This first part will be my first visit Thursday night & will be a five star. Location was within walking distance of my hotel. Crowded but festive & cheerful. Very good drink selection & the food was amazing. This part is for today Friday night. Was hoping to get a burger & a drink again but lost my appetite fast when someone decided to order fish. The smell of it made me gag & I had to fight not to throw up. Was hoping after an hour the smell would dissipate but it lingered bad. So to the person who ordered fish & made me lose my appetite I hate you.

Came here on a Friday night and sat at the bar. They had live music and a friendly crowd, spent a couple hours here and it was great! Ordered the classic burger and fries, the Guinness burger, and split the Shepard's pie. Great burger and fries, would definitely order that and the Shepard's pie again! The Guinness was great, best I've had in DC. Overall great place, will definitely be back!

We had just gotten into town, checked in the connected hotel, and headed straight to grab some lunch. We picked the right spot! Amazing service, very lively and a cool vibe. Amazing collection of whiskeys and drafts. The menu is traditional Irish food which was so great to see! It was hard to narrow down what I wanted to eat when you see so many good options.I got the corned beef sandwich. And it was piled high and delicious. The fries were so good too! My hubby got the shepherds pie and it was amazing! We might be sneaking by for another time during our stay.

This is the place to go if you crave for a thirst quenching pint of Guiness (or other wide selection of beers) and good old home cooked Irish food (Irish Stew, Chicken Pot Pie, Fish and Chips) especially the Irish Country Breakfast which has been becoming hard to find in the US. The design of the pub is a mirror image of some of the great pubs that we visited in Ireland with Books of Kells windows, stained glass (part of the front door),traditional Irish music and decor design. To add to that, the service was friendly with good pub ambience.

We really liked their fish and chips, their cod fish was in a very light batter, so it's nicely crispy but not thick, and really let the fish shine.

Tuesday had beautiful weather, so we sat outside at the Dubliner for lunch. Our waitress was very sweet and offered great suggestions I ordered the pretzel appetizer, and the chicken potpie that she suggested. My friend ordered the chicken and bacon sandwich with fries. The pretzel was way too salty so we sent it back and got artichoke dip and chips. I have to say I should've just sent it back and left appetizers, alone. The artichoke dip cheese was burnt, and the chips were very hard Overcooked. The saving grace was the chicken potpie. It was amazing. It had a huge crusty flake on top and the flavors were incredible and warm and savory. My friend said the chicken sandwich was good overall I just ordered the Popeye. It would've been 11 out of 10 I would recommend going there it's a neat place.

Every year in February the first Sunday of the month we end up here. Two of us order the Shepherds Pie and the other two - chicken pot pie. Amazing service and folks who work here. Definitely an old Irish pub feel. This year we ended up going there twice in three days.

Just a few yards from Union Station & the Capitol Building, this touristy Irish bar & restaurant has been in DC since 1974, serving cold Guinness and fish & chips since opening. Both of which were good standard faire, and we can say the same for the Salmon based Ruben and the Burger. Good wine & spirits selection. The pretzel bread was enough for two, but the Onion soup was not the best. Heavy on salt & bread, light on broth & beef flavor. In general the service was good, but be careful of the charges- as we got the bill there were added unexpected service charges that weren't explained, and a high. tip charge (25%) was already pre-selected for average service. Certainly not supported by a wobbly table in a colder part of the restaurant outer rooms.
