carrots/radishes, and 20% protein. This was not that. The salad was so minuscule. With a huge majority of it raw bean sprouts (likely to make the bowl appear full). My in-laws got a bowl of pho and a tofu dish. The tofu seemed mediocre and my brother in law mentioned how disappointed he was at the quality of the soup. He compared it to broth out of a carton... and there isn't much Asian and Vietnamese food where he lives now. Overall, this restaurant is extremely mediocre, hinging on the lower end. It's surprising to see so many positive reviews, but maybe those customers prefer the adjusted tastes of Vietnamese food. My husband and I won't be back.

Very consistent with food quality, quick service, friendly staff. Crispy eggrolls are very good here. The broth in their soup is pretty good and they typically provide you with a complementary appetizer. Very good lunch specials for around $13. Must try!

EastWind was a solid B- experience. The service was good and the tables were clean however the food was far from authentic. Food is all lacking critical elements such as herbs in the the summer rolls and the right makeup of spice in the squid. The shaky beef was so tough I could hardly eat it. The fried rice was dry and flavorless. While passable, the value and quality just are not where it should be. With all the other choices in the area, will be not be returning.
