Doki Doki BBQ

I've never had a real McRib from McDonald's, but Doki Doki's version is quite the mouthful. It's a section of moist St. Louis ribs between two buns, dripping in char siu hoisin bbq sauce. It's a messy meal, but so delicious. Most of the time, I did not have to worry about the bone, which stuck out on the side of the sandwich. If you have never had hoisin sauce on ribs, it's a really good combination! I got this after carefully narrowing down everything on the big menu. My dining partner had the lemongrass chicken, which was also very good. The food took a while to come out, but it was worth the wait. Out of everything in the food hall, you will find the most unique menu options here. Unfortunately, I was so full that I didn't have any room left for Tiger Sugar.

Alrighttt, I've been waiting for this joint to open and while there's much more for me to try, I'm already digging it. Bonus is that they brought Hot Lola's (hot chicken sammies) to this counter as well!The menu is pretty big for a food hall stand, but I came back twice in a week. There are definitely some improvements that need to be made, but I like the concept and have only tried a quarter of the menu.Highlights for me are the banana pudding and loaded wedge fries! The banana pudding has Vietnamese coffee in it, so it's a very pleasant bitterness with plenty of bananas. It's also not the small container, so so ate half of it in one sitting and enjoyed the rest the day after. Now the friessss, y'alllll. I don't love wedge fries, I was disappointed they have the waffle fries they typically have at Hot Lola's, but this was my fav item this far!! The fries themselves are super crisp with light seasoning on them, truly the crispiest wedge fries I've eaten. The loaded version has a mound of mapo tofu, sour cream, and cheddar cheese. It's rich af, but so very delicious! The mapo tofu flavor is a tad dialed down, but I think it works in this combo.If you get overwhelmed by the menu, know that you're not alone. Excited to try more and discover new favorites.

Friendly service. I just wanted a quick bite so I ordered the chicken wings which comes with Cole slaw. The wings come atop a slice of thickly sliced toasted bed. My order was to go. Unfortunately my cole slaw wasn't placed in the bag. The wings were tasty but over cooked.

Have only tried one thing but it was amazing - the burnt ends pork belly bowl with pandan rice and pickles. Fantastically delicious.
