Don Pollo

I love Don Pollo! I seem to live really close to one every time I move Their Peruvian chicken is just sooo tasty and you can smell just how good it tastes from the moment you step through the door. The staff greeted me when I walked in and took my order right away. I didn't have to wait long for my order. I ordered their Half chicken with two sides. My two sides were Chaufa rice and plantains! While the sides were really good, The star of the show, without a doubt, is their Peruvian chicken. Marinated to perfection with a blend of Peruvian spices and slow-roasted to achieve that golden, crispy skin while keeping the meat juicy and flavorful. Portion sizes are generous! I ate this meal for dinner and then lunch the next day! This location also has parking right out front and you can sit inside to eat if you want. They have small tables that are minimally decorated. Overall, will be back here again!

So good!! Place was hopping!! Placed an order via their website. Food was ready when we got there. Chicken was great, lots of great sides. Only down side was my daughter ordered the LOMO SALTADO which comes with steak fries and rice. At first we thought the fries were missing but they were buried under the steak and vegetables causing them to be soaked and soggy with meat juice. Other than that it was a great experience!

At first I was very reluctant to go in because of all of the vagrants congregating and yelling in front of the restaurant. I waited about 15 minutes for the festivities to calm down but eventually I just got out of my car and scurried into the restaurant hoping not to be accosted.I was pleased to be greeted by a pleasant young man who took my order. He said it would be about 10 to 15 minutes before the order would be ready. True to his word the order was ready at about 12 minutes in.I took the food home and I was absolutely delighted at the result. I ordered Pollo Soltado and it was prepared perfectly. I asked for the potatoes to be packed separately and they did so which I appreciated. I'm not a food critic but I've had this dish at many, many restaurants and this was definitely in the top 25%.Nicely done hermanos.

Very expensive for what you get and my order is frequently incorrect or chickens were disappointingly small, and I found the staff to be unfriendly. I used to love this place, but quality is going downhill. I'm going to try a couple of other Peruvian chicken places near by. Further, charging customers a credit card fee when they just spent $50 buying food in your establishment just isn't right.

Seriously great food. Fantastic service. Yuca is amazing. I eat here a lot. Every location is uniformly good.

"It was fine" my wife said when I asked for her input for this review. We both had quarter white meat with two sides. She had the fried rice and salad and I had the mashed potatoes and salad. You can get any kind of dressing you want as long as it is the one they serve. The mashed potatoes were outstanding with a hint of garlic. The chicken was good, I was hoping for crispier skin but the meat was tender and juicy. The fried rice was a little greasy. Food was ready when we arrived to pick it up. Definitely a carry out place. It was fine.

The food here is great. Pretty authentic Peruvian. I got ceviche and my husband got lomo saltado. Both were good but were smaller portions than their other locations. I'll return but likely to their other locations.

I was really looking forward to some good Peruvian chicken, but I was disappointed tonight. Their quality is going down. Chicken is very salty and dry...:(

They always make sure to serve some rotten food or food from the day before or days before. they are very dishonest.
