May 2023 was the first time I ordered from this place through Postmates and this is my original review copied from Google Maps and updated today. (May 2023 Review) The food is alright, however, after my 3rd order through Postmates I was shorted an egg roll. I called the establishment to let them know & the man just tried to explain away his mistake by saying that I ordered the large General Tso's Chicken." I know what I ordered because it was the same as the last order just minus the chocolate cake & carrot cake they charge $4.99 for a slice. I won't be ordering from here again.Update: (Wed. 11-27-2024)I gave this place one more chance and they screwed up again. The owner doesn't own up to his mistakes and doesn't want to rectify it. He blames Postmates saying, "I only cook what order come through the app." Well, I ordered a Vegetable Fried Rice + Snow Peas, Carrots, Broccoli, and an Egg. Whether I'm ordering beef fried rice or vegetable fried rice, I always order it the same way. I received a small container of Fried Rice that didn't have any vegetables in it besides carrots and peas. My hubby ordered the Shrimp Egg Foo Young. I ordered a Chicken Egg Foo Young last year (May 2023) and it was so disgusting that I decided never to get that again. Who wants to eat orange gravy? Gravy is anything but orange. Tonight when we received our food, there was a Vegetable Egg Foo Young with all of the veggies I asked for with the fried rice I ordered put inside the Vegetable Egg Foo Young. We didn't order this. I called the store and of course the owner is a jackhole and didn't want to make the order right. So I took that nasty ass food back to the carryout and gave them that bullshit back. I'm never ordering from this place ever again and if you're smart, you won't even bother to order here if you haven't been. Take it from someone who has 5.6 million viewers on Google Maps (screenshot posted as proof) and is also a Yelp Elite. Do Not Eat At This Carryout. You've been warned. The owner will not admit to or correct his mistakes, will talk over you when you're talking which is ultra rude, and the food isn't good. No such thing as ambience with a carryout.

I ordered using Doordash and via their website on two separate occasions. For the price they charge, this restaurant offers a lot of food!! My goodness. It felt like the bag was about at least 10lbs when I received them. The food itself was also absolutely delicious. I was working nearby and everything was perfect. The fried rice was nice and fluffy without it being too salty from overuse of soy sauce. The sesame chicken was just right. The dumplings, I didn't particularly care for, but then again I'm picky. Their Singaporean rice noodle was to die for. It contained smorgasbord of shrimp, char siu, and all sorts of goodies. I am drooling just remembering about it. I may just order that again for lunch today even though I am about 30 minutes away from the restaurant location. So if you are in the downtown Silver Spring area and want a good hefty amount of reasonably priced Chinese food, Dragon City is the place to go!

My current favorite Chinese takeout. This place is delicious. They are pretty quick, and my food always arrives hot and ready.

Was hungry late last night and with not much open and a DoorDash 20% off promo my fiancé and I decided to order from here. We ordered both Mongolian Beef and Orange Chicken, which was under $20. The food came very fast (in like 15 minutes) from when we placed an order, which may be record time for any food delivery. The Orange Chicken is crispy and tasty as expected and Mongolian Beef and fried rice with it are very delicious and beats what we had on Christmas from the Asian fusion takeout joint City Taste. We weren't quite as hungry as we thought which is great since it fed us for lunch today. Dragon City is definitely underrated and I think pretty close to Mandarin on quality and even better than Golden House. The only disadvantage here compared to its neighborhood competitors is that they do not have a plant-based meat menu.

This has to be the worst Chinese food I've ever ordered. It was my first & LAST time ordering from here. The orange & sesame chicken had a weird smell to it. I couldn't even eat it. The chicken is low quality & dried out. I ended up throwing it all away. The chicken in both dishes were dry & extremely over fried. The pieces were hard & difficult to chew. I could not finish the food & it felt unsafe to feed to my children. I question the preparation of the food. I will never recommend this place to anyone ever! If I could give zero stars I definitely would.

I don't give 4 stars lightly, but for Chinese takeout, it's pretty good! This is only my second time ordering from here (and I am so glad I checked my Yelp review from years ago!) The crab rangoon filling IS flavorful and while it is proportional for a lotus shape, triangles would make the bite even more proportional and give more of the filling (which I love!) The combination lo mein is my favorite of the local Chinese places. It has the right ratio of protein. I also ordered sweet and sour chicken. They gave me two containers of the sauce (which is a lot!) and there is no up charge for the fried rice. I only had a few spoonfuls of the fried rice, but it was not good. However, I think good fried rice is incredibly hard to find. Overall, they have what I want and it's tasty.

Open as of November 2020. Accepts cash and credit card. Also does delivery too. We ordered takeout / delivery here and wanted to give this place a try. We ordered from their combination platter menu: Triple Delight. It comes with your choice of chicken fried rice or pork fried rice. It comes with an egg roll as well. The portion size was enough for 1 person. The sauce was not too salty and good ratio between proteins and veggies. The egg roll was not too greasy. We also ordered their Singapore rice noodles. The noodles they use are a bit thinner than what you see in other carry outs. I think this is a good thing. The noodles have a nice pull to them. It normally comes with curry powder and spicy. If you don't like spice, you can request no spicy.Food is decent especially when you need a quick bite. Can't say much about customer service since this was a delivery order. Otherwise, definitely check them out.

We ordered via Uber Eats and we enjoyed our food!We ordered wonton soup, chicken rice soup, steak cheese egg rolls and beef chow fun. Everything was tasty and they were very generous with beef in the beef chow fun! Steak cheese egg rolls are good, but they use more beef and cheese filling, not sure why they added vegetables. Great value and we'll definitely ordered from them again!

Chopped up gyro meat does not belong in egg rolls. Dirty floor in waiting area, although the kitchen looks clean. Barely one star.

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. Matter of fact, I'd give them negative one stars if I could. I rarely write a bad review for a place. I hate writing bad reviews, but the food here was disgusting and I feel it's incumbent upon me as someone who had an awful experience here to warn the masses. First, the fried dumplings were literally crunchy and were bland, visibly overcooked. The general Tso's chicken was slightly more tolerable but barely had any sauce. The fried rice was the worst; it was creamy and had a foul odor. I took maybe a half a bite of the rice before I had to throw it out. Never again.
