So. Mostly out of sympathy and hope that Dudley's will survive, I am leaving a four star review. We recently went and after sitting at the bar and being immediately greeted and provided with a card to fill out a survey regarding the service (yet to be provided), we were then ignored for about 10-15 minutes. We also debated whether this qualified as being ironic, but Alanis has confused this meaning forever more.Normally we would have left, but Dudley's has clearly lost business to (in my opinion) inferior Astro and like I said, we want them to survive. We finally order drinks and what we ask for (which is listed on the menu) isn't available - fine, that'll happen. We order Sierra Nevada, but the Sierra they have isn't the one on the menu, but no one tells us this. Even though this isn't the beer we wanted and neither of us really like it, we drink the pitcher bc we have been raised not to complain (for better or worse). When our original order was taken, we were asked if we'd be ordering food and we said "Yes" while placing an appetizer order. So in the time it took to drink our pitcher of beer we found it difficult to get anyone's attention and by the time someone checked in on us we had given up and just asked for our check. Also, not for nothing, but our softball team used to come here after games, but service took forever and the team voted to go to Astro even though their beer selection is shit (although they did offer us a free pitcher of said shitty beer).I really hope Dudley's turns things around, bc Shirlington needs more opions, but theymake it harder to keep going back. Also (last note), I run super hot but dear lord turn your heat up. It's cold as shit inside during the winter

This is a solid place to grab some food, drinks, and watch the game. There are several TV's here. My interaction with the bartender was great. He was attentive. We ordered smash burgers and wings. I thought both were flavorful and good. It is pretty spacious, there is ample seating. I would return.

Dudleys has been slowly circling the bowl long before they were sold to new owners, but I'm done with them. The service has always sucked; there's high turnover, and if anyone gives good service, they don't stay around long. Shrinkflation has become bad, with them cutting the number of wings in an order from eight to six and still charging $15 for them. They are not worth $2.50 a wing. Used to be their beer prices were high but decent for happy hour, but they raised those prices too. The pizza used to be good and I heard they got their dough from a local Italian store, but now it tastes like cardboard. Nail in the coffin was I went for happy hour today and despite having signs everywhere saying small pizzas are $10, they charged me $12. I get it if you have to change your prices, but change your signage if you do.

Well, this has never happened. If I could give a 0, I would. We came to Dudley's quite a few times for games and trivia. It was never a fancy joint, but for a sports bar, it was fine. The vibes were fun; managers, bartenders and staff were friendly; and food was decent. II's like a complete 180. We recently came for a playoff game. Apparently, there was a management change. Service was terrible, no one seems to care, food is sub par (yet more expensive), and the managers and staff that stood out have all quit. We won't be back. Avoid.

This place is ok. My husband and I moved to Shirlington 3 years ago and used to come to Dudley's every week. They got new management a while ago and everything changed. I don't think the food is as good and the prices went up (they were already high). The last time we came for lunch the heat wasn't working and we had to leave because it was way too cold. One positive is the service, the waiters are almost always great!

Really good buffalo wings that we got from the Tailgate menu -- $11 for a pound of wings is a great deal. The waiter was awesome and even slid us an extra cup of ranch for free. Also the rooftop is a great spot on a nice day!

I went to Dudley's on a Saturday afternoon to watch the EuroCup final. We wanted a spot to watch the game on the big screen and enjoy some solid bites and brews, and they delivered.Because this was a big gameday, the bottom floor was packed (about 30 minutes before the game's start) so we immediately headed upstairs to the roof area. The rooftop was really nice; had alot of bar top seating, a long bar with 15-20 stools, a big screen (or maybe projector) tv. Fortunately, the rooftop is also 'mostly' covered with large cloth awnings to provide some shade from the sun. They also had large fans blowing air out into the space - definitely needed on a 90+ degree day. Unfortunately, those who didn't snag a shaded seat didn't last long on the roof. The drinks were well made and moderately priced - $8 for most beers, seltzers, and rail drinks then $12+ for the cocktails. I stuck to rail rum for the day and my friends had mostly seltzers; can't go wrong here. The food was solid - we got the chips and salsa and some wings to snack on during the game. The salsa was delicious, but they only gave us one small ramekin of it for the entire bowl of chips. The sweet and spicy wings were the perfect balance of sweetness with a kick - I'd definitely get these again. The atmosphere is casual and was just the right amount of rowdy for a soccer game. Nothing stood out as a unique or amazing trait, but definitely a spot I would be more than willing to come back to.

Dudley's is a sports bar in Village at Shirlington. Inside, there are lots of tables and spots at the bar to watch the games. The upstairs is an awesome rooftop that has a bar, restrooms, and lots of seating.I've been to Dudley's for brunch and dinner. They have a great mimosa deal if interested. I do recommend their pizza or wing options, both were flavorful and large portions for the price. The service was standard bar service but the employees were attentive and it helped create a great, chill experience.

New management only made this place worse. I'm not even sure how they are still open. Don't dare during happy hour. You will wait 20-30 mins for a simple drink. They set their staff up for failure. Having one person working the entire restaurant isn't a good look. Food is subpar, even for bar food. We ordered a pitcher of beer, which we got after 20 mins but no glasses. After another 15 mins of being ignored, I just walked behind the bar and grabbed my party a bunch of classes so we could actually drink the beer. Don't waste your time or money at this place. It's clear the management doesn't care at all about this place or its employees

This is a decent sports bar with one serious failure. I came today to watch the NFL playoffs and didn't have a problem getting a seat, despite arriving after the game started. The service was good, and I have no complaints about the food (house salad, cheesesteak egg rolls, and their version of a bloomin' onion). They have a ton of TVs showing the game, so it's easy to watch wherever you sit. My complaint is with the sound. When you go to a bar to watch a game, especially when it's the only one on, you expect to be able to hear the game sound. They had the sound on, and I assume couldn't turn it up any more, but I was never able to hear it clearly. No matter where I moved around in the place, and even when the loud people quieted down, I couldn't clearly hear the game audio. I don't know if they have bad acoustics (possible given how common that is in restaurants and bars, and the exposed-rafters-and-ventilation style) or a weak sound system. Whatever the problem, it really hurts them as a sports bar.
