Donburi Dojo & Ramen House

Ordered delivery via Uber Eats, and very much enjoyed the hamachi dunburi. The fish (generous portion) was fresh and tasty, and I also liked the pickled vegetables. Also liked the edamame. Well priced.

Had only the tonkatsu ramen and gyozas- it was delicious however, I felt like there weren't many pieces of meat (only 2 big patties). I feel like if I ordered and ate this when it came out fresh, it would be a lot better. I ordered this to-go, and found the soup to taste a little salty but not bad. I wish there were more noodles. The pork gyozas were good, not crunchy but steamed and the filling was delicious. Overall, it's pretty decent but next time I go, I would like to try more than just the gyoza and ramen.

Had a little Uber Eats night and went for Donburi Dojo & Ramen House. The chicken Katsu curry? Decent but satisfying. Now, the pork gyoza were a highlight - got them steamed and I really appreciated that they let me choose the preparation method. It's those small choices that can make a dish just right. The wings were standard fare, nothing too memorable. The veggie yaki soba noodles were alright but felt they could use a bit more oomph.I'm thinking the in-person experience might add a bit more to the overall vibe, especially with the fresh-out-the-kitchen feel. Definitely willing to drop by their spot and give it another go. They seem to have some cool options, so I'm curious to explore more!

I came here around 9 pm on a weekday night because I was starving and craving some Japanese food. This place is technically located inside Kusshi Sushi, so you would just be seated regularly there and can order food off their menu. For Donburi Dojo and Ramen House, the food items are listed on the Silver Spring online menu (but you can still order them here at the Bethesda location!). I ordered a pork katsu don. It blew me away with how good it was and totally surpassed my expectations. All of the katsu pieces were cooked well and mixed great with the egg and onions. The sauce was my favorite part because of how flavorful it was, ultimately creating a slightly sweet dish that completely hit the spot for me. It's easily the best katsu don that I've had in the DMV area!

So THIS is real ramen? I always love visiting my brother in the DC area because of how amazing the ethic food is. We ordered delivery from here so I can only speak to the food and not the service or aesthetic. This place came highly recommended from my brother and sister-in-law. I got the Spicy Miso Ramen with added spicy paste and it was just perfect. Sadly, the ramen was lukewarm due to inefficiencies with DoorDash and not the restaurant BUT the flavors were incredible. I love how they packaged all the ingredients in a top section of the to go bowl that was sitting off the broth so they didn't get soggy. Everything had great flavor and the spice level with the added paste was perfect. Highly suggest grabbing this ramen if you're in the area because I've been dreaming about it ever since. Please open a location in Charlotte?

My favorite dish from this place! Perfect on a chilly rainy day. This is not my first review of this place. Please see my last review on how exceptional the food quality and ingredients are. Thanks for making my first lunch out of the year special!!!

Overall: The food was excellent. I ordered Gyudon, Oyakudon, Pot Stickers and wings.Gyudon and Oyakudon looked, smelled and tasted amazing. Really reminded me of when I lived in Japan.I ordered deep fried pot stickers. They were pan fried but ok. The bad: The wings taste great but they gave me only 5 small/med sized wings for $13. That's insane. Min for $13 would be around 8 wings at least for large wings. There's a clear reason they don't list how many you get. I will try them again but not for wings.

The spicy miso ramen is really good! I highly recommend it and I ordered chicken teriyaki with it, great presentation and taste very good!

Sadly no photos this time around since I inhaled the food. The Gyudon, Pork Katsu, and Chirashi were delicious. The Pork Katsu portion size is HUGE. All the flavors were phenomenal, even after being delivered on Uber Eats. I would love to eat the food at this place over and over again.

I was excited to try a new Ramen place. We ordered Tonkotsu and vegan ramen. While the portions were a good size, both were relatively tasteless. The Tonkotsu broth tasted like diluted low salt Better than Bullion chicken broth. Do yourself a favor - just go to Jinya.
