Pizza was hard as a board with the bottom so burnt. It wasn't worth it. I won't be eating here ever again.
I told the guy that both $6 slices were burnt, and he said sorry but didn't offer a refund or to get me another slice.

Meh. When reviewing something like a pizza-by-the-slice place, there are only 2 things you can really judge: the pizza and the service. Ok. The Pizza. The sign on the door says New York style. I guess it is? Honestly the crust, while crisp and fresh and tasty, was too thick. Not quite "pan pizza" thick, but definitely too thick to be NY style. Overall, the pizza was ok. HERES THE THING. The one thing holding the pizza back, and keeping it from going from "ok" to good is the sauce. And by sauce, I mean lack of sauce. The pizza here eats dry. It's like cheesy bread instead of pizza. If they just upped the sauce ratio, the pizza would be much better. So it's a meh.... Ok. So. The SERVICE: What to say here? Heating up slices of pizza and then serving the customer isn't rocket surgery. When I walked in, the guy behind the counter was in some heated debate over the phone in a language that sounded to me like Russian. I mean, it was LOUD. No regard for the customers in the dining room who were trying to enjoy a slice on their lunch break. And it went on.... And on .... The whole time I was there eating. It was almost funny. Like a SNL skit. The pizza is ok, not great. Word to the wise, get it TO GO. .... Unless you love listening to 45 mins of screaming in Russian.

Not the "jumbo slice" like we used to eat on those late nights back in the day! It's like two regular slices as one. For $6 and on a late night, it was just what was needed. It was close to the hotel we were staying. The pizza itself was decent, but I won't say it was anything I would go out of my way to get. There's some seating inside. Service was quick and friendly.

I stopped in for a slice to-go and they truly weren't kidding that the slices are giant! The cashier was nice and heated up my pepperoni & pineapple slice perfectly so that it was still warm when I got back to my friend's place (about a 5 minute walk). Pizza tasted good and it was only $7. Highly recommend for a quick lunch or if you're still hungry after a night out.

for the price and quality in this area, I was very satisfied: $8 for a slice of supreme, which was really 2 slices! Keep in mind when balancing your stomach space. The slices are thin with good cheese, sauce, and crust. Not amazing but super satisfying for what I was craving. If you're in DuPont Circle and want an affordable, straightforward, and quick fixing of pizza without the frills, this is it. I wouldn't go out of my way for it, but I'll definitely come back when I'm inevitably back in the area and want a simple lunch that hits the spot. Most customers seem to do takeout, but I ate inside. It was lunch time on a weekday, and the indoor area was very clean and not that crowded. The service person was nice and fast. Some of the usual pizza fixings are available for you to top your slices: chili flakes, garlic powder, etc.

This was my first time, and sadly last time, ordering pizza from here. We ordered 2 large pizzas for pickup. We ordered the Supremo and Pineapple Pizza. The pizzas were paid for online. The person who picked them up did not order the pizzas. When they got there, he told the person the pineapple pizza had no pepperoni. The person picking it up said okay. I know that sounds reasonable but the web site list the Pineapple Pizza as tomato sauce, mozzarella, cheese, pepperoni, and pineapple. When I called to get clarification the person said he asked about pepperoni and that you had to ask for it, even though it is listed as one of their pizzas with pepperoni. That makes no sense. The arrogance of the person on the other side was really what was offensive. As for the actual pizza, it's okay. Not bad, just okay.

Came in with some friends while they ate pizza. I'm personally not a fan of pizza, however, I was impressed at how big the slices were to only be eight dollars. On a cold wet day the place was warm and inviting like a good homie Italian place. There were outlets all over which allowed me time and space to do work while I waited. The bathrooms were clean but sadly no soap. Also loved that drinks were only $1.50 in comparison to $3.00 - $5.00 all over the city just for bottled water

This pizza is good pizza. Award winning? Maybe not. In baseball terms, a solid line drive basehit when you need one. Great bargain, in town with very few. I almost ordered two slices (as usual) but really glad I opted for one, as really is two (I asked mine to be cut down the center). Guy behind counter was fine, service was good. No Coke Zero, but otherwise basic soda & bottle water - & shocker - no ridiculous overpriced $5 can nonsense. Clean interior, bright white tile. A/C was sweet on hot spring afternoon. I am usually to go guy but I stayed, it was quiet, not crowded - like a mini mid day refuge. And no +20% markup service fee like a certain pizza joint place nearby! Haters gonna hate - if in area, go see for yourself.

Coming from New York, this was crap pizza without enough tomato sauce. I think they should hire some Italians. (no offense) I watched the Eastern European guy putting hardly any sauce on the pie. And the slice was tasteless like cardboard. I gave it to the homeless guy outside. Secondly, you have to buy 1/4 of a pie at $8 for 2 slices. You can't just get 1 slice of tasteless pizza for a normal street price.
